In traditional electrical power communication processes, the denoising ability of the existing methods for identifying faulty data is inadequate, which results in a diminished identification efficiency. To address this, the present study devises a novel method for identifying faulty data in electrical power information communication processes, grounded in wavelet analysis. Leveraging the singularity characteristic of the wavelet transformation, this method conducts localized singularity detection on the power information communication process. Following the detection, it discriminates between normal and faulty data utilizing neural network algorithms. Subsequently, to eliminate noise-containing signals within the faulty data, both soft and hard threshold denoising techniques are employed. After calculating the noise intensity, the wavelet transformation coefficients within a certain scale are arranged in ascending order based on their squares, and the likelihood estimation vector is computed. The method then proceeds to remove the noise segments within the signal, guided by the minimum and maximum values in the vector. Empirical results illustrate that this approach significantly enhances the denoising capability and bolsters identification efficiency, showcasing its potential as a robust solution in improving the quality and reliability of electrical power communication processes. © 2023 IEEE.

To meet the requirements of other aircraft flight test tasks for multiple types of engines and achieve a device matching multiple engine flight test tasks, a design scheme of a multi-signal demodulation device based on FPGA is proposed. This demodulation device collects and demodulates data such as throttle lever position signal, altitude speed, and switch value. It converts and analyzes the data in series and parallel through FPGA and forwards it to various interfaces such as the EEC interface and airborne testing system. According to the interface protocol requirements, it is converted into signals of types such as RS422, ARINC429, and Ethernet. This multi-signal demodulation device has broad application prospects. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

As smart grid enables two-way flow of data and electricity with Advanced Metering Infrastructure, it is prone to security vulnerabilities. Sybil attack, one such vulnerability exhibits multiple identities of same node. As a consequence, the compromised or malicious nodes present in smart grid inject false information that would cause a serious impact in a critical infrastructure i.e. smart grid. Hence, the proposal aims to detect this attack based on node's Received signal Strength, address, energy consumption and distance using machine learning algorithm. Support vector machine outperforms other machine learning algorithms like logistic regression, K-Nearest Neighborhood, Naive Baye's, and K-Nearest Neighborhood in terms of accuracy, training time, misclassification cost, prediction speed, sensitivity or recall, specificity, F1 score, precision, and Area Under the Curve (AUC) and Receiver Operating Characteristic Curve (ROC). Further, the performance of the model is optimized using hyper parameter tuning. The proposal is implemented in MATLAB. The results exhibit 96.5% accuracy that clearly demonstrates the efficacy of the model. © 2023 IEEE.

Photograph processing is a discipline of laptop science that concentrates on manipulating digital photos and using algorithms to recognize and beautify the photo's quality. Contour coding is a powerful approach used in virtual picture processing that allows one to increase, shop, and examine virtual snapshots from a combination of strategies like aspect detection, morphological processing, and segmentation. Contour coding aims to reduce complex virtual pix to a fixed of fundamental symbolic features that may be created, stored, and manipulated without loss in quality or element. Applications of contour coding are specially used for item reputation, segmentation, spatial pattern reputation, and scientific photograph processing. This newsletter offers the theory and fundamentals of contour coding and explores its software in actual-world virtual picture processing scenarios. We speak about the significance of contour coding and present a short evaluation of existing algorithms and improvement techniques used to achieve virtual photograph processing desires. We additionally gift the advances and challenges of contour coding and how it could form the future of digital picture processing. © 2023 IEEE.

To identify the condition of steel pipelines beyond the line of sight during operation, this study presents a design methodology for a differential probe, along with a harmonic magnetic field excitation technique and its corresponding data processing methodology. The coaxial arrangement of the excitation coils in a planar configuration generates a potent induced magnetic field, ensuring a sufficient standoff distance. Under the influence of harmonic excitation, the magnetic permeability of the pipeline surface decreases, resulting in an increased detection depth. Periodic alterations in the magnetic permeability of the pipeline surface enhance the amplitude of defects. Adjusting the position of the induction coil minimizes interference from the excitation magnetic field, thereby obtaining a pure induced magnetic field. Differential processing is applied to the two induction coils to counteract interference from the background magnetic field. Finally, the effectiveness and reliability of this probe are validated through three experiments: pipeline positioning, weld seam inspection, and damage detection. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Reliable data transfer is a tedious task for various applications that involve users in motion. In vehicular communication systems, for reliable and seamless data transfer an accurate estimation strategy is needed. The principal objective involves construction of the predictive models that can estimate error probabilities on parameters like signal strengths, timestamps, and sender identification outcomes. To establish a proper strategy for vehicle scenarios while maintaining the system’s effectiveness, we present an analysis of our system with error probabilities, exploring the relationship between signal strength, neural network (NN) architectures, and error prediction accuracy. data generated is used to simulate communication messages. Furthermore, this paper boards to calculate the effectiveness of different NN architectures, including single and multi-layer perceptrons, interpreting key relations embedded in data and providing precise error probability predictions. Through a series of insights, we observed signal strength and NN impact on error predictions. Our analysis improves the complex error pattern occurrences and identifies the most suitable architecture for accurate predictions. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Review and rating is a very important movement for online purchases and also it's an overview of a company's service. The most popular online platform provides a section called reviews and ratings. In this research, a blockchain based technology has been proposed that is fully decentralized but can be implemented inside a centralized system. It has been noticed for a long time that because of the company's image, some people are using it negatively, and fake or paid reviews are very common among them. There are many flaws in conventional systems for review and rating. After finding the flaws, a totally new blockchain network is designed to overcome them. This is a consortium blockchain network that contains hybrid blockchain features. In this proposed model, complexity has been reduced, and it is going to be cost-efficient as well because this decentralized system can be used in any centralized system. © 2023 IEEE.

This study shows a novel design for a unified power quality conditioner (UPQC) to improve the power quality. The designed UPQC has two active power filters (APF) in shunt and series combinations. PWM (pulse width modulation) and hysteresis controls are the two control mechanisms used in this study. To reduce harmonics, a direct-quadrature zero (dq0) conversion is performed. In case 1, for a single-bus system, the total harmonic distortion (THD) of the source current in the system without UPQC was 22.22%. After applying the designed method, THD has been reduced significantly to 2.68%. In case 2, for multi-bus systems, the THD was 20.62% and 5.05% with and without the UPQC, respectively. Here the THD in the grid input voltage was 20.62%, whereas the output voltage was 0.80%. The IEEE 519-2014 standard for voltage and current harmonics distortion criterion for electrical system design is followed in the research. © 2023 IEEE.

To enhance living conditions and alleviate poverty, emerging nations require energy services that are dependable, accessible, safe, and efficient. This research study proposes an IoT-based smart microgrid system for rural areas with an enhanced control system for an efficient microgrid operation which may, in turn, solves multiple issues in the rural area. The proposed system is a combination of solar and wind power generators, diesel power stations, and backup storage, having the functionality of detecting the instantaneous fault of a branch with the help of the Bewlice lattice diagram and support vector machine algorithm and could be controlled remotely at any moment over the internet. Likewise, a power monitoring system would provide the authorities with technical attributes related to energy that would be utilized to give power to the rural area in an emergency through the Android Application, which can be retrieved and displayed using a cloud platform named ThingSpeak. © 2023 IEEE.
