In this paper, in order to optimize the denitrification efficiency and equipment structure of selective catalytic reduction (SCR) flue gas denitrification technology, a mathematical model of the internal flow field of SCR system was established according to the principle of fluid mechanics. The ICEM software was used to complete the grid generation, to process boundary conditions and to create the 3d models. The Simple algorithm is adopted for the coupling of speed and pressure. The flow in the reactor is turbulent flow and is simulated by standard K - e model. The main conclusions can be summarized as follows: (1) Through the construction and calculation of the flow field model of the denitration system, the optimized SCR denitration reactor model and its performance distribution characteristics were obtained. (2) In the SCR denitration reactor installed with the porosity type nozzle, the pressure distribution at the inlet changed little and was more uniform, and the nozzle of porosity type can effectively prevent ash accumulation and blockage and improve the uniformity of distribution.

Additive manufacturing constitutes an exciting avenue in the design of aerospace components, due to the archetypal capabilities of realizing complex geometries allowing for weight reduction. Although several attempts have been carried out to 3D print aerospace components, the number of parts installed on helicopter gearboxes is still limited, mainly due to their criticality. This paper unveils the design process leading to the manufacturing of two prototypical parts installed in the input module of a tilt-rotor drive system (Next generation Civil Tilt-Rotor - NGCTR - Technology Demonstrator), mainly an auxiliary lubrication tank and a pump case. Specifically, this work illustrates the design constraints which have encouraged the adoption of a pioneering manufacturing process in the domain of aeronautic components. In addition, the approach employed to match these imposed boundary conditions is discussed, alongside with the final geometries resulting from an optimization process.

In order to reduce power losses and Junction-to-case temperature (ΔT(j-c)) of RC-IGBTs, optimization of both carrier distribution in drift-layer and the diode layout is required. In this study, we propose 3rd generation 650V RC-IGBT based on CSTBT™, which achieves a significant reduction of AT(j-c) using Local Lifetime Control (LLC) with proton implantation and high density arranged diode layout. Our proposed 3rd generation RC-IGBT successfully reduces power losses by 5% and AT(j-c) by 18%. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to realize the intelligent storage management ability of epidemic prevention and relief materials, a design scheme of intelligent storage system for epidemic prevention and relief materials based on bar code recognition is proposed. The bar code of the system includes sample bar code, location bar code, warehouse bar code, etc., and the method of 'bar code graphics+inventory information+location code' is adopted to realize the time stamp of epidemic prevention and relief materials and the reorganization of the basic data structure of sample PDM. Through the methods of sample quantity management and storage location information management, the information report management of intelligent storage of epidemic prevention and relief materials is realized, the logistics scheduling algorithm design of epidemic prevention and relief materials is realized according to bar code recognition method, the geographical location information and load information of epidemic prevention and relief materials logistics vehicles are collected through the Internet of Things, and the low-cost intelligent storage management and logistics transportation of epidemic prevention and relief materials are realized by combining vehicle network and vehicle scheduling optimization strategy. The test results show that this method can effectively realize the intelligent storage management of epidemic prevention and relief materials, reduce transportation costs, and ensure the timeliness and safety of logistics goods tracking and management. © 2023 IEEE.

Training a deep learning model with a large dataset requires a large number of computations. While deploying such a system in a real-time scenario that demands rapid training, substantial computational resources may be required. Such resources might be elusive on many occasions. To address this challenge, we propose a strategy to reduce the size of the training dataset utilizing the class labels of the training data without compromising the quality of the training for downstream tasks. Our approach may reduce the demand for computational resources. The smaller version of the training dataset, known as a coreset, ensures a comprehensive representation of all the classes in the dataset. Our algorithm also handles class imbalance utilizing the class labels of the data. We evaluate the algorithm's performance for the downstream task of multi-label classification of chest x-rays. Rigorous experiments on various publicly available datasets demonstrate our ability to reduce dataset size by almost 1/3rd and address class imbalance while maintaining the classification model's performance. Grasping tasks executed by robotic arms represent a significant research avenue within the domain of robotic technology. The process of restocking in supermarkets incurs substantial human labor costs, a burden that can be alleviated through automation with the help of collaborative robots. This paper addresses the practical limitations of deep learning-based grasp pose estimation algorithms by proposing a novel pose estimation technique tailored for closed-loop planar grasping tasks. By integrating an attention module into the foundation of a grasp generation convolutional neural network, the accuracy of grasp predictions rendered by the network is enhanced. Furthermore, this paper introduces a methodology for adjusting grasp positions based on the hardness and material properties of objects. Through multi-dimensional evaluation of objects, the proposed technique refines the grasp pose further based on network predictions. Empirical evidence underscores the effectiveness of this approach for object grasping tasks within the supermarket restocking scenario. © 2024 ACM.

In this paper, we propose a video stitching method based on mesh segmentation to solve the problems of temporal and spatial artifacts caused by video shake and insufficient motion estimation at enlarged views. The proposed method constructs a unified framework for video stitching and stabilization, which aims to perform simultaneous video stitching and stabilization optimization. Firstly, the optical flow grid method was used to optimize the feature points, so that the effective feature points could also be extracted from the low texture area, and the feature points were optimized to concentrate the feature points in the overlapping area. Then, the camera motion model is estimated by local matrix homography estimation, camera path estimation, and camera path smoothing, and the cumulative error of video frames is reduced by adding motion estimation compensation, to realize the high-quality video stitching task. By designing a comparative experiment, the proposed method is qualitatively and quantitatively evaluated from three aspects: stability score, stitching score, and video stitching quality. © 2024 ACM.

In this contribution, the model uncertainties of bond formulations in prestressed concrete members are evaluated by investigating the transmission length formulations prescribed in the drafts of the forthcoming fib Model code 2020 and second-generation Eurocode 2. To this end, the predictions of the aforementioned formulations have been compared with 561 experimental transmission length measurements collected from the scientific literature. From the comparison, samples of the model uncertainties have been obtained and fitted with suitable probability distributions. Then, new probabilistic models are formulated, and probabilistic coefficients are proposed to achieve the target reliability length to be adopted in the main design situations. © Fédération internationale du Béton-international Federation for Structural Concrete.

Location awareness is crucial for emerging services and enhanced resource orchestration in next generation (xG) wireless networks. To provide efficient high-accuracy localization, xG networks require both algorithms for position inference and strategies for resource optimization. While the exploitation of soft information (SI) provides significant gains in localization performance, node activation strategies benefit resource utilization by selecting an adequate set of nodes to perform measurements. This paper develops a data-driven node activation strategy for efficient SI-based localization in xG networks. First, we formulate the node activation problem considering an SI-based position estimator. Then, we propose a data-driven node activation strategy for determining an adequate set of active nodes given only a position estimate. To validate the proposed strategy, we employ xG-Loc, a dataset for location-aware xG networks fully compliant with 3rd generation Partnership Project (3GPP) specifications. Case studies in 3GPP scenarios show the benefits of the proposed node activation strategy. © 2024 IEEE.
