Although e-Commerce systems have progressed over the past few years, they lack important aspects such as building long-term and profitable relationships with customers and facilitating an environment that encourages buyers to buy more. the actual execution of e-Commerce today is too different from its real-life counterpart, and for the most part it's a "Web page" with listing of items and prices. Providing an e-Commerce system that brings on-line shopping closer to the actual experience that people have in a real life environment would bring the system closer to the concept of 'e-communities'. In privacy-preserved communities, the system adheres to basic user protection and privacy principles along existing legal norms. this paper presents a Kerberos-based protocol for controlling and accessing privacy-preserved information from networked applications. Our approach is novel in that it incorporates a number of legal privacy requirements into the technical design of the system itself To our knowledge this work is the only e-Commerce e-community based solution built specifically to meet the requirements of privacy legislation, and designed to be controlled by a third commonly trusted application.

Modular exponentiation is an essential operations for various applications, such as cryptography. the performance of this operations has a tremendous impact on the efficiency of the whole application. therefore, many researchers devoted special interest to providing smart methods and efficient implementation for modular exponentaition. One these methods is the sliding-window method, which pre-processes the exponent into zero and non-zero partitions so that the number of modular multiplications required to compute the modular power is reduced. In this paper, we devise a novel harwdare for computing modular exponentiation using the sliding-window method. the implementation is efficient when compared against existing hardware implementations of the modular exponentiation. © 2007 ieee.

the widespread adoption of mobile electronic devices and the advent of wearable computing has encouraged the development of compact alternatives to the keyboard and mouse. these include one-handed keyboards, digitizing tablets, and glove-based devices. this paper describes a combination pointer position and non-chorded keystroke input device that relies on miniature. wrist-worn wireless video cameras that track finger position. A Hidden Markov Model is used to correlate finger movements to keystrokes during a brief training phase, after which the user can type in the air or above a flat surface as if typing on a standard keyboard. Language statistics are used to help disambiguate keystrokes, allowing the assignment of multiple unique keys to each finger and obviating chorded input. In addition, the system can be trained to recognize certain finger positions for switching between input modes;for example, from typing mode to pointer movement mode. In the latter mode of operation, the position of the mouse pointer is controlled by hand movement. the camera motion is estimated by tracking environmental features and is used to control pointer position. this allows fast switching between keystroke mode and pointer control mode.

A small scale distributed computing system that is able to meet the needs of parallel intelligent techniques for engineering and science applications is reported. the system is a cluster of powerful yet low cost general-purpose PCs interconnected in a network. While, most applications written for cluster systems are programmed in MPI-C, results from the proposed system have shown that it is advantageous to use Java due to its simplicity, distribution enabling, and mobility. these results suggest there are advantages in considering a Java-enhanced cluster platform for many engineering and science applications.

the level of the serviceability of material handling systems can be measured by the effectiveness of completing each service request in terms of time and cost, and the speed of auto-recovery from any unexpected disturbance to the process of completing a service. In this paper, computational intelligence approaches based on ant colony system and genetic algorithm are investigated to perform auto-recovery for the supervisory control of a complex automated material handling facility (AMHF) in a dynamic environment. In addition, Dijkstra's algorithm, is also introduced to evaluate the proposed computational intelligence approaches with positive results. the strengths and weaknesses of each algorithm are analyzed to determine the suitable applications of each algorithm. A single data representation of the actual AMHF database provided the comparison basis for evaluation of proposed approaches. the test results demonstrated the viability of using computational intelligence approaches to achieve optimal solutions within an acceptable computing time, and therefore can be successfully applied to improve the serviceability of AMHF.

Progress in the field of humanoid robotics and the need to find simpler ways to program such robots has prompted research into computational models for robotic learning from human demonstration. To further investigate biologically inspired human-like robotic movement and imitation, we have constructed a framework based on three key features of human movement and planning: optimality, modularity and learning. In this paper we describe a computational motor system, based on the minimum variance model of human movement, that uses optimality principles to produce human-like movement in a robot arm. Within this motor system different movements are represented in a modular structure. When the system observes a demonstrated movement, the motor system uses these modules to produce motor commands which are used to update an internal state representation. this is used so that the system can recognize known movements and move the robot arm accordingly, or extract key features from the demonstrated movement and use them to learn a new module. the active involvement of the motor system in the recognition and learning of observed movements has its theoretical basis in the direct matching hypothesis and the use of a model for human-like movement allows the system to learn from human demonstration.

the soft computing has been applying to a wide variety of control systems in industry because of their control capability and flexibility. they are powerful to handle the complicated mechanical systems with various nonlinear which are difficult to be modeled as mathematical formulas. this paper presents a novel autonomous algorithm for the identification of unknown structured mechanical systems using Genetic Algorithms (GA), where the optimal order of a system and the optimal set of coefficient polynomial can be determined by the optimization ability of GA.

In order to improve the performance of digital protective relay, a data acquisition and processing system based on FPGA is designed in VHDL and implemented in this paper. they are foul parts in system: ADC control, 32-point FFT module, frequency counter and power meter. It cans control ADC and multiplexer to sample and convert 16-channel voltage and current signal of power system, process the discrete data with FFT algorithms in real time, measure the system frequency and power. So it can supply the processed data for protective relays and measurement All parts can be implemented in an Altera ACEX EP1k100. Using this system, the protective relays will achieve the good characteristic: high reliability and performance, multi-function, small size and cheap cost.
