A natural language processing method called sentiment analysis automatically detects and measures subjective information in text or audio data. It may be used in many different situations. However, due to the complexity of the Arabic language and the scarcity of labeled audio datasets, sentiment analysis on Arabic audio data poses particular difficulties. This study suggests a fresh method for analyzing Arabic sentiment in audio data utilizing machine learning and transformers. With the Count Vectorizer and n-gram techniques serving as the feature extractors, the objective is to assess the effectiveness of several machine learning algorithms, such as AraBERT, Linear Regression, Decision Tree, Random Forest, and Naive Bayes. The suggested method seeks to achieve high accuracy in sentiment categorization by overcoming the difficulties of Arabic audio sentiment analysis. The study evaluates the proposed approach on a newly created Arabic audio dataset and compares the results with existing approaches. The obtained results in terms of Accuracy (ACC), Precision (PREC), and Recall (REC) show excellent results, with the proposed approach outperforming existing approaches. The discussion section analyzes the impact of different feature extraction methods and machine learning algorithms on the performance of the sentiment analysis model. The results show that the AraBERT model achieves the highest accuracy. © 2023 IEEE.

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been widely used in different tasks. Path planning is the most important factor in the operation of UAVs. This paper proposes a 3D path planning method based on an improved A∗ algorithm to train the UAV to fly in a real-world environment. The terrain data is first processed with a digital elevation model (DEM). Then the cost function, which balances route efficiency and environmental factors such as weather threats, is built. The available action space for the UAV is reduced considering the manoeuvrability of the vehicle. An improved A∗ algorithm is used to solve the search model, and the efficiency is enhanced by optimizing the data structure and building a weighted A∗ algorithm. Simulation results show that the method performed well in planning an optimal path in a 3D environment, and the algorithm is simple and efficient. This work contributes to path planning for UAVs in different missions. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

GIS equipment has been widely used in power transmission engineering due to its advantages of high reliability and small size. Different from normal-Temperature areas, low-Temperature and high-cold areas pose challenges to the normal use of GIS. For example, in low temperature areas, the liquefaction of SF6, the low temperature characteristics of the structure and materials should be considered. In order to cope with low temperature application scenarios, in addition to reducing air pressure and gas mixing, the use of heating cables has become the main way to ensure gas performance. This paper proposes a design scheme for the acquisition device of the tracing belt for 550kV GIS/HGIS. On the basis of multi-point temperature acquisition, the Kalman algorithm is used for filtering, and the design of the host computer is completed. This study can provide theoretical guidance for the design of GIS tracing belts. © 2023 IEEE.

Electrooculogram (EOG) is an electrophysiological signal produced around the eyes due to eyeball motion. This signal can be utilized to study eye movements which is bene-ficial in many medical and bio-electrical applications such as controlling human-computer interfaces and diagnosing different ocular diseases. However, the EOG is often contaminated with high-frequency motion artifacts, 50/60 Hz grid interference, and baseline wander. Hence, the collected signals are required to be preprocessed before finally being used in applications. This paper proposes an efficient FPGA-based EOG processor for fast and real-time processing of EOG signals, especially for medical diagnosis. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first work to implement EOG serial preprocessing by FIR and IIR filters on FPGA. MATLAB's FDA tool is used for mathematical validation and primary simulation. The proposed system was implemented on the Xilinx Zynq-7000 FPGA by hardware/software co-design. By statistical analysis, the software and hardware results were found to have the Pearson Correlation Coefficient of 0.99 and a Mean Root Squared Error in the 10-3 range. The resource utilization and power consumption are presented. The on-chip power consumption for this design is 0.271 watts where dynamic power is 0.163 watts (60%), and static power is 0.108 watts (40%). Performance evaluation and comparative study of the software-hardware results revealed the efficacy of the designed EOG preprocessor. © 2023 IEEE.

Every year, numerous papers are published across various fields, with some focusing on specific areas while others explore multidisciplinary topics. The research field information of a paper can serve as a useful indicator of its direction and topic. However, many researchers tend to assess the similarity of papers through natural language processing, overlooking the significance of considering the research fields. To this end, this paper proposes a method to calculate the similarity of papers base on the research field that leverage their correlation. We represent a paper by a vector composed of research fields. We introduce a relevance matrix between the research fields, which contains the closeness of the different research fields, and finally calculate the similarity of the paper representation vector to get the results. The method in this paper shows good performance on datasets retrieved from the Open Academic Graph. © 2023 IEEE.

Addressing the challenges and substantial maintenance expenses associated with detecting defects in power equipment families during grid operations, this study introduces a novel method for identifying these defects. This method leverages a multidimensional approach to data fusion. Initially, it involves processing various sources of data and constructing a recursive graph based on structured time series data. This step helps in aligning both structured and unstructured data within a uniform descriptive framework. Subsequently, the method involves extracting features from the recursive graph and existing image data by utilizing a convolutional neural network, resulting in distinct feature vectors. These vectors are then intelligently combined and merged using adaptive weighting. This technique focuses on defect detection in power equipment families, enabling enhanced perception of the state of the equipment through the integrated analysis of multi-modal data features. © 2023 IEEE.

With the development of text mining technology, how to quickly summarize and form a complaint work order's abstract based on long hotline voice transcription text, which has become a key point to improve the efficiency of agent service processing. Although online companies have a massive amount of hotline transcribed text data, there is no research on automatically generating work order's summary in mobile customer service. To reduce the cost of manual order creation, this paper proposes three methods: extractive methods (including Lead3, Tf-idf+score sorting, TextRank), generative methods (including Seq2Seq, PGN), and the combination method of extractive and generative(including Spaces, Unilm, and T5 models). The Rouge-l value is up to 0.5071, which indicates that the method proposed is effective. © 2023 IEEE.

Specific emitter identification (SEI) identifies targets mainly by unintentional modulation of the signal. However, due to the high energy of the primary signal, once the primary signal changes, the recognition becomes less effective or even impossible using a feature database that is not updated. In this paper, we propose to use a mutual information improved variable mode decomposition (VMD) algorithm to suppress the primary signal phase of the transmitter. Furthermore, we simulate the feature extraction of the unintentional phase modulation of the transmitter signal and use support vector machine (SVM) for individual identification. The simulation results show that the algorithm improves the recognition rate by about 6% (0 dB) compared to the retained primary signal. The results demonstrate that our proposed phase suppression technique improves the adaptability and accuracy of individual identification of transmitters. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. An optimal design of Substrate Integrated Waveguide dual band filter is presented in this article using the artificial bee colony Metaheuristic;the performance results are obtained using MATLAB programing language. Furthermore, Ansys HFSS software validates the dimensions acquired, demonstrating that two resonance peaks are available;first one occurs at 8.9GHz with reflection coefficient of -41dB and insertion loss -0.14dB, and second resonance occurs at 10GHz with a reflection coefficient of -41.9dB with insertion loss -0.2dB. Both resonances are given concentrated bandwidth: 0.15GHz and 0.3GHz respectively with an attenuation constant optimum around 0.42 dB/m. Designed filter meets the requirement of multiband and miniaturized components very demand in modern telecommunication systems © 2023 IEEE.

There are many advanced concepts and abstractions involved in signal-class courses, which require complex mathematical formulas to be deduced and proven. The derivation process of these formulas is difficult to follow, and there is a challenge in correlating them to the experimental results, making it difficult for students to understand. In response to the non-open-source nature of Matlab, Python, as a free and open-source programming language, has powerful features and rich third-party library resources, supporting various signal processing methods and algorithms, showing unique advantages and effects. Currently, existing experimental simulation platforms for signal courses are often designed for a certain type of course, such as Digital signal processing, Communication Principle, signals and Systems, etc. These platforms only provide limited cases and experiments, and the course content they cover is relatively single and independent, lacking the connection and integration of knowledge points between different courses. To improve this situation, this article chose PyQt5 as the development tool library, with its excellent performance and rich resources, to design and develop an experimental simulation platform for signal-class courses. This platform closely follows the teaching syllabus and divides the platform into multiple modules according to the division of teaching content. Each module contains corresponding course knowledge points and experimental simulations. The platform also has various teaching service functions such as online self-study and teaching guidance, which can help teachers make teaching more vivid and interesting, and can also help students better understand abstract theories and concepts. The platform has been put into teaching and learning in our college and other brotherly universities, which receiving positive feedback and praise from teachers and students. © 2024 IEEE.
