In this sense, one of the primary aim is reducing raw materials consumption and emissions through the adoption of innovative materials and technologies. this implies the need for the carmakers to integrate design for Environment (DfE) principles at the early Research and Development (R&D) stage. the article presents a concreate example of integration of DfE and LCA methodology application in the R&D process of a vehicle component produced by Magneti Marelli. the study allowed drawing a balance between the advantages of a lightweight solution with respect to the standard one both from performance and environmental point of view.

A successful product provides a pleasurable and straightforward experience. this leads to an increasing importance of the human-computer interaction and user experience issues in design. Despite the wealth of methods and tools available to support the designprocess, these are frequently incomplete and difficult to use. this research contributes to fill this gap by investigating the possible synergies between two design methods, the BadIdeas method (BI) and the Interaction design Integrated Method (IDIM). BI is an early design method especially suited for the ideation phase of the designprocess. IDIM deals withdesign, evaluation, and innovation forecasting, and covers the first part of the product development process. Two limitations are highlighted in each of these methods and their concepts and tools are mutually exploited to improve the other. Suggestions for integration and improvement are presented with examples that demonstrate the benefits of this research.

Withthe continuous updating and iteration of integrated circuit manufacturingprocesses, the size of process microstructure is getting smaller and the integration degree is getting higher. As a result, issues related to circuit design layout, manufacturingprocess, packaging process, and material reliability have gradually become key influencing factors affecting the reliability level of integrated circuits themselves. How to conduct quality inspection and reliability evaluation on newly developed integrated circuits, effectively identify defects and weak links that affect device quality and application reliability, and fully verify the true reliability level of devices, has very important practical significance. this study proposes a reliability risk based integrated circuit microstructure evaluation method, which analyzes the key elements that affect device reliability in advance and establishes corresponding testing and evaluation items. through physical testing and verification of the device, the real reliability risks of the device can be identified and provide a basis for device design, process improvement, selection, and application design. this method aims to provide integrated circuit users with an effective means of quality inspection and reliability evaluation to ensure the inherent reliability of microelectronic devices.
