Heel pain and plantar fasciitis are conjoint musculoskeletal conditions that cause distress in daily activities. It makes people uncomfortable and may cause distress. A one-line treatment available for such distress conditions is a customized heel pad. It is subjected to repetitive loading and plays an imperative part in absorbing shocks that may cause injuries. Another pharma-based solution available is the application of ointment on the heel. there are a number of ointments for massaging the heel, prescribed by physicians for the reduction of heel pain. the delinquent is using either of the treatment alone will reduce the pain but it is considered as a slow treatment. the central idea is based on combing both solutions together on one platform for the profligate way out of heel pain. A microcontroller-based smart heal pad with a built-in ointment discharge system. the heel sole is placed on the therapeutic platform. the therapeutic platform releases the ointment in the sole according to the desire of the user. there is a reservoir that automatically releases the ointment based on feedback provided by the user. the control ointment release from the reservoir is controlled by a motor. the therapeutic platform encompasses the massaging ball under the heel sole. Subsequently, when the massaging treatment has been done, the sole that contains orthoses can be disengaged from the massaging platform and can be positioned in the shoe of the user. the use of orthoses along with ointment will be proved as a fast-pain-relieving contrivance for the patient. It can save the person from physical therapy. this will prove as a user-friendly treatment for the effective relief of heel pain. © 2023 ieee.

the navigation control of unmanned surface vessel (USV) is an important part of the autonomous capability of USV. In view of the urgent problems to be solved in the evaluation of the navigation control capability of USV, a navigation control metrics evaluation system is proposed based on the standard specification. Starting from the objectivity, combined with the fuzzy clustering and rough set theory, the quantitative evaluation method of the metrics system is given, which improves the scientific and standardized level of the evaluation, the quantitative analysis basis and technical improvement direction are given for the development of autonomous capability of USV. © 2022 ieee.

Recent advancement in research fields involving computer science and Artificial Intelligence has influence the rapid growth in smart wheelchair research. Another factor adding to this growth is the evolution of sensor and computing technology. Basically, a smart wheelchair is a powered wheelchair that has been modified by adding necessary sensors and instruments that able to read, collect and send information that can be used to modify the status of the wheelchair, as well as interacting with the environment or the user. the modification can be done on various part of the wheelchair system, and can be categorized with their input methods, operating system or their navigation system itself. this paper discussing on various input methods used in recent smart wheelchair research and summarizes the ideas presented. © 2022 ieee.

the mobile network evolution of this century faces an unprecedented challenge upon the advent of 5G (fifth-generation) networks and beyond to cater to different demands on automation and digitization. Indeed, one expects that these networks will have to support a very heterogeneous set of services and devices with peculiar demands in terms of speed, reliability and latency. It is required to solve these issues with advanced technologies in radio transmission, resource allocation, and network creation, which in turn raises the complexity and heterogeneity of the network infrastructure. One promising approach is to integrate automation and digitization based on artificial intelligence technologies. In particular, AI has shown great potential in solving various network-related problems such as predicting channel conditions, optimizing resource allocations, autonomously managing networks, and enhancing security. However, the current efforts to integrate AI into wireless networks often result in using specific AI algorithms to solve specific problems, since there is a lack of an integral framework to fully exploit the capability of AI for various network missions. this work builds upon the concept of intelligence slicing and proposes an absolutely new way of slicing the intelligence module to cater to the solution of different network problems in an automated and digitized way. Different AI algorithms can, therefore, be applied to the best extent required by the context in a way that provides flexibility and scalability in network management and optimization. By means of intelligence slicing, the network operator is going to utilize AI functions to achieve performance, reliability, and security in 5G mobile networks and beyond. Two representative examples are introduced to illustrate the effectiveness of intelligence slicing: the neural network-dependent medium prediction mechanism and anomaly ascertainment from the perspective of industrial network security. the concept

Manipulating qubits and measuring quantum processors via quantum bit control systems is traditionally done using expensive, off-the-shelf commercial electronics setups. Previously, we have introduced QubiC, an open-source FPGA-based quantum bit control system developed at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. After a few years of operating on the QubiC 1.0, we realized the urgent requirements on the mid-circuits measurement and feed forward to implement advanced quantum algorithms. this requirement led to engineering a novel QubiC 2.0 on top of the RFSoC technique, incorporating enriched features. the QubiC 2.0. presented in this manuscript is implemented on the Xilinx evaluation board ZCU216. We developed a portable FPGA gateware with a lean soft processor to handle the quantum commands on the fly. Further, we created a distributed architecture with multiple processors, with a one-to-one mapping between processors and qubits, creating a parallel qubit control and measurement. Like a regular CPU, these processors access pulse envelope commands with parameterized amplitude, phase, and frequency to generate pulse information on the FPGA to ensure the speed and reusability of the entire quantum circuit. the Python software layer abstracts the low-level gateware and provides the compiler, assembler, and remote procedure call for host-to-board communication. the compiled software runs on a Python runtime environment, interfacing with the low-level gateware and hardware connected to a Quantum Processing Unit, creating a full-stack quantum bit control system. We demonstrate the architecture and the broad capabilities of QubiC 2.0 with a simplified feed forward experiment on a conditional circuit. © 2023 ieee.

In industrial production, if the hook mass is too large to be neglected, the crane will show the characteristics of a double-swing system, i.e. the hook swings around the dolly for the first level, while the load swings around the hook for the second level. In order to solve the control problem of this kind of underactuated nonlinear system, the improved Takagi-Sugeno neural network fuzzy control model is adopted, and the grouping fuzzy control method is used to avoid the timeliness problem caused by the redundant fuzzy rules of multi input system. Because fuzzy control does not have the ability of self-adaptive and iterative optimization parameters, the neural network model is introduced. the parameters of the controller can approach the system requirements. Finally, the simulation and experiment results show that the control strategy can not only make the trolley and load reach the target position quickly and accurately, but also restrain the swing of the hook and load. © 2022 ieee.

Floating garbage is a usual form of water pollution and is typical in urban areas where the human population is high. To clean up floating garbage, Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) can be implemented as an automated trash collector. the usage of automated USV in river cleaning of floating garbage is more cost-efficient than manual efforts. In this paper, a lightweight USV that is capable of autonomously collecting floating garbage on surfaces of still water bodies is developed. To governs its maneuver, the USV required a control system that precise and dependable, but it should not require a complex sensors system and high computing power. To address the issue, the control system is developed based on Fuzzy logic. During the test, the developed Fuzzy logic control (FLC) system is acceptable in controlling the USV with ±4° overshoot with ±2° of error. the test is conducted with and without load. the maximum load is set as 13 kg © 2022 ieee.

To secure a serverless system, an approach using Distributed Information Flow control is proposed to be constructed. For a system to be secure at the programming level, it is imperative that confidentiality and integrity are enforced. While confidentiality is described as the virtue of a system to protect its sensitive data from being disclosed to unauthorized parties, whereas integrity can be explained as the ability of a system to prevent an information from being manipulated or modified by unauthorized parties. All the essential ideas are elaborated in this section as follows: 1.1 introduces Serverless computing, whereas 1.2 talks about the information flow control model. Furthermore, 1.3 describes the phenomena of non-interference in security, and 1.4 describes two types of information flow control enforcements, Termination Insensitive Non-Interference (TINI), and Termination Sensitive Non-Interference (TSNI) where TSNI is described formally. Finally, 1.5 discusses the existing approaches that employ IFC to secure serverless systems. © 2022 ieee

In this paper, the formation control problem of unmanned surface vessels (USVs) is investigated. Compared with the generalship formation, the formation control system needs better flexibility, stability and low latency because of faster speed and smaller size for USVs. A strategy based on leader-follower control is proposed to solve this problem. By utilizing the feedback linear controller to control the formation speed, the performance constraints of the sensor and the influence of external environmental interference factors are considered. At the same time, the Lyapunov function is used to prove the stability of this model. Furthermore, a communication strategy with the ad-hoc network is introduced to investigate the delay performance. Besides, a message packet with a specific frame structure is designed to realize the real-time communication of USVs in the formation. the simulation results demonstrate that the proposed formation control strategy is effective and efficient. © 2022 ieee.

In the present work, an IoT-based real-time energy monitoring & controlling system of electric appliances is discussed. It aims to provide a low-cost IoT device capable of monitoring and controlling the energy consumption of a wide range of electric appliances. the proposed design is comprised of an inexpensive current and voltage sensor and ESP-32 mini microcontroller for acquiring data from sensor nodes and uploading it to the server over the internet. the outcome of the experiment showed that the developed IoT-enabled system has the potential to capture the voltage, current, and apparent power and compute the overall energy consumed by the electric appliances.. © 2022 ieee.
