the MPEG-4 video standard is nowadays more and more used for video compression, and for applications such as video editing, internet or wireless video communications. However the manipulation of video objects, which is one of the most interesting functionality of MPEG-4, makes many watermarking methods inefficient, especially methods which embed the digital signature in the full spatial domain. this paper presents a new video watermarking technique resisting to MPEG-4 video object manipulation. this so-called scrambling technique allows to adapt any classical spread spectrum watermarking scheme operating in the spatial domain to the MPEG-4 requirements concerning VO manipulation. thanks to the usage of scrambling and multi-layer embedding, an efficient algorithm for video watermarking is then proposed. Our results show that this algorithm is robust to Video Object manipulations and lossy compression.

this research paper discusses about, the Camouflaged human or object Detection using different variations of YOLOV5. Our project deep dives into the analysis of YOLO(You Only Look Once) algorithm and it's different types for performance analysis. the proposed model, trained on the dataset with different regions and angles of images, utilizes YOLOv5 for efficient camouflaged human detection, with manual annotation of images used for training the dataset and calculated different outputs for performance analysis. there can be lot of applications of the Camouflaged object detection project. Even if it is Biodiversity conservation in Nature like detecting the animals or plants which gets camouflaged in the nature and are difficult to detect or detecting enemy military invasion. this algorithm can be combined with one or more other image processing algorithms also for better accuracy and easy implementation purpose. this research work is carried out on different variants of YOLOv5 algorithm. We have used the different variants like Yolov5l, Yolov5m, Yolov5n, Yolov5x enhancing accuracy and robustness. the performance analysis is carried out in terms of P curve (Precision), R curve(recall), PR curve(precision and recall) and F1 curve of each training set and also the confusion matrix for all the algorithms is calculated and it is observed that Yolov5l works better as compared to other YOLO variants.

Video-based surveillance and security become extremely important in the new, 21 st century for human safety, counter-terrorism, traffic control etc. Visual novelty detection and tracking are key elements of such activities. the current state-of-the-art approaches often suffer from high computational, memory storage costs and from not being fully automated (they usually require a human operator in the loop). this paper introduces a new approach to the problem of novelty detection in video streams that is based on recursive, and therefore, computationally efficient density estimation by a Cauchy type of kernel (as opposed to the usually used Gaussian one). the idea of the proposed approach stems from the recently introduced evolving clustering approach, eClustering and is suitable for online and real-time applications in fully autonomous and unsupervised systems as a stand-alone novelty detector or for priming a tracking algorithm. the approach proposed in this paper has evolving property - it can gradually update the background model and the criteria to detect novelty by unsupervised online learning. the proposed approach is faster by an order of magnitude than the well known kernel density estimation (KDE) method for background subtraction, while having has adaptive characteristics, and does not need any threshold to be pre-specified. Recursive expressions similar to the proposed approach in this paper can also be applied to image segmentation and landmark recognition used for self-localization in robotics. If combined with a real-time prediction using Kalman filter or evolving Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy models a fast and fully autonomous tracking system can be realized with potential applications in surveillance and robotic systems.

the thrust toward high resolution multispectral staring array sensors for a variety of remote sensing applications has produced a need for efficient processing techniques that fully exploit the time, space and spectral correlations of the data. Over the past two decades, the techniques of signal subspace processing have been especially effective in processing 2 and 3 dimensional data. these include approaches such as TMF (Temporal Matched Filter), MUSIC (MUltiple signal Classification), Principal Components and STAP (Space Time Adaptive processing). this paper extends the basic theory and algorithms to handle 4D (spectral, temporal and two spatial dimensions). Suboptimal formulations are presented that reduce the computational requirements while still taking advantage of the critical correlations. the background estimation and target detection performance of these techniques are demonstrated using (a) high fidelity simulated scene sets corresponding to hyperspectral and multiband imaging sensors (b) measured data sets from a current multiband space sensor the paper concludes with recommended algorithm investigations and measured data set evaluations.

this paper deals with optimal training design and placement over multiple OFDM symbols for the least squares (LS) channel estimation in multiple-input multiple- output (MIMO) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. When the number of transmit antennas increases, more pilot tones are required and the transmission efficiency decreases. To solve this problem, the pilot sequences are distributed over multiple OFDM symbols. Motivated by the properties of co-cyclic Jacket matrices, we derive the optimal pilot sequences from co-cyclic Jacket matrices based on the minimum mean square error (MSE) of the LS channel estimation. Simulation results show that the derived optimal pilot sequences over one, two and four OFDM symbols have the same performance, and greatly outperform the orthogonal pilot sequences in slowly time-varying channels.

the detection of occluding contours in images of 3-D scenes is a fundamental problem of vision. the authors present a computational model of contour processing that was suggested by neurophysiological recordings from the monkey visual cortex. the model uses convolutions and nonlinear operations, but no feedback loops. Contours are defined by the local maxima of the responses of a contour operator that sums a representation of contrast borders and a grouping signal. the grouping consists of convolving a representation of key-points, such as T-junctions, corners, and line ends, with a set of orientation selective kernels, and a nonlinear pairing operation. the grouping scheme is selective based on whether the configuration of key-points is consistent with the interpretation of occlusion. the resulting contour representation includes an indicator of figure-ground direction. It is shown that the model reproduces illusory contours in accurate agreement with perception and generates representations of occluding contours on images of natural scenes that are more complete and less cluttered by spurious connections of foreground and background than those obtained by conventional edge detection operators.< >

When applying 2D deformable registration to cross-sectional images from 3D data, it is assumed the images represent the same object. However, in reality, they are acquired at different axial positions and with different coronal and sagittal rotations. therefore, if the cross-section's position and orientation can be corrected, it should offer better registration accuracy. the paper describes a "2.5D" method for correcting position and orientation of the cross-section under the in-plane-2D deformable registration. For a given source image, the algorithm estimates the optimal position and orientation of the cross-section generating target image as well as displacement field of the source image. For in-plane 2D deformable registration, a previously proposed method is being used. It models the deformations using a spring mass system, which contains a number of sparse masses interconnected by springs. the external forces calculated from the image contents are used to iteratively guide the system to the "good" matching configuration under the constraints imposed by the internal forces. the performance of the method is tested using real Radiation therapy Planning CT (RTPCT) and Cone Beam CT (CBCT) as well as the simulated data. the results indicate that the newly proposed method improves registration accuracy.

In our society, complaint systems are all done manually by humans and there are no automated system wherein the complaints are identified and sent to the respective authority all by itself. A complaint about our day to day activities based on the images can be identified and given as a report. this reduces lot of manual time and may speedup the remedial process. In this system, the users need to upload an image which will be analyzed and classified based on remedial departments. thus the amount of manual work both on the user and the organization is minimized by feasibly producing an automated system that can generate a report about the problem without human intervention during the process. Based on the institutional requirements, the complaints are classified as website-based and object-based using an image classification system. the web-related complaints are handled by optical character recognition and the object-based complaints are handled by object detection and data mining techniques. the images are trained and tested through various classification system and their performances are compared. the user is also provided with a feature of adding location along with the complaint image which makes less complication in finding the place of fault and based on which a report is generated and forwarded to corresponding department. thus, this paper aims in proposing an automated complaint generation and reporting system for Institutions by classifying user input images using image processing and data mining techniques.

One of the most challenging issues when operating a high-power light-emitting diode (LED) is to conduct appropriate packaging materials for the reliable thermal management of the entire device. Generally, the considerable amount of heat produced around the junction area of the LED would transfers to the entire device, and causes thermal expansion in the packaging material. It induces strain inevitably, and hinders the output performances and possible applications of high-power LEDs. the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) is a physical quantity that indicates the expansion to which value a material will be upon heating. therefore, as far as an advancement of thermal management is concerned, the quantitative and real-time determination of CTE of packaging materials becomes more important than ever since the demanding of high-power LEDs is increased in recent years. In this study, we measure the CTE of GaN-based (lambda = 450 nm) high-power LED encapsulated with polystyrene resin by using optical coherent tomography (OCT). the displacement change between individual junctions of OCT image is directly observed and recorded to derive the CTE values of composed components of the LED device. the obtained instant CTE of polystyrene resin is estimated to be around 10 x 10(-5)/degrees C, which is a spatial average value over the OCT scanning area of 10 mu m x 10 mu m. the OCT provides an alternative way to determine a real-time, non-destructive, and spatially resolved CTE values of the LED device, and that shows essential advantage over the typical CTE measurement techniques.

this research article focuses on enabling real-time Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) with two input control modalities designed to control a robotic arm. the robotic arm comprises of 3 Degrees of Freedom (DOF) and is controlled using the following 2 strategies: Inertial Sensor-glove and image-based visual servoing. the Mathematical model of the given 3 DOF robotic arm was derived and the two proposed methods were explicitly designed for the same. the inertial sensor-glove, worn by the user, is embedded with inertial sensors that provide data to track the motion of the user's arm. the image-based visual servoing modality is a mono-vision based approach which tracks the motion of a target object held by the user using a camera and operates similar to a mouse-pointer but in 3 dimensions. Fitts's Targeting tasks were performed to analyse the performance of these Human-Robot Interactive input modalities.
