the access of distributed generation can cause some impacts on the distribution network, especially the change of the magnitude and direction of the short-circuit current may cause the relay protection device in the system to refuse or malfunction. Aiming at this problem, a mathematical model id founded in this paper, whose target is the maximum capacity of distributed generation. Besides normal constraints such as the node voltage and the total capacity, the current protection constraint is also taken into account. the genetic algorithm is used to optimize the capacity and location of the distributed generation in the ieee33 bus distribution system model, and the obtained results verify the importance of taking into account the relay protection constraint. © 2022 Institute of Physics Publishing. DC-Nanogrids can be used to efficiently interface renewable energy sources, and energy-storage, with AC and DC loads. this paper introduces a de-centralized energy management system for such a grid, based on a 4-DOF coordinated droop-control strategy, which steers the steady-state power flow between a heterogeneous mix of terminals. this approach enables a highly complex and flexible grid operation that is simultaneously robust, as it does not rely on real-time communication between terminals for stable operation. It is also demonstrated that this strategy does not impact the small-signal stability of the grid. the DC-Nanogrid has been validated in real-world conditions, over a wide variety of grid-topologies.

Persistent area monitoring (PAM) systems utilise multiple autonomous vehicles (AVs) to surveil or sample environmental data from an area that cannot be fully covered by a limited amount of stationary sensors. An optimal PAM solution should coordinate AVs to visit any location in the area as frequently as possible while factoring in AVs' constraints and environmental dynamics. In recent years, model-free multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) approaches have been widely adopted due to their advantage of not requiring an accurate model of the environment and detailed specification of the AVs. However, a key challenge remains, as MARL-based multi-AV systems usually assume ideal AVs' communication conditions with no message loss or message corruption. this paper introduces a MARL-based multi-AV architecture that coordinates AVs for PAM problems that factors in their communication constraints. We propose a deep neural network architecture that provides accurate environment state estimation for the AVs' control policy based on potentially corrupted AVs' information due to communication errors. We validate the PAM performance of our approach in a simulation environment with different numbers of AVs on different maps and different AVs' communication conditions. the results show our approach outperforms the state-of-the-art MARL-based PAM solutions for AVs with communication constraints.

In the field of named entity recognition of diabetes literature, due to the lack of large-scale and high-quality annotation data sets, the traditional named entity recognition technology has the drawback of insufficient language feature extraction and poor generalization ability. In view of the above problems, this paper proposes an entity recognition method that integrates general domain knowledge for naming entity recognition in diabetes literature. this method uses Word2vec algorithm to generate feature level vectors based on Chinese diabetes literature. On this basis, the feature vectors are fused with the feature vectors generated by the pretraining model of BERT on the Chinese Wikipedia corpus, and uses principal component analysis to reduce the redundant feature vectors and enhance the expression ability of feature vectors in the general language scope. then the context features are extracted by bidirectional long-term and short-term memory network, and finally the entity label sequence is generated by conditional random field decoding. the experiment proves that the model which integrates general domain knowledge is better than other traditional models in the recognition of Chinese diabetes literature, and the highest F1 value is 71.08%. © 2021 ieee.

In this work, localization of the landmarks has been solved without prior knowledge of the environment. A well-known SLAM technique (Extended Kalman Filter and RGBD-SLAM) has been used to solve the localization of landmarks and to build 2D and 3D maps of the environment. SLAM techniques are implemented on a two-wheeled mobile robot by using an encoder to measure the feedback. the robot is programmed intelligently to autonomously navigate in an indoor static environment. A Sonar sensor is installed for for obstacle avoidance which reduces the computational cost. LiDAR and Microsoft Kinect (RGBD) sensors are used to localize the landmarks as well as to build the maps individually whenever an obstacle is detected. Experimental results show that the robot is capable to effectively determine the position of the landmarks and build a map in a Robotic operating system (ROS). © 2021 ieee.

In this paper, distributed robust adaptive backstepping control algorithm is developed for the output synchronization of multiple strict feedback systems with dead-zone nonlinearity. No knowledge could be assumed on the dead-zone for the design and implementation of controller and also the unknown system parameters. By combining graph theory with backstepping method, a distributed controller is designed for each agent recursively in order to make its output synchronized with the output of its neighbors, meanwhile, the overall system maintains bounded. It is proven that the output of all agents in the network could be synchronized when we connects the undirected graph, i.e., cooperative output synchronization of the network can be realized. the voltage equalization control of ultra-capacitor is presented as a numerical example to prove the effectiveness of the proposed controllers. © 2021 ieee.

distributed state estimation (DSE) is considered as a more robust and reliable alternative for centralized state estimation (CSE) in power system. Especially, taking into account the future power grid, so called smart grid in which bi-directional transfer of energy and information happens, and renewable energy sources with huge indeterminacy are applied more than before. Combining the mentioned features and complexity of the power network, there is a high probability that CSE face problems such as communication bottleneck or security/reliability issues. So, DSE has the potential to be considered as a solution to solve the mentioned issues. In this paper, first, a modified convergence criterion is proposed and has been tested for different approaches of DSE problem, considering the most important factors such as iteration number, convergence rate, and data needed to be transferred to/from each area. then, an optimal partitioning technique has been implemented for clustering the system into different areas. Besides the detailed analysis and comparison of recent DSE methods, the proposed partitioning method's effectiveness and scalability has been shown in this paper.

To meet new challenges in the transmission and distribution grid, it becomes necessary to implement a flexibility markets mechanism. this paper proposes a framework based on optimal power flow for coordination of flexibility exchange between transmission and distribution grid. the acquiring flexibility assets can be applied effectively in response to possible grid challenges in different electricity grid levels. the proposed power flow approach is formulated as a hybrid AC/DC optimal power flow (AC/DC-OPF) model. this model consists of two different power flow methods. For the distribution grid, a second-order cone AC optimal power flow (SOC-ACOPF) method is formulated. For the transmission grid, a DC optimal power flow (DCOPF) method is applied. this approach also incorporates scenario-based and multi-period modeling, optimizing flexibility usage for a predefined period. the optimization is based on power demand, grid constraints, cost minimization, and operational criteria for distributed energy resources. the results presented in this paper are valuable for creating and implementing an adequate flexibility exchange mechanism between TSO and DSO.

this paper addresses the significant challenges of minimizing power loss and voltage deviation in distribution systems, exacerbated by the increasing prevalence of plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs). It introduces a novel multi-objective framework tailored to efficiently integrate Renewable- Based distributed Generation and soft open point (SOP) technologies into distribution networks, considering the presence of PEVs. the primary objective is to concurrently minimize power losses and voltage deviation. the study integrates practical voltage-dependent load models and PEV loads into the analysis. Employing the $\varepsilon$ constraint method, the paper addresses the multi-objective optimization problem, implemented using the GAMS and MATLAB interfacing environment. through numerical simulations on the ieee 33-bus distribution network, the authors demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed multi-objective optimization scheme. Test results underscore the significance of combined allocation of RES and SOP, revealing a notable reduction of approximately 16.6% in power loss and 15.59% in voltage deviation within the distribution network. this approach ensures a reliable and efficient power supply, essential for modern energy systems.

the transition to sixth-generation (6G) wireless networks underscores the importance of reliable network services in critical scenarios, such as post-disaster and rural areas. Space-Air-Ground Integrated Networks (SAGINs), which include satellite systems, aerial networks, and terrestrial communication, are crucial for global coverage in these contexts. Despite their potential, satellite network latencies and the dynamic nature of Unmanned Aerial systems (UAS) present challenges that diverge from 6G requirements. this paper introduces RAIN4C, a multi-layer framework that integrates hybrid communication and computation solutions across satellite, aerial, and ground segments. RAIN4C focuses on reliable connectivity, energy-efficient computation, and effective caching to address the key issues of deploying SAGIN systems. It proposes methods for optimizing these functionalities and evaluates them through simulations and a test-bed involving satellite links and UAVs. the goal is to enable swift deployment of SAGIN systems for on-demand services in critical environments, aligning with the needs of future wireless networks.
