Underwater Internet of things Wireless sensor Networks (UIoTWSN) are an important component in the process of marine monitoring and gathering of environmental data. Due to the dynamic nature of underwater environments and limits of typical intrusion detection system (IDS), these networks are extremely susceptible to incursions. Both of these factors make them extremely vulnerable. the approaches that are currently in use include problem areas such as computational inefficiencies, high false positive rest and lack of adaptability to changing attack patterns. A Federated Learning based Hierarchical IDS for utility IOT is suggested to overcome these issues. By utilizing federated learning with multi-tiered detection framework, this system is able to protect the privacy of data, reduce the amount of computing overhead and effectively respond to emerging threats in real time. the hybrid method employs Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for the extraction of spatial features and Bi-LSTM networks for the analysis of temporal features. Moreover, reinforcement learning is utilized to dynamically modify network conditions and attack patterns. To maximize the utilization of resource in the underwater sea, an optimization method is utilized. this method is energy constrained, lightweight and energy efficient. In addition, the stability of the method is further enhanced by capability of blockchain technology to allow secure collaboration between nodes. the findings of the experiment shows that the proposed FL-HIDS is a reliable option for ensuring the safety of UIoTWSN since it achieves higher level of accuracy, increased energy efficiency and less false positives in compared to methods that are currently in development. this paper presents an innovative intrusion detection system which is suitable for issues in Underwater IoT © 2024 ieee.

In the distributed energy storage capacity scheduling of the campus, energy trading and electricity price optimization of the energy storage system is a complex problem. In this study, a distributed energy storage capacity balancing scheduling method for parks considering carbon assets is proposed. Based on multiple time scales, a balanced scheduling framework of energy storage capacity is constructed considering carbon assets. In this framework, the grey entropy fireworks algorithm is applied to complete the balanced scheduling of distributed energy storage capacity in the park. the experimental results show that the output power of the park and the curve fluctuation of the battery are smaller, the power output is more stable, and the battery life is longer. © 2024 ieee.

Wireless sensor Networks (WSNs) are pivotal in modern applications, yet challenges such as energy efficiency and network lifetime remain critical. this paper proposes a Dynamic Energy-Efficient Clustering Algorithm (DEECA) utilizing hybrid metaheuristics combining Egret Swarm Optimization and Genetic Algorithms. the proposed method dynamically selects cluster heads and optimizes clustering based on node energy, distance, and traffic conditions. Simulations were conducted on diverse WSN scenarios to evaluate energy consumption, network lifetime, packet delivery ratio, and throughput. Results demonstrate that DEECA outperforms traditional algorithms such as LEACH, HEED, and PSO by achieving a 20% increase in network lifetime and a 15% improvement in packet delivery ratio. Visual analyses include energy consumption trends, coverage heatmaps, and multi-metric radar plots. the findings validate DEECA's capability to enhance energy efficiency and scalability in WSNs, offering a robust framework for real-world deployments in resource-constrained environments. © 2024 ieee.

Wireless sensor Network, through the Internet of things (IoT), has contributed immensely by enhancing several sectors by linking numerous devices. these networks help collect and exchange important information which is crucial for various platforms. Nevertheless, accurate node localization of these networks remains pivotal for ensuring both the data and network integrity. the dynamic environment of IoT networks means variable network conditions, node density and susceptibility to malicious acts, which creates difficulties in achieving accurate and reliable localization. Existing methods used to perform node localization have some drawbacks such as poor accuracy, expensive computational complexity and no protection mechanisms from malicious attacks. To tackle these challenges, this research presents a novel methodology, Secure Node Localization in IoT-Based Wireless sensor Networks Using SkiProofAdaptiveNet-OsOpt: Unification of Clustering and Blockchain-Optimized Neural Networks. Our proposed method combines several state-of-art methods to improve the node localization. In more detail, the novel algorithms employed are Ski-Opt to promote clustering efficiency;ProofWrk to boost the security of the blockchains utilized C2ANet for enhancing the prediction ability significantly and OsOpt for accurate and safe node positioning. this integrated solution is highly effective as compared to the current methods because of these issues. Our approach improves the clustering accuracy by 95%, and has a 98.7% prediction accuracy rate, which is quite impressive, and a localization accuracy rate of 97.5%. this method not only outperforms the conventional methods but also raises the benchmark of safe and accurate node localization in IoT-based WSNs. Our methodology's success reliably addresses the difficulties of IoT networks, employing notable improvements in both rate and protection. © 2024 ieee.

Leading autonomous vehicle (AV) platforms and testing infrastructures are, unfortunately, proprietary and closed-source. thus, it is difficult to evaluate how well safety-critical AVs perform and how safe they truly are. Similarly, few platforms exist for much-needed multi-agent analysis. To provide a starting point for analysis of sensor fusion and collaborative & distributed sensing, we design an accessible, modular sensing platform with AVstack [9]. We build collaborative and distributed camera-radar fusion algorithms and demonstrate an evaluation ecosystem of AV datasets, physics-based simulators, and hardware in the physical world. this three-part ecosystem enables testing next-generation configurations that are prohibitively challenging in existing development platforms.

the Program to Accelerate Technologies for Homecare, called PAth, is an initiative designed to enhance home health technology and support aging individuals' desire to comfortably age in place. this paper outlines the conceptual framework, development, and preliminary deployment of PAth across various Canadian sites. PAth leverages a web-based application framework and sensor integration techniques to foster solutions tailored to the needs of aging individuals. PAth currently includes 21 active users and 11 developed project themes. the preliminary results demonstrate the feasibility of advanced technological integration in homecare settings. the findings from PAth's initial deployment suggest a promising direction for future research and development in home health technology, highlighting the importance of user-centric design and cross-sector collaboration in creating supportive environments for aging in place. © 2024 ieee.

With the increasingly busy lifestyles of people, advanced maintenance systems such as automated feeding has become of utmost importance to aquarium owners. Despite existing technologies, there remains a gap in smart feeding solutions tailored to the specific dietary requirements of different fish species and population sizes. this paper investigates smart fish feeding through automated detection, counting, classification and feeding of fishes within aquariums. As part of this paper, a smart population-driven aquarium maintenance system, named AquaTrack, is proposed that integrates Internet of things (IoT), computer vision, machine learning, and sensor technologies. the system detects, classifies, and counts fish, adjusting feeding amounts based on species and population to mitigate the risks of overfeeding and underfeeding, which can significantly affect water quality. the system was evaluated through four research questions, where a general accuracy of 76.9% in fish species identification and 77.1% in fish counting were found. While promising outcomes were observed under specific conditions, variability and limitations in performance across different scenarios were also noted. Environmental factors such as lighting, reflections, shadows, and particulate matter affected the accuracies, particularly in scenarios involving smaller fish quantities. Based on these findings, the study recommends further refinement of the system to enhance its capabilities. © 2024 ieee.

this paper introduces a novel data collection model called ConciseNet that leverages a cutting-edge data reconstruction method to significantly enhance signal reconstruction accuracy in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). In traditional WSNs, data collection is prone to errors and losses, especially in long-range scenarios. the proposed model addresses this challenge by employing ConciseNet, an attentive sequential model that effectively compresses sensor signals without compromising information fidelity. the unique strength of ConciseNet lies in its ability to capture essential features from raw sensor data, allowing for efficient and precise reconstruction over extended periods. the result is a more robust and accurate representation of collected data, thereby improving the quality of information gathered by the WSN and maximizing the lifetime of sensors and WSNs. © 2024 ieee.

the use of blockchain technology is growing every day, as are its applications. It is a cutting-edge technology that enables users to interact without the use of a reliable intermediary. this research paper explores the development of a decentralized application (Dapp) and the design considerations involved in building a secure, scalable, and userfriendly application on a blockchain or distributed ledger technology. the paper discusses the importance of decentralization, security, user experience, scalability, interoperability, and governance in the development of a Dapp. the research also explores the implementation of smart contracts, the use of standardized protocols and APIs, and the role of decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs) in creating a Dapp that allows for decentralized decision-making and community governance. the findings of this research provide insights and recommendations for developers and stakeholders interested in building Dapps, particularly in the context of blockchain technology. © 2023 ieee.
