With the continuous advancement of Internet technology and industrial digitalization, many new technologies have been applied to industrial control networks. the level of intelligence and automation of industrial control networks is constantly improving, but it also brings more risks and challenges to the security of industrial control networks. Industrial control networks are highly coupled with information systems, and suffering from network attacks will lead to huge impacts and losses. Risk assessment, as a proactive means to discover potential risks in the system, has therefore attracted much attention. However, the current risk assessment of industrial control networks is mostly carried out manually, which is inefficient and relies on expert experience. And a large number of security tools are used in the assessment process, which lack integration and are highly specialized. To address these issues, we propose an assessment orchestration method that uses a knowledge map of narrow network security to integrate security tools. the security tools are then formed into an orchestration architecture as atomic services. the workflow engine and orchestration engine are used to integrate typical playbook scenarios, and finally the playbook scenarios are aggregated to form a risk assessment scenario. the risk assessment report is obtained by running and circulating the scenario. © 2024 ieee.

the braking system of a train is not exactly similar to that of other vehicles. this is because of the uneven distribution of mass and.,hence., the different requirement of braking force along the train. In this project we investigate the different braking systems of trains and their integration with advanced controls. We then propose a closed loop system that takes into account the behavior of the driver and the dynamics of the train in order to provide an effective braking mechanism. A controller is designed for an assumed model of a train which shows only 5% error in the achieved speed after braking. the controller stabilizes the braking force in accordance with the driver's input which leads to a more efficient braking process. We propose a control system that takes multiple inputs from the train components and uses them to analyze and process a calculated braking output which stops the train within the required distance while keeping a stable deceleration. Such an approach eases the driving conditions for the driver and also maximizes the efficiency of the braking process of train. © 2023 ieee.

Compared with traditional recurrent neural networks, the training cost of echo-state network computing is lower because the neurons in the reservoir are randomly connected. We only need to train the weight of the connection between the reservoir and the output layer. Due to its high accuracy and low training cost for time series forecasting tasks, it is widely used as a time series forecasting model in many fields. It is very important to provide rich reservoir state for echo state network system, which is the key to hardware implementation. In this paper, we propose a cyclic echo state network (DC-ESN) based on dynamic memristors, which generates rich reservoir states through cyclic structure, and can predict complex time series well even with a single memristor. Compared with the traditional echo state network, the size of the reservoir is reduced and the prediction accuracy is greatly improved. Our work can provide an idea for more efficient memristor based echo state network systems in the future to cope with complex time series prediction tasks. © 2024 ieee.

With the increasing adoption of cloud computing, data owners often outsource IoT-generated data to cloud servers, especially in multi-user scenarios where scalability is crucial. However, semi-trusted cloud servers may infer sensitive information from these data transfers, and collusion between malicious users and cloud servers could lead to unauthorized access to other users’ data, raising significant privacy concerns. Without ensuring data isolation and enforcing effective permissions management, multi-user environments face risks of data leakage and unauthorized access. To address these challenges, robust access control mechanisms are essential. While traditional methods, such as Role-Based Access control (RBAC) and Access control Lists (ACL), are straightforward to implement, they lack scalability and flexibility, making them unsuitable for dynamic, multi-user scenarios. In contrast, Attribute-Based Access control (ABAC) provides flexible and fine-grained access management, well-suited to such environments. We propose a Fine-Grained Access control (FGAC) system based on ABAC to ensure efficient and adaptable access management in multi-user cloud environments, incorporating attribute-based encryption to enhance data security in untrusted cloud infrastructures. ©2024 ieee.

Due to the majority population of the earth is now connected online, our healthcare technology needs to keep on track with it. But the things that keep blocking our way to achieving better healthcare technology are connectivity, speed, and continuous monitoring from the doctors. the objective of this study is to develop a system for continuously recording and monitoring patient health parameters. the concerned doctor and the medical assistant can receive the information via the Internet. the patient's heart rate and movement are measured in this paper. ECG, 3D-Accelerometer, and GPS sensors are employed. the information can be uploaded to the cloud for additional review and recording. Another option is to implement a system that notifies the physician or medical assistant. To facilitate remote health monitoring via the Internet, remote health monitoring systems could be developed to gather data that can be analyzed by doctors who are in charge of monitoring the patient in case of a fall/collapse incident. It was suggested to use an IoT system to develop a Smart Wearable system (SWS) for tracking health. To provide a connection for the monitoring process, a WIFI shield is fixed to it. the outcome of this study can have a significant impact on the healthcare sector because it demonstrates the ability to prevent a critical incident in real time. © 2022 ieee.

SDN, or Software-Defined Networking, is a technology that provides a modern approach to traditional networking that leaves room of innovation, efficiency and scalability. It allows the configurations of a network to be programmable, thus becoming user-defined rather than manufactured-defined. It provides a method of networking that is centralized in concept but decentralized in practise, in the sense that it has a centralized control system but the actual forwarding of data packets occurs in other sectors. Software-Defined Networking (SDN) provides a flexible and scalable approach to networking that allows for user-defined configurations. SDN decouples the control and data layers, allowing for improvements to be made independently. However, the virtualization of the network also exposes it to attacks that exploit vulnerabilities in the SDN system, such as DDoS and Injection attacks. In this paper, we present a comprehensive survey of the threats to the control plane of SDN and explore the various attacks that can compromise the integrity of the system. Our analysis highlights the importance of addressing these vulnerabilities and offers insights into potential solutions to mitigate these threats. © 2023 ieee.

the reliability and quality of power in today's interconnected power systems is very crucial and hence important to examine. Some of the conventional Load Frequency control (LFC) like PID based controllers struggle with the nonlinear dynamics of contemporary power systems. the novel approach suggested in this paper is called Adaptive Quantum-Inspired Evolutionary Algorithm (AQIEA) for tuning one-area controllers leveraging quantum computing principles and evolutionary strategies for optimized performance. the techno-economic benefits of AQIEA include reduced computational costs and enhanced efficiency, leading to potential economic savings through improved system stability and minimized control errors. the objective function, Integral Time Absolute Error (ITAE), was optimized within the range of 0 to 1.0 p. u load change, ensuring robust performance across varying system conditions. According to MATLAB/Simulink-based simulations, AQIEA responds better to standard PID controllers and Genetic Algorithm (GA) based controllers in terms of performance indices such as overshoot, peak values, steady-state error, and Integral Time Absolute Error (ITAE). the results of this study demonstrate how AQIEA can improve the performance and stability of Load Frequency control (LFC) systems in networked power systems. © 2024 ieee.

Keeping streets clean in large urban areas requires a lot of human labor, which is costly, and there is a constant problem - the lack of workers willing to take on this difficult task. In this paper, we describe a control system for an all-electric street sweeper whose goal is to automate the operation of a cleaning rig and allow the vehicle, controlled by a human driver, to follow the curb and adjust the position of the cleaning brushes to compensate for the driver’s deviations from the"ideal" cleaning path. Due to the use of hydraulic actuators, hysteresis controllers were chosen to control the basic functions of the cleaning system (control of the brushes and control of a suction area). A pure pursuit algorithm was used to control the curb following with cleaning rig. the results obtained in a Gazebo simulator showed good responsiveness of the vehicle control system and its readiness for experiments with the recently announced Lynx Charge electric street sweeper from Rasco, Croatia. © 2023 ieee.
