With the population of networking infrastructure in home area, we can realize Smart Home nowadays. Automation, zero-configuration and easy to use are the major requirements of Smart Home. In this paper, we propose a design of an integrated framework to realize Ubiquitous Smart home control. In our proposed architecture, home users indicate home device, for example, DVD player etc., in the real-time video from home camera. the control panel of the indicated device will be delivered to user devices and home user can control the device by the on-demand control panel. the main contribution of our work is to make Smart Home control easily. Home user can ignore the device allocation of Smart Home and follow on the strategy " what you seen what you can use". © 2011 ieee.

Based on the hydrostatic and hydraulic auxiliary braking system of tracked vehicle, the hydraulic pump/motor efficiency model according to the performance analysis was set up, and the optimal working line in which the hydraulic pump/motor working at the highest efficiency level was obtained. And an energy regenerative braking control strategy was proposed which can lead to the optimal matching of hydraulic coupler, hydraulic pump/motor. the computing results show that the hydraulic pump/motor can achieve efficient operation, and the energy regeneration efficiency of braking was improved obviously with the regenerative braking control strategy under the safe braking condition. © 2011 ieee.

Cloud computing is an emerging technology that is expected to support Internet scale critical applications which could be essential to the healthcare sector. Its scalability, resilience, adaptability, connectivity, cost reduction, and high performance features have high potential to lift the efficiency and quality of healthcare. However, it is also important to understand specific risks related to security and privacy that this technology brings. this paper focuses on a home healthcare system based on cloud computing. It introduces several use cases and draws an architecture based on the cloud. A comprehensive methodology is used to integrate security and privacy engineering process into the software development lifecycle. In particular, security and privacy challenges are identified in the proposed cloud-based home healthcare system. Moreover, a functional infrastructure plan is provided to demonstrate the integration between the proposed application architecture with the cloud infrastructure. Finally, the paper discusses several mitigation techniques putting the focus on patient-centric control and policy enforcement via cryptographic technologies, and consequently on digital rights management and attribute based encryption technologies.

Dynamic reconfiguration is becoming an important requirement of current software systems as they have a trend towards running continuously and updating frequently. the main purpose is to reduce the update cost caused by system shutdown or restart. controlling the influence of dynamic reconfiguration on system performance is an essential yet difficult issue. Many factors have to be considered and various methods could be chosen to use, including underlying component model, state transfer, connector type, reconfiguration algorithm and reconfiguration execution. these issues are analyzed in this paper and special attention is focused on how these design decisions affect the influence of dynamic reconfiguration on system performance. A DSE system is used as a case to analyze the design choices for dynamic reconfiguration through out this paper. A comparison of the influences resulted from different design choices is made through recording the influence parameters of the system in reconfiguration under different design choices.

Considering that main steam pressure of combustion system is a big-lagged, big-inertial and nonlinear object, the furnace radiation signals can rapidly reflect changes in combustion rate. A new controller based on the H ∞ mixed sensitivity is applied as outer loop. By choosing proper weighting function, the MATLAB robust toolbox is used to obtain the H∞ optimal controller. Simulation result shows the project is effective to control nonlinear and big-lagged system. © 2010 ieee.

the disassembly of products is a key process in the treatment of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. When performed efficiently, it enables the maximization of resources re-usage and a minimization of pollution. However, currently employed automation solutions are mainly custom-oriented and not quite suited to cope with the dynamic nature of the disassembly environment resulting from the wide variety of products to be disassembled as well as their general shape at their disposal (e.g., scratches and fractions). To overcome these limitations we present an ontology-based automated disassembly system that integrates distributed multi-agent based machine control as well as vision-based real-time path planning and robot automation. On the one side, the usage of ontologies in combination with intelligent agents provides the system with agility and the ability to autonomously perform soft- and hardware modifications in order to perform a particular activity (e.g., by selecting a specific tool). On the other side, the flexible semantic coupling of the ontology with the vision system supports the "understanding" of the captured image and enables an automated and robust realization of the individual disassembly operations as well as their coordination.

In order to improve the accuracy of electro-optical tracking system, a novel feedforward-IMC controller based on Internal Model control has been designed and made the simulation on the system. the simulation result showed that the feedforward-IMC controller can meet the need of high accuracy of electro-optical tracking system and it also have good feasibility and robustness. It has the better tracking performance in comparison with other high accuracy controller. It is able to converge efficiently and tracking accuracy can be increased several times. © 2010 ieee.

Recently, the development of "haptic recording" is demanded, and a motion-copying system is one of good methods for realization haptic recording. the haptic recording is the technology for saving and reproducing human motion based on haptic information which is constructed by position and force information. One of the problems of the motion-copying system is that the saved human motion is reproduced in the only case when the environmental location of acquisition step and reproduction step is completely same. In this paper, the method which considers the case when the environmental location is different is proposed. If environmental location is change, there is the error between the coordinate of the position control and it of the force control. In the proposed method, the coordinate of position controller is modified by the force error between the acquisition and reproduction steps. the availability of the proposed method is shown by experiments. By the proposed method, the motion-copying system is more useful for preservation and reproduction of human motions.

this work covers the latest application oriented aspects of flexible and reconfigurable intelligent manufacturing control. In recent years, manufacturing enterprises and industrial plants must be aware of the changing custom environment and be capable to adapt and understand to customers needs. Latest technologies and research in intelligent manufacturing systems emphasize the interaction, collaboration and knowledge processing, and many applications based on multi-agent systems technologies are dealing with knowledge acquisition, manipulation and reuse. this paper shows how procedural and declarative knowledge can be utilized and processed in agent-based manufacturing control systems to enable better flexibility and adaptability to customer changes. the explicit description of domain of interest, e. g. production planning, will provide a more efficient way for agents to represent and exchange the knowledge, to do automated pattern matching and reasoning, etc. We are focusing on semantic enrichment of agents and their planning capabilities within selected packing production line scenario.

A five-bar linkage mechanism with two active and three passive (end-effector rotations) degrees-of-freedom was designed as a haptic device and integrated inside a developed application in Matlab/Simulink using Handshake proSENSE toolbox for the haptic and graphic rendering, as well as the control loop and the external communication, achieving a real-time system for virtual reality based rehabilitation. the five-bar mechanism was developed in order to cover the reachable workspace of a human finger, and having a high manipulability in its workspace and low inertia. It can generate forces up to 20 [N] at the end-effector, which is suitable for finger and hand exercise rehabilitation. the system was evaluated and tested successfully. A hand rehabilitation case study and their results are presented. these results are demonstrative on the feasibility of the proposed design and application.
