In order to solve the problem that the temperature of the tube wall of the tube plate dryer cannot get real-time data feedback during the drying process, which affects the moisture at the exit of the leaf wire drying and the sensory quality of the cigarette, a distributed temperature measurement system was innovatively designed to monitor the key temperature change points of the tube wall in real time and ensure the stability and consistency of the parameters during the drying process. Based on the structure of SH35F tube plate wire drying machine, a simulation model was established. the axial and radial distribution characteristics of the temperature field of the barrel of the wire drying machine and the key points of temperature field changes were calculated by means of fluid control equation and heat control equation. A temperature detection unit consisting of battery module, temperature measurement module and temperature sensor probe was installed at the key points of temperature change of the barrel. To achieve high precision continuous temperature measurement, and then use lora module to form a wireless network for data transmission, each measurement point is configured with a wireless transmission module, so that the real-time monitoring data of each temperature measurement unit can be uniformly transmitted through wireless communication to the supreme computer for data transmission and processing. MySQL database is used to develop the system database for data processing, storage, display and analysis. Finally, taking A brand of cigarettes as the research object, the temperature acquisition system was used to continuously sample the temperature of the dryer cylinder wall during the production process. the results showed that the temperature detection system reached normal operation, and the temperature detection accuracy was less than 0.2 °C. the transmission of measurement data runs stably, the effective working distance of the wireless signal receiver reach

Recently, much progress has been made in using Neural Networks (NNs) for important yet narrowly focused tasks such as image classification (e.g., VGG-Net, ResNet), playing complex games like GO or other Computer Vision (CV) tasks. While these achievements are impressive, they are either achieved on computers with virtually unlimited resources or with little regard to real-time actionability. In this paper, we propose to combine the ubiquity of low-resource mobile devices, e.g., drones, with approximate- and distributed-computing techniques in order to make these NN techniques deployable on resource-constrained devices as well as to provide real-time information about the environment. We target situational awareness, which involves sensing the crucial factors in a new environment on a real-time basis. Specifically, we introduce intelligence to a team of drones in the form of real-time detection of a suspect/weapon using local resources and suspect identification in an emergency situation. We validate our proposed methods using Microsoft AirSim simulator via both simulations and hardware-in-the-loop emulations.

this paper presents the design, build, integration, and implementation of a control system for an urban greenhouse. A next generation programmable logic controller (PLCnext technology) is used to realize the control system application. PLCnext based controller interactions with sensor network and electromechanical systems are documented. the sensor network includes temperature, humidity, moisture, and light sensors. the electromechanical system includes heaters, fans, motors, solenoids, lights, and other required electrical components. Printed circuit boards (PCBs) for the sensor network and control system interface are custom designed. System integration, laboratory testing, and on-site implementation results are included in this paper.

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are progressively gaining acceptance in various fields due to the real-world data they can seamlessly obtain. Nevertheless, the transmission and collecting of sensitive data are still issues with problems and challenges. Present solutions may pose such limitations as security threats and signal lagging because they are unable to optimize security and throughput. In traditional systems, slow and unreliable measurements associated with the use of basic protocols for routing and the use of ordinary encryption techniques are realized. In this work, new approaches for enhancing WSN safety, identifiability, dependability, and quality are proposed. Today’s secure routing techniques, effective real time data transmission and flow control are some of the aspects of the system, which are in mind. Energy- aware routing enables efficient using of energy in the required aspects without affecting the overall quality of the network performance. the End-to-End Delay was found to be the least at 8 ms. 4 seconds and this is clearer evidence that our proposed system is superior compared to other existing systems using the Prospective Node Position-Based Neighborhood Selection (NPBNS) protocol. By this protocol data packets may be transmitted inside the WSN quicker by minimizing the time taken to communicate. thus, the suggested approach may be considered the most favorable for future WSN deployment as it enhances network performance while maintaining a high level of security. However, in terms of the design with the highest PDR of 92%, the Proposed Node Position-Based Neighbourhood Selection (NPBNS) approach outperformed the others as the most accurate in this assessment.

With the rapid development of distributed resources, the dispersion of their distribution, the variability of their operation, and the random fluctuation of their power pose a great challenge to the optimal operation of the system. therefore, a virtual power plant construction model considering dynamic aggregation of discrete distributed resources is proposed to realize the coordinated and optimal operation of discrete distributed resources. First, to address the problem that complementary characteristics of multi-type distributed resources are difficult to model, the aggregate energy based on landscape theory is established to quantify the matching relationship between distributed resources. Second, asymmetric robust intervals are used to meticulously describe the stochastic output of renewable energy, and the complex robust model is transformed into a mixed-integer linear programming model. Finally, a dynamic aggregation model of a virtual power plant is established by considering the two objectives of maximizing aggregate energy and minimizing cost, as well as tracking scheduling instructions and the physical feasibility constraints of cross-space aggregation. the proposed virtual power plant construction method is verified to be reasonable and feasible by combining the improved ieee 39-bus example.

Wireless sensor networks has been a large analysis topic over a decade. sensor networks are autonomous sensors distributed spatially to observe physical or environmental conditions. those sensors generate record about the prevalence of an event over the network. A well-organized MAC protocol layout has a paramount significance for a sensor network to offer higher reliability and advanced lifetime. there are numerous MAC protocols multichannel that play higher than that of the single channel protocols. MAC layer coordinates the transmission between users who share a spectrum and enhances efficiency of strength and throughput. © 2020 ieee.

As Artificial Intelligence (AI) becomes more integrated into public governance, concerns about its transparency and accountability have become increasingly important. the use of AI in decision-making processes raises questions about bias, fairness, and the protection of individual fundamental rights. To ensure that AI is used in a way that upholds democratic values, it is essential to develop systems that are trustworthy, transparent, and accountable. Trusted AI allows citizens to have greater trust in public organizations and their decision-making processes, while it also enables public authorities and policy makers to be more transparent and accountable, providing citizens with greater visibility into how policies are developed. In addition, it encourages the use of AI in a way that promotes fairness and equity, ensuring that decision-making processes are unbiased and discrimination free against certain groups of individuals. this paper investigates how these desirable attributes can be developed in ways that are feasible and effective through the design of a holistic environment that incorporates AI and Big Data management mechanisms while preserving that the AI technology should be shaped around human rights, values, and societal needs. Societal change and evidence-based policies will be achieved through the extension of business and policy making processes with advanced approaches, such as eXplainable AI (XAI) and Situation-Aware Explainability (SAX). To this end, a novel approach is proposed, which will converge techniques and research on multiple domains, including social sciences, Trustworthy AI, Ethical AI, Big Data analytics, IoT, and blockchain into a unified ecosystem.

Nowadays, data parallelism has been widely applied to train large datasets on distributed deep learning clusters, but it has suffered from costly global parameter updates at batch barriers. Performance imbalance among worker instances, introduced by uneven workload partitioning or biased resource allocation, can cause straggly workers, which can lead to severe impacts on both training speed and result accuracy. this paper studies the issue focusing on the tradeoff between training speed and result accuracy. We propose Cooperate Grouping Parallel (CGP), a hybrid parameter update solution that allows the flexibility of both synchronous and asynchronous update schemes. We introduce a novel Cooperate Worker Grouping Problem (CWGP) that seeks a task grouping configuration that leads to maximum model accuracy and holds customized training speed guarantees. We propose an evolution-based Pareto local searching algorithm to compute efficient worker grouping configurations. Comprehensive evaluation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of CGP under both persistent and fluctuant imbalances. the proposed method alleviates the imbalance impacts without introducing extra adjustment over-heads.

the simultaneous transmission and reception technology plays a crucial role in sensor tag technologies similar to radio-frequency identification (RFID), which have simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT). this technology allows for the simultaneous transmission and reception of information on the same frequency, or the simultaneous power supply and reception of messages. On the reader side, the transmitter and receiver must have high isolation to avoid self-interference caused by the transmitter. Sufficient sensitivity is required for a long reading distance. Using a circulator as a duplexer, In-Band Full-Duplex operates. Although the circulator transmits and receives signals simultaneously, it has insufficient isolation. In addition, reflections caused by imperfect antenna matching also interfere with the receiver. Since the reflection signal of the antenna and the leakage signal of the circulator are at a similar power level, we designed an impedance adjustment circuit to adjust the amplitude and phase of the reflection signal at the antenna end to counteract the self-interference signal of the circulator for self-interference elimination. Unlike the traditional pi-type impedance adjustment circuit with three variables, the proposed impedance adjustment circuit has two variables to adjust the impedance of the antenna in the range of voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of less than 3. A micro controller is used to automatically find the best result. the experimental results showed that the isolation at 2.45 GHz was 74 dB with which IoT sensor tag readers had power supply and communication in 5 m.

the wireless sensor network (WSN) has been gaining attraction in all fields. the range of sensors integrated into related applications is exploding. In fact, the future is moving towards the Internet of things (IoT) and it is predicable to need deploying billions of sensors for monitoring. Such considerable amount of connected devices must offer efficient services for diverse applications. this vision directly depends on the efficiency of WSN protocols. In this way, our idea is to enhance the medium access scheme exploiting typical Medium Access Control (MAC) protocols. We propose a flexible hybrid MAC protocol that combines contention and scheduling aspects. It is designed to overcome traffic changes constraints, especially emergency cases. To achieve our goals, we join Career Sense Multiple Access / Collision Avoidance (CSMA/CA) and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) behaviors, and we adapt the channel access strategy according to traffic priorities. Such access scheme permits to guarantee transmitting urgent data efficiently.
