Industry 4.0 presents a novel dimension in the domain of smart agriculture of the tardiest decade. In precision agriculture, the on-field sensor node receives the repetitive agriculture data and forwards it to the isolated station across the wireless carriers. Data received at the base station is big therefore they are deposited in the cloud storage. Cloud computing interfaces have been built utilizing the HTTP protocol, and therefore different HTTP threats have presented to harm agriculture data. Several techniques have been proposed such as threat detection with shortcomings of less precision and higher detection failures. thus implementing such conventional methods for attack detection is a nightmare and needed an effective method to detect such cyber threats for the Industry 4.0-connected cloud computing interface. the proposed work presents the methodology of detecting the HTTP threats in the cloud storage connected with Industry 4.0-based precision agriculture applications. the results confirmed that the proposed technique obtained better performance compared to state-of-art methods for HTTP attack detection in cloud computing *** the use of water, composts, herbicides, and pesticides outside of farmhouse kinds of equipment is one way that precision farming may provide practical and ecological *** event data, data execution, and control advancements in precision agriculture all rely on WSN. the reliability and robustness of WSNs, which have had a significant influence via the wireless channel, are absolutely critical to the effectiveness of such an intelligent *** Security: Before investigating the challenges of precision farming routing, we first focused on the detection of Hypertext Transport Protocol (HTTP) threats under Industry 4.0-connected methods. Proper waste segregation is a common problem all over the world. In the past few years, the growing population resulted in the increase of waste in the environment. In this study, the Internet of things was utilized to develop a vision-based garbage bin using multiple sensors and relay information to the system to classify waste automatically. TensorFlow and Machine Learning were used to build datasets for classification and detection of waste. the suggested method provided a practical solution for efficient waste classification. the image processing algorithm recognized a variety of waste taken by the camera. the classifications of metal, paper, plastic, and food waste showed precisions of 97.25, 96.75, 97.25, and 95.6%. the precision was 94.87% for the scores based on the confusion matrix. A total of 10 trials were performed for each waste and the actual and predicted results were compared. the findings showed that the combination of four garbage bins resulted in an accuracy of 91.30% in waste classification. A mobile application is incorporated to monitor the capacity of the bin. the developed integrated vision-based disposal system addresses waste-related problems specifically proper waste classification.

In Modern day swiftly changing urban environments, ensuring the maintenance and safety of essential infrastructure, such as manholes, has become critically important. Manholes are vital for the effective operation of sewer systems, yet they present substantial challenges regarding maintenance, safety, and the early identification of problems. Conventional methods frequently lack the capacity to offer real-time, comprehensive solutions. this is where the Internet of things (IoT) emerges as a revolutionary solution. the objective of this research is to develop a prototype-based manhole monitoring system. this system comprises sensors such as DHT11 for temperature and humidity monitoring inside the manhole, ultrasonic sensors for water level measurement, gas sensors for detecting hazardous gases, and tilt sensors to track the status of the manhole cover (open or closed). the results include real-time monitoring and visualization of these parameters using a cloud-based platform like thing Speak. Quantifiable results will include precise measurements of temperature, humidity, water levels, gas concentrations, and manhole cover status, enabling proactive maintenance and timely interventions to enhance safety and operational efficiency in urban environments. this result improved the performance of the real-time developed kit, achieving a 90% increase over the other models.

the use of deep neural networks (DNN) for 3Dimage processing significantly enhances visual cognition of mobile systems by considering spatial information. However, training and execution require high computing power. this is crucial in applications with real-time constraints since mobile systems have limited resources. Current approaches do not consider the usage of 3D-sensing. Furthermore, suggested system architectures solely focus on cloud- and edge-computing in combination with load balancing and parallelization for a distributed execution of DNNs. In contrast, we propose a novel system architecture for the distributed and context aware usage of DNNs for image processing tasks in mobile 3D-multi-sensor systems. thereby, the scalable cloud- and edge-infrastructure is complemented by realtime capable and energy-efficient FPGA-computing. the publishsubscriber pattern facilitates the distributed execution of DNNs as well as their dynamic deployment. Moreover, context information is considered. thus, a rule-based context model dynamically loads specialized DNNs and selects appropriate devices for execution. Finally, a case-study on a mobile 3D-multi-sensor system for wheeled walkers demonstrates applicability and benefits of the proposed approach.

With the demand for food projected to rise between 59 and 98% to sustain a population of 9.7 billion people by the year 2050, the global challenge of ensuring food security is becoming increasingly prominent. the decline in rural farmers and the unsustainable methods of traditional farming practices have spurred the emergence of urban farming. Among urban farming techniques, aquaponics systems poise technological integration. the effectiveness of aquaponics relies on a dependable cyber-physical system with Internet of things (IoT) technology. However, integrating IoT devices results in elevated power consumption and increased production costs for fish and vegetables due to the constant need for power and uninterrupted connectivity. To address this concern, exploring green IoT strategies and techniques to minimize energy consumption and carbon emissions is imperative. therefore, we employed an innovative modeling and simulation approach to investigate the potential of optimizing sensor placement and sampling rates' impact on energy consumption within an IoT architecture deployed in a commercial-sized multi-loop aquaponics system at Metro Farm (Downtown East, Singapore). the IoT architectures were modeled and simulated using the VisualSim software package. the achieved energy savings were quantified in Watt-hours and extrapolated to assess the overall energy conservation and cost savings for the entire urban farm.

Python is rapidly becoming the lingua franca of machine learning and scientific computing. With the broad use of frameworks such as Numpy, SciPy, and TensorFlow, scientific computing and machine learning are seeing a productivity boost on systems without a requisite loss in performance. While high-performance libraries often provide adequate performance within a node, distributed computing is required to scale Python across nodes and make it genuinely competitive in large-scale high-performance computing. Many frameworks, such as Charm4Py, DaCe, Dask, Legate Numpy, mpi4py, and Ray, scale Python across nodes. However, little is known about these frameworks' relative strengths and weaknesses, leaving practitioners and scientists without enough information about which frameworks are suitable for their requirements. In this paper, we seek to narrow this knowledge gap by studying the relative performance of two such frameworks: Charm4Py and *** perform a comparative performance analysis of Charm4Py and mpi4py using CPU and GPU-based microbenchmarks other representative mini-apps for scientific computing. © 2021 ieee.

Because of their widespread use in contexts with constrained resources, wireless sensor networks' (WSNs) ability to conserve energy is of the utmost importance. Assigning cluster heads to each group of sensor nodes and classifying them as a cluster is the standard method for clustering. But it’s not easy to get the network performance and energy usage just right. Several hierarchical methods, several levels of clustering, and dynamic clustering models are covered in this study as energy-efficient clustering protocols. We evaluate these protocols' impact on network lifetime, energy consumption, and data transfer reliability using simulation results and performance metrics. Among the most recent developments in the field of energy-efficient clustering include the use of machine learning for the purpose of predicting network behavior and adjusting cluster formation, and the development of intricate protocols that combine several energy-saving techniques. the research highlights the importance of enhancing and incorporating clustering techniques into WSN systems to meet their future demands and adapt to their dynamic nature. Improving the operational life of WSNs and building sustainable and optimal solutions are both made possible by energy-efficient clustering methods.

In recent times the use of small computing devices for gathering information from the real world is increasing day by day. the devices like wireless sensors, RIFD tags, embedded devices and IoT devices are required to transmit huge amounts of confidential data for monitoring and controlling. IoT applications have now become an important factor across various industries. that is why the security of IoT device is always been an important issue, because they transmit private and sensitive data. For handling the security issue cryptography is one the way for handling the security issues of IoT devices but sometimes cryptographic algorithms are cracked and as well as very costly. Lightweight cryptography requires less memory and less computational cost. Substitution box is a very useful concept in generating the lightweight cryptographic algorithm that provide robust security in the process of encryption. this study produces lightweight cryptographic encryption and decryption algorithm with the help of substitution boxes. the provided scheme not only provides the encryption procedure but also generating a flexible key structure which enhances the security for IoT devices where lightweight image encryption is crucial. the provided technique will be beneficial for those places where confidential public data has to be secured. the aim of this paper is to recommend effective original and straightforward techniques of encryption and decryption by using the substitution box. Experimental results show the efficiency of the suggested technique in terms of execution time and throughput.

A huge amount of IoT-sensor data may threaten a capacity limitation of cloud computing in near future. To mitigate computation burden of cloud computing due to the massive amount of sensed data, a memristor crossbar for Hierarchical Temporal Memory (HTM) spatial-pooling can be considered for energy-efficient near-IoT-sensor computing. By doing so, the amount of data sent to the cloud server can be reduced significantly from 784 gray pixels to 400 Sparse distributed Representation (SDR) bits or 256 SDR bits for processing MNIST hand-written digits. the loss of recognition rate is as little as 2.48% and 1.93% for the 256-column and 400-column memristor crossbars of spatial-pooling, respectively. In addition, we have tested and verified the defect-resilience scheme of spatial-pooling memristor crossbar in this paper, because memristor crossbars near IoT sensor are vulnerable to memristor defects such as stuck-at-faults, resistance variations, etc.

Robotic communities are increasingly important in executing operations in a wide variety of industries. Before designing and deploying such robots it is important to determine and carefully plan the configuration, knowledge composition, and coordination strategies. Multi-agent simulation modeling offers a malleable and powerful way to conduct such planning and elucidate key parameters and their interactions associated with collaboration dynamics. the paper offers motivations, an adaptive learning scheme, and empirical evidence drawn from a few case studies. Among the key findings one is that complex tasks can be conducted effectively and efficiently over billions of robots without relying on a singular source of global knowledge. Another interesting finding is that through collaboration and emergent learning, robots can create communication channels among dominant players and less dominant intermediaries that are critical connectors across network overlays (representing clusters of specialists).
