this paper presents the scheme WICRIC (Wavelet based Ideal Cross point Regions for lossless image compression) for lossless compression and decompression of digital images. the main idea is to use the Ideal Cross point Regions for lossless image compression (ICRIC) scheme together with wavelet transform. the base of this statement is the effect of Gray coding on cross point regions of the transformed matrix of the original image. Before Gray coding data sets of cross points are determined, they are called the ideal cross point regions (ICRs). the wavelet transform makes images more compact, thus increases the number of usable ICRs. After Gray coding these regions always contain only bits 1 or bits 0 depending on the number of each bit plane after the bit plane decomposition. the bit state in ideal cross point regions is very good at entropy coding because the probability of data bits 1/0 is 1 there. this optimization of probability like that has important effects on encoding and decoding processes of lossless image compression for data transmission. this scheme of WICRIC is developed from the traditional scheme ICRIC (Ideal Cross point Regions for lossless image compression) and the Wavelet transform, it can give high compression ratios for both medical and photometric images, and so it can be installed in medical imaging systems like digital radiology, CT, MRI,.... © 2013 IFMBE.

encryption of medical image is very important subject especially in wireless body area networks (WBAN) applications where the devices have many limitations in memory size, energy and computation capabilities. In this paper an image encryption scheme is introduced to be suitable for this limitations. the scheme consists of two phases. Firstly, the patient information (as name, age, ..etc) is hidden in the patient medical image (as x-ray, MRI, ..etc) using Least Signification Bit technique to reduce the capacity of data encrypted and make this information visually unavailable to unauthorized personnel. Secondly, the patient's medical image is encrypted using DNA coding rules and a new multi chaotic map system. DNA coding improves computational speed and provides large capacity for data transmission while the new multi chaotic map consists by merging Henon, Sin and Ten map (HST) to produces pseudo random sequences with more chaotic characteristics. Results show that this scheme has a good peak signal to noise ratio, low correlation, huge key space, key-dependent pixel value replacement and can resist statistical and differential attacks. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

As the form of information transmission has shifted from text to images in recent years, the in-crease in information dimension has led to a growing interest in secure and efficient encryption algorithms. this paper proposes a chaotic system that combines tent mapping and a time-delay chaotic neural network, and it extracts a single neuron to test the system's chaotic properties and stability. On this basis, the randomness test of the chaotic sequence generated by the system is conducted to ensure that the new chaotic system can maintain the chaotic state more effectively. In addition, genetic recombination compensates for the restriction that DNA code cannot be confounded and diffused during the encryption procedure. In this paper, chaotic sequences are applied to genetic recombination and DNA coding, and an algorithm for image encryption is proposed. the data indicate that the algorithm has excellent anti-attack capabilities. In addition, the algorithm has passed the NIST and TestU01 randomness evaluations, guaranteeing its sensitivity and randomness. therefore, the algorithm is secure and can be used to encrypt color images. © 2024 SPIE.

In the process of using the network, data security needs to be considered. image, as an important part of data, also needs to be considered. image encryption play an important role in protecting users' confidential data. this paper design a new image encryption algorithm based on chaotic sequence, zigzag scrambling, DNA coding. the experimental results indicate that this method can effectively encrypt data and ensure data security.

Multimedia data security is very important for multimedia commerce on the Internet such as video-on-demand and real-time video multicast. However, traditional cryptographic algorithms for data secrecy such as DES are not fast enough to process the vast amount of data generated by the multimedia applications to meet the real-time constraints required by the multimedia applications. How to incorporate cryptographic technology with digital image processing technology to provide multimedia security does not seem to be considered in the previous literatures. the main contribution of this paper is the idea of incorporating cryptographic techniques (random algorithms) with digital image processing techniques (image compression algorithms) to achieve compression (decompression) and encryption (decryption) in one step. One of our methods is almost as efficient as the existing video encoding and decoding process while providing considerable level of security without affecting the quality of images when decrypted. Our methods are also adjustable to provide different levels of security for different requirements of the multimedia applications. Our methods are based on the widely used JPEG and MPEG standards. We also conduct a series of experimental studies to test and evaluate our algorithms.

In this paper,we use video watermarking on H.264 video compressed,to reach protect for video data. In recent years, H.264 is a new advanced video compressed standard. It provides high compression efficiency and compress quality, Digital data is easy to be altered. One of the most important things is to prevent the data to be illegally *** propose a method is compare many corresponding AC coefficient,to embed watermark information of I Frame,and compare corresponding AC coefficient to extract watermark by majority. Additionally,results show that watermark extracting to possess high accuracy as well as the watermark information can be effective against the impact of video compression. © 2009 IEEE.

Inter-frame encoding is an integral technology in modern video codec design, used to achieve high compression efficiency by reducing temporal redundancy. An important step in inter-frame encoding is the temporal prediction loop, involving computationally expensive block-matching algorithms. When the video server is concerned with customer Quality of Service for on demand or live-streaming, the encoder is the appropriate location for most of the compression computation to enable low client decoding time. However, emerging use-cases such as Wireless Video Sensor Networks (WVSNs) and remote surveillance present new technical challenges in compression. For these scenarios, the video capture device may be power-constrained with limited resources, and it is better that the computational burden fall on resource rich decoders/transcoders available at data centres. In this paper, we present a video coding scheme with low encoding complexity that passes the computational burden to the decoder. Bit-rate reduction is achieved by removing Chroma information from specific frames and then re-colouring them at the decoder using a technique called Motion Compensated Recolouring (MCR). MCR can reduce bit-rate by as much 16% compared to Intra-only video coding, with only a slight drop in objective quality. We also demonstrate that MCR out-performs other Chroma prediction techniques at higher quality and for videos with complex motion. © 2020 IEEE.

Objective In order to solve the problem that the cloud platform occupies too much data storage space of the Internet of things in the fields of intelligent manufacturing, intelligent medical treatment and intelligent automobile, and the amount of image data is too large, this paper proposes an Internet of things image compression method based on convolutional self-coding fusion, and researches the compression method of the collected Internet of things images. Method Firstly, the collected Internet of things images were grayed to obtain grayscale images. Secondly, the improved convolutional autoencoder (GCNN) model was used to encode, binarize and decode the original color image. Finally, the image decoded by the autoencoder and the gray image were fused and enhanced by the DHSV fusion reconstruction method. Result the proposed method uses the BSDS500 dataset, in which the training set consists of 200 images, the test set consists of 200 images, and the validation set consists of 100 images. the network structure was built according to the way in Section 2.2, the learning rate was set to 0.01 and 0.1 respectively, and the training was performed 100 times with 10 iterations per epoch. Finally, Set8(8 images) is used for testing. the color image is used to evaluate the reconstruction results in visual effect, and the Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Structural Similarity Index Measure (SSIM) are used to evaluate the reconstruction results. the experimental results show that the compression ratio can reach 2.28, and the compressed space is reduced by nearly 1/2. At the same time, the fusion reconstruction image can reduce the distortion, and maintain a good level of clarity, contrast and information *** the network model and fusion reconstruction method proposed in this paper can quickly extract image features while reducing network parameters, and can fuse the high-resolution information of grayscale images to achieve good reconstruction results, w

the use of digital images is increasingly widespread currently. there is a need for security in digital photos. Cryptography is a technique that can be applied to secure data. In addition to safety, data integrity also needs to be considered to anticipate the image being manipulated. the hash function is a technique that can be used to determine data authentication. In this study, the Rail Fence Cipher and Myszkowski algorithms were used for the encryption and decryption of digital images, as the Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA-256) algorithm. Rail Fence Cipher Algorithm is a transposition algorithm that is quite simple but still vulnerable. It is combined with the Myszkowski Algorithm, which has a high level of complexity with a simple key. Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA-256) is a hash function that accepts an input limit of fewer than 2∧64 bits and produces a fixed hash value of 256 bits. the tested images vary based on image resolution and can be encrypted and decrypted well, with an average MSE value of 4171.16 and an average PSNR value of 11.96 dB. the hash value created is also unique. In this paper,. we propose an effective sequential lossless compression scheme which performs sequentially pixel by pixel in raster-scan order, also so called one-pass scheme as opposed to multiple-pass scheme. the proposed method has two major components: fuzzy neural network predictor and context based adaptive arithmetic coder. the proposed predictor which is based on T-S fuzzy neural network system effectively exploits structural redundancies between mosaic-like color components, and its residuals are well-modeled by a two-side geometry distribution centered at zero. An advantage of the proposed compression method is the clean separation between prediction and entropy coding of prediction errors. Any entropy coder, be it Huffman or arithmetic, static or adaptive, binary or m-ary, can be easily interfaced with our predictor. Consequently, we can encode mosaic images at low complexity level. Compared with existing methods of lossless compression for Bayer raw data, the performance of proposed method is apparently the best.
