In this paper, we proposed a joint design scheme between sphere decoding and user scheduling for multiuser MIMO uplink system. this is a cross layer design scheme which adopt the channel quality information based on user scheduling to reduced the search radius of sphere detector, it leads the better bit error ratio performance and low complexity than conventional sphere detection with fixed search radius.

A new method for modeling and analysis of networked control systems with time delay using hidden Markov models is presented. the optimal estimator of system state for networked control systems without full state information is given when the networked induced time delay is governed by an underlying Markov chain. the design of stochastic optimal controllers of networked control systems with output feedback is also presented. the result of simulation verified the efficiency and correction of the proposed methods.

In this paper, we develop a modified relay selection technique in opportunistic relay communications. In this approaches, we use a threshold level between source and intermediate (M) relay nodes. then our proposed scheme can decreases the contending relay's collision probability. We compare the performance depending on different threshold level by using Monte Carlo computer simulation. through this process, we verify the collision probability performance's analysis.

Based on the finite automata theory, a thinking of distributed deadlock supervisor is proposed to avoid deadlock in Knowledgeable Manufacturing systems, which is insensitive to system size and improves the efficiency of automata modeling and operating. the conception of the auto-correlation operation is presented, then the corresponding distributed deadlock supervisors are constructed, and thus the deadlock-free strategy of the knowledgeable manufacturing cell is obtained, which can be used to monitor status of the knowledge manufacturing cell in real-time and guarantees safe running of the system. Finally, a case study is presented to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

WiMAX security has two goals, one is to provide privacy across the wireless network and the other is to provide access control to the network. the security sublayer of ieee 802.16 employs an authenticated client/server key management protocol in which the BS, the server, controls the distribution of keying material to the client SS. this paper analyzes the physical layer threat and MAC layer threat of WiMAX, then lists the security requirements of a WiMAX system. Furthermore, we propose the security architecture of WiMAX. In conclusion, we introduce RSA, EAP and HMAC authentication scheme in detail.

Emerging high-density WLANs in urban areas and enterprises offer great potential to accommodate the anticipated explosion of demand for wireless data services. To make it successful, it is critical that the network utilizes the limited radio resources efficiently while satisfying predefined quality of service (QoS) requirements. In this paper, we develop a real time and open ended algorithm for joint design of dynamic channel allocation and distributed power control. We show that in the case of optimal channel allocation, the convergence property for power control is further strengthened. the simulation results show that the joint design can lead to substantial throughput improvement and power saving compared with the benchmark scheme, where channels are randomly allocated and transmit power is kept fixed.

Congestion is a natural phenomenon in any network queuing system, and is unavoidable if the queuing system is operated near capacity. In this paper, we study how to set rules of a satellite queuing system so that all the users have self-interest in controlling congestion when it happens. Most of the mechanisms proposed to accomplish this in terrestrial Internet involve complicated packet scheduling algorithms. these algorithms may not be implemented in satellite router due to satellite hardware constraints or performance differences;thus, finding more easily implemental variants of such algorithms may be of significant practical value. After investigating characteristics of satellite traffic traces, we propose PA (Penalize heavy volume unresponsive flows and Avoid unnecessary bandwidth waste) to allocate bandwidth fairly and eliminate unnecessary bandwidth waste. PA is a simple packet dropping scheme and discriminates against the flows which submit more packets/sec than is allowed by their fair share. Game-theoretic analysis shows that PA could impose Nash equilibrium on selfish agents. Simulation results suggest that the design provides a good tradeoff between efficiency and fairness in a wide variety of operating conditions.

Recently, multi-hop networks have obtained a growing interest in the applications in which the network needs to be deployed rapidly. In order to achieve high capacity packet transmission in wireless multi-hop networks, many medium access control (MAC) schemes have been proposed to maximize the system throughput. Besides, energy efficiency is a critical issue since the battery power of the mobile terminals is limited in mobile multi-hop networks. In this paper, we introduce a new scheduling channel accessing control method for mobile multihop networks. In the method, the TDMA frame is divided into N time slots, and each node is assigned one transmission slot different from those of the other nodes in each frame. It allows a node utilize the slots pre-assigned to the other nodes dynamically with a range of values for accessing probability. And at the same time, transmitter-based code is assigned to the nodes for communications between them. We evaluate the performances of our proposed MAC method with the other scheduling schemes propose by Chalmtac, Ju and Oikonomou in view of system throughput. Numerical simulation results show that the method gives better throughput performance. Also, we analyze how the changing average degree in the network and accessing probability affect the energy consumption.

the cost-effectiveness of WiFi makes it much attractive for large residential area coverage that is potentially competitive to DSL. Existing WiFi chipsets often implement ieee 802.11e CSMA/CA enhanced distributed channel access (EDCA) function only, because the point coordination function is seldom required in typical applications. To build a controllable and bandwidth-efficient WiFi DSL, it not only means extending communication range by enlarging RF power or using directional antenna, but also needs a protocol enhancement at the MAC layer. In this work, we propose a Pseudo-TDMA (pTDMA) controlled access protocol over EDCA function, which was applied in our village area WiFi network testbed. It can be implemented by adding a software enhancement into the commercial off-the-shelf chipsets. In addition to the stability and controllability inherent to TDMA, simulation results reveal that the proposed protocol has an obvious saturation throughput improvement over existing ieee 802.11e EDCA function when the packet size is big enough.

Being an evolution of ieee 802.16e, ieee 802.16J mobile multi-hop relay (MMR) is proposed to gain coverage extension and throughput enhancement. the new network architecture imposes a demanding performance requirement on relay stations (RS), and these RSs involve great signaling overhead and latency compares with non-RS network. this article proposes a new method that manages service flows in 802.16J relay-based cell, to reduce service flow management signaling overhead and latency with little modification to the 802.16J draft standard. In the proposed scheme, we extended the "SF tunnel" which defined in the draft with an extra resource reservation (ERR). With these ERRs, every RS can admit its subordinate flow's QoS parameters depend on the available resource in tunnel without signal notification to multi-relay base station (MR-BS). the size of each ERRs can periodically update to satisfy the demand of the flows in each node. In our proposed method, some resources may be wasted due to ERR in tunnel, but the reduction of signaling overhead and latency would be more significant, especially in multi-hop RS-based network. Little modification to the draft also is the advantage of our scheme.
