Aiming at the problem of swirling clusters in Cognitive Radio sensor Network (CRSN), which cannot guarantee the data reliability due to the lack of fault tolerance, this paper proposes a fault-tolerant clustering algorithm based on reputation and clustering, which organizes the nodes in the network into multiple clusters or clusters by using k-means clustering method, and reduces the overall communication distance and energy consumption. Reduce the overall communication distance and energy consumption and improve the data transmission efficiency. the algorithm optimizes the energy usage of each node, especially the energy allocation in the cluster centers, aiming to extend the overall life cycle of the network. By dynamically updating the reputation value mechanism to select reliable nodes as clustering centers, the network is able to effectively cope with node failures, energy variations, and environmental disturbances and enhance the network's security and resistance to attacks, resulting in a significant improvement in communication performance.

At present, the most widely used large-space automatic jet fire extinguishing system-LRB-automatic fire water cannon) is easily disturbed by sunlight in outdoor environment, resulting in accidental spray or unable to find the fire source. To address these issues, the proposed system integrates ultraviolet (UV) sensors and image recognition technology to accurately detect and extinguish flames, both indoors and outdoors, at a lower cost. the system is divided into multiple modules, including image processing, main control, mobile robot base, and power management. the camera filters visible light interference using a narrow-band filter, while the UV sensor detects open flames, enabling accurate tracking. the water cannon is mounted on a mobile robot, which can autonomously adjust its position to enhance fire-fighting efficiency. the paper highlights the modular design, allowing for easy upgrades without affecting other components. Additionally, the system can be expanded to include automatic patrol capabilities and remote monitoring for broader fire coverage in large spaces.

In recent years, many young parents have the difficulties of high work pressure, little parenting experience and weak parenting ability, and even have negative emotions such as anxiety and uneasiness. According to reports, due to improper care, there are many cases of infant fracture, scald, gas poisoning, severe eczema and so on. In view of the above situation and people's habit of using mobile phones, this paper designs an automatic infant care system based on Arduino. the system has the advantages of simple operation, low cost, wide range of users, and can detect temperature, humidity, harmful gases, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, etc., aiming at providing the most intimate service for young families. © 2021 ieee.

In the distributed fiber-optic sensing system for power grid, simultaneous measurement of temperature, strain and vibration based on Brillouin scattering and Rayleigh scattering in fiber could have wide applications. However, there are certain challenges for the case of multi-parameter sensing in power grid, including the interplay of different scattering mechanisms and the interaction of different types of sensing signals. In this paper, a multi-parameter distributed fiber-optic sensing system which can simultaneously measure temperature, strain and vibration is elaborately designed via integrating the signal of Rayleigh scattering and Brillouin scattering. the prototype with multi-parameter sensing capability was successfully developed and it was qualified for monitoring in optical fiber composite ground wire. Experimental results demonstrate that method has excellent potential for the maintenance of overhead transmission line and it is important to enhance the performances such as spatial resolution and measurement distance for further applications. © 2021 ieee.

In order to evaluate the fault location performance under the optimal configuration scheme of Power Quality Monitoring System(PQMS) monitoring points with distributed Generation(DG) in, a fault location method based on successive binary search was ***, the influence of DG on traditional optimal configuration is analyzed, and the optimal configuration improvement strategy for DG access is *** function relation between node voltage and fault distance under DG access is analyzed, and the ratio variation relation caused by voltage variation between monitoring points is used to reflect the characteristics of slight variation of electrical quantity, and the ranging evaluation function is *** order to avoid the setting of convergence threshold, the disadvantage of setting fixed threshold is *** on the mean ranging error, several feasible monitoring point configuration schemes are evaluated for ranging performance and the optimal configuration scheme for fault location performance is *** 4-node system verifies that the ranging method does not need to set fixed convergence threshold. In the improved ieee14 node system, this feature can be used to evaluate the positioning performance of four different monitoring point configuration schemes, and finally obtain the optimal positioning performance configuration scheme. © 2022 Institute of Physics Publishing. Wireless power transfer technologies lead the way towards new paradigms for pervasive networking and have already penetrated the mobile and portable user device research and market. their use is not only limited to charging devices like smartphones wirelessly by using a central wireless charger, but it is also extended to peer-to-peer (P2P) wireless crowd charging, when a user device shares energy directly with another user device. this paper surveys the literature over the period 2014-2020 on both P2P and central wireless crowd charging from the point of view of algorithmic applications as it applies to ubiquitously networked user devices and identifies some open research challenges for the future.

In wireless sensor networks, the radio of the wireless sensor node happens to be the highest source of energy consumption. Hence, there is a need to focus on the MAC layer, as it controls access to the radio. While there are several existing techniques to make sensors more energy-efficient, not many of them consider the security aspects of energy efficiency. By this we mean protecting energy from external attacks. the existing protocols focus mainly on either duty cycling (sensor-MAC, Time-out MAC) or clustering (Gateway MAC), as a way of conserving energy. One of such attacks to energy is the denial-of-sleep (DoSL) attack which is a specific kind of denial-of-service attacks designed to drain the energy of battery-powered sensors in a wireless sensor network. this paper explains the development of a new MAC layer protocol called Layered-MAC aimed at not just energy efficiency but energy protection against DoSL attacks. the protocol is implemented on the OMNET++ and Castalia simulator. the results from the simulation are then compared with two representative existing duty-cycled protocols (Time-out MAC and sensor-MAC), and significant improvements are present. One of the benefits of the developed protocol is that not only does it attempt to save energy, but it protects energy from DoSL attacks. there are two main contributions from this research – the first is the additional layer of network metrics (RSSI and LQI) consideration, based on the premise that protection/security is not possible without some form of measurement of assets, and the cluster head rotation which adds an extra layer of energy protection while considering energy efficiency. © 2022, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

State-of-the-art sensor technologies, such as Real-Time Kinematic Global Navigation Satellite systems (RTK GNSS) and high-density Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR), provide unparalleled accuracy for creating digital twins of infrastructure against the backdrop of the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR). A new generation of low-power sensor platforms and distributed, Long-Range Wide Area Network (LoRaWAN) communications provide continuous, online monitoring of the influence of the built environment on the surrounding environment. the built environment remains inextricably linked to sports engineering applications, notably marathons. the development and deployment of these technologies stand to benefit high-performance sporting events. this paper demonstrates quantitative micro- and macroclimatic measurements (temperature, relative humidity, altitude, CO2 concentrations, air quality, organic volatiles, and geolocation) associated with the built environment over the course of a 42.2 km lap-based marathon hosted at the University of Pretoria (UP) in South Africa, which were measured and wirelessly relayed in real-time. Digitization of the marathon route using RTK GNSS and LiDAR sensing capabilities was done, allowing for detailed geometry measurements and environmental analysis before and after such events. this intersection of engineering and sports disciplines and technology illustrates the potential realization of smart cities and recreation in an evolutionary society.

this paper demonstrates a technique to write in air using Micaz motes. the application, named MicaPen is low-cost and can be used by the disabled who does not have fingers or limbs. Patients can wear the mote as a wrist watch or bracelet and move their hands based on what character they want to write. the mote detects the movement pattern using the accelerometer of MTS310 sensorboard and displays the characters on the screen. the application can also be extended in several applications including virtual touchscreen or remotely interact with different controlled devices.

In grid-connected distributed generating (DG) systems, islanding has become a severe problem. Emerging energy production into the current power system has produced a variety of difficulties, the most significant of which is fast and efficient islanding detection to minimize damage to equipment, system security interference, and safety threats. Whenever a microgrid system is deployed, it is completely disconnected from the main grid. Several strategies have been developed in recent research publications to identify the islanding situation, which is classified as active, passive, or hybrid. In this work, the variation in the autocorrelation function of a modal current envelope (VAMCE) approach is utilized to identify the islanding scenario rapidly and precisely. the approach first transforms the three-phase current signal into a modal current signal and then calculates the envelope using a quadrature demodulation method. Finally, the suggested methodology used a VAMCE technique to discriminate among islanding and non-islanding circumstances. the VAMCE methodology changes insignificantly under normal settings, but it differs widely during islanding scenarios, making this approach more beneficial for islanding detection. this approach is examined using many simulations with parameters like active and reactive power in normal and islanded condition. According to the simulation findings, the suggested methodology is more accurate and can be finished in a reasonable timeframe than the previous methods. the recognition performance in terms of time is only 0.4s, also the NDZ is very minor. © 2022 ieee.
