Drones are becoming more influential and interconnected in today's world. Internet of drones (IoD) is an architecture created over an area in which drones can be controlled and accessed by users through the internet. The main problem with IoD is that users want to access real-time data (routes, locations, surveillance video, etc.) on drones within an area. Drones' authentication is one of the primary security services that should be lightweight to enable real-time access to the data submitted by legitimate drones. We propose a privacy-aware and hardware accelerated-based authentication scheme using the k-nearest neighbor (kNN) encryption algorithm. In addition, we use the hardware acceleration techniques within the Field programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) to perform the kNN encryption and user authentication as a hardware component. This allows authorized users to obtain information only from authenticated drones within the IoD environment. Our performance analysis shows that our scheme outperforms similar schemes quickly and efficiently while performing much larger computational tasks through the FPGA parallel process.

The use of the internet has made organizations and individuals vulnerable to outside attacks, making cybersecurity a global concern. Governments around the world have begun laying out plans to tackle cyber challenges. Various types of harmful assaults, such as email viruses, malware, malicious code, and other cyber threats, primarily affect information systems. Critical sectors such as water, power, healthcare, banking, food, and transportation systems increasingly rely on software that is interconnected and distributed. However, most of the time, system administrators do not know the type and level of attack when attackers hack computer systems, and they are unsure of the steps to take for protection. Therefore, our research aims to identify these types of cyber-attacks and issue warnings to administrators, prompting them to take necessary action.

The paper proposes a fast algorithm for solving the FPGA routing problem on a mixed routing graph. The main idea behind it is to introduce some algorithmic enhancements to classic Pathfinder based on replacing the total routing tree rip-up with partial rip-up. A new formula for calculating routing element costs that considers the rip-up results and reduces congestion rates in further router iterations is also presented. The operation of the algorithm was tested on the popular digital benchmarks ISCAS'85, ISCAS'89, LGSynth'89, IWLS'2005, and a number of projects from *** on an FPGA from the 5510TC028 system-on-a-chip. The stages of the layout synthesis flow preceding routing stage were carried out using the X-CAD computer-aided design system for FPGA design. The experimental results demonstrate an average routing runtime reduction of 2.8 times compared to the default X-CAD flow. No significant impact on the timing characteristics estimated with the open-source tool OpenSTA was observed.

The paper studies the dependence of the localization of the maximum tsunami wave heights off the coast of the northwest Pacific Ocean (Aleutian Islands, Kamchatka Peninsula, Kuril Islands, Sakhalin Island, and the coast of Japan) on the location of the tsunami source off the coast of Chile. The peculiarity of the work is that all the numerical experiments at the Pacific Ocean is performed on a grid with a resolution of 1 geographic minute. A platform of a personal computer with a co-processor - a specialized calculator based on a Field programmable Gates Array microchip is used. Effective calculation pipeline makes it possible to obtain the values of unknown for seven sequential values of time during one computer clock. Previously, due to high computational cost such calculations were available only when using supercomputers. The proposed approach allows researchers to quickly assess the danger of tsunami waves at their workplace without resorting to expensive and energy-intensive resources.

The point of this extend is to construct a system for keeping the vehicle secured and protecting it by the intruders’ occupation. The project’s goal is to set up a programmed velocity control for vehicles and mischance evasion framework utilizing programmable logic controller (PLC) and encoder sensor. In transmission lines, in order to ensure reliable power supply and safe operation of the system, single-phase switch reclosure is widely used in morden power systems due to its simple logic and mature technology. For long-term or permanent faults, the current flowing through the switch before and after reclosing cannot suddenly change, resulting in the generation of DC component. The amplitude or dacay time of the DC component being too large may delay the zero crossing time of the current flowing through the switch, leading to the failure of the switch tripping, and ultimately causing serious consequences and incalculable losses. The existing national standards only propose short-circuit current calculation methods that consider DC components, and do not involve the calculation and risk assessment methods for DC components generated by single-phase switch reclosure in transmission lines. This article analyzes the mechanism of the DC component generated by single-phase switch reclosure, proposes a practical engineering algorithm, and put forward a risk assessment method. The study case proves the practicality and convenience of proposed method.

This paper explores a fully actuated system approach for interval observer design with applications in fault detection. Leveraging the full-actuation property, a stabilization control law is initially implemented to cancel open-loop nonlinearities, resulting in a constant high-order linear system. Subsequently, two interval observer design approaches are introduced. Employing the parametric design method, the challenge of determining the observer gain and nonsingular transformation matrix is converted into solving the generalized Sylvester matrix equation. This method allows for the free assignment of the eigenstructure of the observer error system. Additionally, a fault detection logic is presented. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed interval observers are demonstrated through an illustrative example.

Matrix World is a decentralized open virtual world that lets users interact with immersive 3D applications simultaneously running on different blockchains. The world consists of Lands, issued as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), which permanently persist on blockchain networks such as Ethereum and Flow. Thus, Matrix Lands are tradable and transferable via blockchain networks and their owners retain complete control over the creations on their Lands. These Lands can be bound to a sandbox in the Matrix Network which has its own compute and storage resources. These resources allow landowners and creators to govern the visual appearance, inner properties, and lifecycle logic of the Land’s creations, ultimately resulting in the production of an immersive 3D application that can operate in perpetuity in the Matrix World cyberspace. In Matrix World, users can take advantage of standard 3D open-world features such as building 3D architectures, hosting virtual meetings, exhibiting digital assets (e.g., NFTs), etc., along with more advanced functionality such as creating and hosting 3D decentralized applications (DApps) using Matrix’s built-in creator services and computational resources. These DApps include 3D games and 3D marketplaces, among others. With the continuous expansion and upgrading of power grid, it is of great significance for the long-term development of power grid enterprises to predict the investment demand of fixed assets scientifically and reasonably. In this study, based on the grey relation analysis (GRA) method, combined with the Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) network in deep learning, a new prediction model of power grid fixed assets investment demand is constructed. Compared with the traditional model and advanced algorithm, the mean absolute error (MAE) and mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) are used as evaluation indicators to verify the effectiveness and accuracy of the model. It is found that the MAE and MAPE of the proposed model are 0.0013 and 0.0108, respectively, which are significantly lower than other prediction models, which proves that the proposed model has high prediction accuracy. This study optimizes the prediction model of power grid fixed assets investment demand, and brings new insights and methods to related research fields.
