Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) have the potential to assist medical doctors in diagnosis and treatment stage. this paper has been prepared to help dermatologists by presenting (i) fundamental information on deep learning and CNNs, and (ii) applications of CNN s for skin diseases classification. Also, this work shows that although CNN based methods have a strong potential for automated diagnosis, further researches and new techniques are still required in image processing and pattern recognition area to provide diagnosis of dermatological diseases with higher performances. In this work, these two groups of applications of CNN s in dermatology have been handled: (i) disease classification from medical images (e.g., dermoscopy and pathological images); (ii) disease classification from digital photographs. therefore, important contributions of this work are two-fold: First, main concepts of deep learning and CNNs are presented, which will be helpful for dermatologists to understand and follow up CNN based computerized methods. Second, the state-of-the-art applications developed for lesion classifications from medical images and colored photographs are presented. Also, disadvantages or limitations of these applications are explained. In addition, this paper indicates shortage of desktop applications developed for other dermatological diseases except skin cancer.

In today's world, people have to place objects of importance safely. But also, it is impossible for a human to remember the location of every object spontaneously. In this work, a system to track any object, with the help of a compact Bluetooth low energy (BLE) enabled module through voice commands, has been proposed. the tracking module has linked with a mobile application through Bluetooth, this connection enables the user to locate the objects using voice commands and a smartphone. When the object has been located, the piezoelectric buzzer at the objects end produces a buzzing sound, thereby notifying the user of its location. Using this system, it is also possible to track multiple objects in an environment. Hence, this work aims to provide a simpler way to track and manage objects in a given environment by the creation of a target Bluetooth module and an android mobile application.

Natural language processing (NLP) finds enormous applications in autonomous communication, while lemmatization is an essential preprocessing technique for simplification of a word to its origin-word in NLP. However, there is scarcity of effective algorithms in Bangla NLP. this leads us to develop a useful Bangla language lemmatization tool. Usually, some rule base stemming processes play the vital role of lemmatization in Bangla language processing as there is lack of Bangla lemmatization tool. In this paper, we propose a Bangla lemmatization framework using three effective lemmatization techniques based on data structures and dynamic programming. We have used Trie algorithm and developed a mapping algorithm named “Dictionary Based Search by Removing Affix (DBSRA)” based on data structure. We have applied both Trie and DBSRA lemmatization and selected the better one by considering the Levenshtein distance between the lemma and the original word. Eventually, we have experimented with Bangla language lemmatization among all three techniques and the framework. Among the three proposed techniques, the DBSRA performed better compared to others with an accuracy of 93.1 percent. the framework, developed by fusing three algorithms, came out with the highest efficiency of 95.89 percent. Contribution-this paper presents the development of three lemmatization algorithms and their fusion to develop a framework for Bangla Natural Language processing.

In recent days, Artificial Neural Network (ANN) can be applied to a vast majority of fields including business, medicine, engineering, etc. the most popular areas where ANN is employed nowadays are pattern and sequence recognition, novelty detection, character recognition, regression analysis, speech recognition, image compression, stock market prediction, Electronic nose, security, loan applications, data processing, robotics, and control. the benefits associated with its broad applications leads to increasing popularity of ANN in the era of 21st Century. ANN confers many benefits such as organic learning, nonlinear data processing, fault tolerance, and self-repairing compared to other conventional approaches. the primary objective of this paper is to analyze the influence of the hidden layers of a neural network over the overall performance of the network. To demonstrate this influence, we applied neural network with different layers on the MNIST dataset. Also, another goal is to observe the variations of accuracies of ANN for different numbers of hidden layers and epochs and to compare and contrast among them. © 2018 IEEE.

this paper presents the implementation of a two-dimensional (2-D) finite-impulse-response (FIR) trapezoidal filter based beamforming array receiver. A 2.4 GHz 16-element receive-mode IQ array is designed and used for physically measuring the beam patterns corresponding to 2-D FIR trapezoidal filters. the 16-element beamformer is implemented using the reconfigurable open architecture computing hardware version-2 (ROACH-2) field programmable gate array (FPGA) platform to perform analog to digital conversion and digital signal processing. the 2-D FIR trapezoidal filter is designed as a 16-spatial input 32-tap filter and is implemented targeting the ROACH-2's Xilinx Virtex 6 (sx475t) FPGA chip as a filter-and-sum architecture. the receiver array is precisely rotated (keeping the transmitter fixed) to digitally measure the received energy by integrating the instantaneous power of the output of the 2-D FIR trapezoidal filter for each angle of reception. the main lobe of the measured beam pattern is well aligned with the simulated beam pattern, and the highest measured side-lobe level is -17.8 dB.
