Arrhythmia, a potentially life-threatening heart rhythm disturbance, requires accurate diagnosis and treatment. Detection through electrocardiogram (ECG) signals is the most prevalent method, yet the complex analysis often generates irrelevant features, impacting fault detection. This study innovatively addresses these challenges by introducing an effective feature selection algorithm aimed at identifying the most informative features within ECG signals to enhance arrhythmia detection performance. The approach incorporates a reengineering method, involving the analysis and redesign of existing systems to boost their functionality. Utilizing the MIT-BIH ECG signal dataset, a comprehensive compilation from various medical centers, the research encompasses signal processing, feature extraction, and the application of Information Gain (IG). Evaluation metrics unveil the algorithm's accuracy, with IG implementation achieving an impressive accuracy rate of 98.79%. Moreover, the algorithm demonstrates a specificity of 99.41% and a sensitivity of 98.79%. This feature selection algorithm not only attains high accuracy levels but also presents a novel contribution in aiding doctors to make more precise diagnoses and select appropriate treatments for patients with arrhythmias. The study stands out for its holistic approach, combining feature selection with reengineering techniques, resulting in an innovative methodology for improved arrhythmia detection. Furthermore, the study introduces a novel integration of Information Gain with a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architecture, addressing overfitting issues and enhancing the robustness of arrhythmia detection in ECG signals. This integration represents a unique contribution to the field, providing an innovative solution for accurate arrhythmia detection. © 2023 IEEE.

Hope serves as a potent driving force that motivates individuals to persist in the face of life’s unpredictable nature. The Hope Speech poses a substantial challenge to online information credibility, mainly due to rapid content dissemination on social media. This article offers a concise overview of the"Hope Speech Detection for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion-LT-EDIRANLP 2023" shared task1. The task’s objective is to classify social media posts as hopeful or not, with a specific focus on four languages: English, Hindi, Bulgarian, and Spanish. Code-mixing is a word or phrase-level act of interchanging two or more languages during a conversation or in written text within a sentence. This phenomenon is widespread on social media platforms, and understanding the underlying abusive comments in a code-mixed sentence is a complex challenge. We present our system in our submission for the DravidianLangTech Shared Task on Abusive Comment Detection in Tamil and Telugu. Our approach involves building a multiclass abusive detection model that recognizes 8 different labels. The provided samples are code-mixed Tamil-English text, where Tamil is represented in romanised form. We focused on the Multiclass classification subtask, and we leveraged Support Vector Machine (SVM), Random Forest (RF), and Logistic Regression (LR). Our method exhibited its effectiveness in the shared task by earning the ninth rank out of all competing systems for the classification of abusive comments in the code-mixed text. Our proposed classifier achieves an impressive accuracy of 0.99 and an F1-score of 0.99 for a balanced dataset using TF-IDF with SVM. This paper mainly studies the channel characteristics of the simultaneous power line transmission system of underwater equipment, and analyzes the pilot density optimization algorithm used for channel data transmission based on channel estimation, and compares and studies whether the optimization algorithm can optimize the transmission rate of the system in different channel estimation methods. For the analysis of channel characteristics, firstly, the attenuation characteristics of the power line suitable for simultaneous energy and signal transmission in the underwater environment were simulated, and then the load impedance characteristics were added to the circuit for channel modeling. For the pilot density optimization part, according to the pilot classification of IEEE 1901.1 physical layer standard, the blind channel estimation method, the least square method, and the minimum mean square error method are used to estimate the channel, and the channel phase change metric is calculated according to the estimated value, and the pilot level is dynamically adjusted according to the metric threshold table to achieve the most suitable pilot density. Finally, compared with several channel estimation methods, the pilot density optimization algorithm in the channel environment of this paper can improve the data transmission rate of the system under the premise of ensuring a low bit error rate of the system. © 2023 IEEE.

Aiming at the current challenges of vehicle detection algorithms, such as complex models, large parameter sizes, and high requirements for hardware calculation, this paper introduces a lightweight improved YOLOv5 algorithm, which maintains high accuracy while remarkably reducing the number of model parameters. Firstly, the Ghost lightweight module is adopted to reconstruct the backbone network, reducing model parameters and enhancing inference speed. Subsequently, simAM, a parameter-free attention module, is incorporated into the neck network to improve algorithm accuracy and suppress environmental interference. Finally, the NMS algorithm is improved into DioU-NMS, combining the penalty term and centroid distance to minimize the probability of miss. The experimental results indicate that, compared with the original YOLOv5s algorithm, the proposed algorithm showcases a mere 0.8% reduction in the average precision (AP) value, the model parameters are dropped by 48%, and the computational workload is decreased by 49.7%, realizing the lightweight of the algorithm. © 2024 SPIE.

With the increasing requirements for describing scene target information in image processing, multi-sensor image fusion has attracted attention and application. Due to the complementary nature of the image characteristics between visible and infrared images, image fusion between the images is possible. This article studies a visible and infrared image fusion algorithm based on NSCT (Non Sampled Contourlet Transform). Based on the original NSCT decomposition, the NSCT decomposition level is adaptively set according to the resolution size of the input source image, ensuring sufficient decomposition for high-resolution images to improve fusion quality, and appropriate decomposition for low-resolution images to reduce decomposition time. For the visible light and infrared images collected by the FLIR AX8 dual band camera, image fusion processing was carried out. Compared with the FLIR AX8 dual band camera, the average gradient index of the fusion image was increased by about 1-2, and the distortion index was reduced by about 20, making it more suitable for observation and subsequent processing. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. Remote sensing product production is an important task in the field of remote sensing engineering. Compared with the production process of remote sensing products, the implementation process of remote sensing product production is a multi-Task serial and highly concurrent process that integrates a large number of remote sensing digital image processing algorithms and various processes. Remote sensing product workflows transform complex computing tasks into processes that can be described, managed, and automated. In the workflow, algorithms are the smallest execution unit of tasks, and their execution time has a significant impact on the performance and efficiency of the entire workflow. Therefore, accurate prediction of algorithm execution time is crucial for optimizing workflow performance. This paper proposes and designs an algorithm execution time predictor for remote sensing product workflows. Firstly, feature extraction algorithms are used to extract features from algorithm execution logs, and the prediction model suitable for this scenario is determined by analyzing the characteristics of operators in remote sensing product workflows. Then, the model is trained using historical data sets, and the test set results are compared with the actual execution time to verify the accuracy and practicality of the model.
