HPC scientific codes are less readable and less manageable because of complex hand optimization which is often platform-dependent. We are developing a toolset that hopefully mitigates that maintainability problem by user-defined easy-to-use code transformation: The code is written in a simpler form, and coding technique for high performance is introduced by code transformations. In this paper, we present xevtgen, which is a code transformation generator of our toolset. Transformation rules are defined using dummy Fortran codes with some directives, and we expect that design makes it easier to learn for Fortran programmers. Some examples of code transformations are shown to discuss the practicality of the proposed approach.

In purpose of preserving the congenial and emergent flow in nanoscience it is the requisite stage to accomplish an eminent aspect of nano-molecular devices to attain fastest operative speed with highest dynamic accuracy. Quantum dot cellular automata prescribes the high operative speed with lower fault occurrence possibility to the nanoelectronic circuits. In this contribution one new binary to gray code converter layout has proposed which presents 29.17% area optimization in comparison to the best reported designs in this paper. The proposed design involves the multilayer concept of circuit design whereas more than one layers have undertaken to pass the signals error-freely to avoid the crossovers complications. Moreover, an elegant method for cell to cell switching time approximation has proposed theoretically which puts a major aspect on signal propagation delay and the device operating delay computation. The switching time has expressed by a sophisticated mathematical equation which enables the theoretical computation of device latency with better accuracy. All the simulations in this paper have performed with the open source software QCADesigner 2.0.3.

This paper considers the general issues in the project and the optimization of energy generation systems using small universal wind turbines, suitable in Distributed generation (DG) and computer aided optimization for a better exploitation of wind source. optimization in this field reveal to be more and more important because the local generation and consumption of electrical power, even for grid connected generators can suffers for unevenness of wind source exploitation, also in terms of wrong directions and in not regular wind flows. Computer aided design and optimization of small plants may give significant improvements in the development of the wind source also in accordance with the projections of future energy policies that foresee a significant increase of the wind generated energy for the future market. The effectiveness of computer aided optimization tools is illustrated in the present paper with the exposition of two case studies. In the first of them a Wind Electrical Energy Generating System is moved by a Modular Multiple Blade Fixed Pitch Wind Turbine coupled with an asynchronous wound rotor generator. In the second case study the optimization regards a Savonius wind turbine and a PM synchronous generator with particular reference to the development of wind source for the wind turbine and the reduction of saturation and of harmonic content in the emf for the electrical machines. © 2012 IEEE.

Raptor code, a member of the rateless fountain codes family, has been a preferred technology for the forward error correction (FEC) at the application layer. It is used by the 3(rd) generation Partnership Program (3GPP) Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service (MBMS) and Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB-H) standards for multimedia broadcast and content delivery. Currently, a next generation fountain code, called RaptorQ, is being proposed. It aims at reducing to a minimum the redundant FEC information, outperforming significantly Raptor code. The improved coding performance comes at the expense of increased encoding and decoding complexity. This paper compares the coding properties, the decoding performance and the energy efficiency of the two codes on embedded system. Furthermore, simulations are performed for a practical MBMS scenario. Finally, conclusions are drawn with respect to the applicability of the new code for realtime multimedia broadcasting and content delivery.

In last decades, interest in biped robots (specially humanoid robots) have been growing up. Stable Walking is one of the critical challenging problems in these kinds of robots and many researches have been done to achieve a walking model similar to human. Central Pattern Generator (CPG) is one of the biological gait generation models which can produce complex nonlinear oscillation as a pattern for walking. In our model we use polynomial equation for the support leg and Sinusoid Fourier series equation for the swing leg in sagittal plane for producing a single step of walk. For balancing, the same values are used for both swing and support leg with Sinusoid Fourier series equation in frontal plane. PSO is used as an evolutionary algorithm to optimize equation parameters and achieve the best speed and performance in walking.

With the increasing penetration of distributed generation (DG), active distribution network (ADN) is the development trend of future smart grid. Due to the features of uncertainties of DG, the difficulty of scheduling increases. For this concern, an optimization scheduling model of intra-layer autonomy and inter-layer coordination of ADN is proposed in this work. Aiming at intra-layer autonomy, an optimization model is establishedwith the goals of the smallest electricity purchase cost for the ADN, the most profitable purchase and sale of electricity of microgrids and the most profitable and comfortable users. Aiming at inter-layer coordination, a "distribution network-microgrid" electricity price formation method that maximizes renewable energy sharing between microgrids and a "microgrid-user" electricity price formation method that maximizes users' willingness to generate electricity are proposed. In this paper, the modified IEEE 33-bus distribution system is built as case study, which verified the great scheduling capability and performance of the proposed model.

Time Division Synchronous code Division Multiple Access (TD-SCDMA) is the time division duplex (TDD) inode in the 3rd generation mobile radio system. Typical joint detection techniques can only be used in uplink due to its high computational complexity in TD-SCDMA system. A novel joint detection designed for hardware implementation is introduced in this paper. By dividing the matrix into smaller sub-blocks, the complexity of matrix manipulation is reduced. Computer simulations of bit error rate (BER) are performed and the complexity reduction is also analyzed. The algorithm will be proved to have low complexity, which can enable chip designer to implement joint detection in a TD-SCDMA baseband receiver.

Multi-Carrier code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA) is a modulation scheme that combines the advantages of OFDM and CDMA to provide robustness against frequency selectivity in wireless channels. Arrayed MC-CDMA systems combine MC-CDMA and antenna array technology to harness the spatial and temporal 'signatures' of received signals, thus making it possible to realize high transmission rates envisioned for next generation wireless communications. Localized scattering, which occurs for each multipath, motivates the frequency selective wireless channel to be modelled as a diffused vector channel. In this paper, space-time diffused vector channels for arrayed MC-CDMA systems are modelled and analyzed. Simulation studies show that the use of this diffused channel modelling in arrayed MC-CDMA receivers yields better bit error rate (BER) performance than receivers that ignore the presence of spatial and/or temporal diffusion.
