In this paper, we consider the stability of limit regimes for a general class of nonlinear distributed mathematical models named Reaction-Diffusion models. RD systems naturally arise in many applications. For instance, in the biological mathematical modeling and in the signal transmission theory the FitzHugh–Nagumo model, whose distributed variant is a particular case of general RD system, is widely used. We investigate the problem of stability of attracting sets for an infinite-dimensional RD system with respect to bounded external signals (disturbances). the interaction functions as well as nonlinear perturbations do not assume to be Lipschitz continuous. therefore, we cannot expect the uniqueness of solution for the corresponding initial-value problem and we have to use a multi-valued semigroup approach. An undisturbed system is considered to have a global attractor, i.e., the minimal compact uniformly attracting set. the main purpose is to estimate the deviation of the trajectory of the disturbed system from the global attractor of the undisturbed one as a function of the magnitude of external signals. Such an estimate can be obtained in the framework of the theory of input-to-state stability (ISS). the paper proposes a new approach to obtaining estimates of robust stability of the attractor in the case of a multivalued evolutionary operator. In particular, it is proved that the multivalued semigroup generated by weak solutions of a nonlinear reaction-diffusion system has the property of local ISS with respect to the attractor of the undisturbed system.

Proper planning and optimal resource allocation of distribution systems during an electrical fault or an extreme-event can enhance their resiliency and ensure their stable operation with maximum customer survivability. this paper presents a graph-theory-based approach for subdividing Active Distribution Networks (ADNs) into different clusters considered as Micro-Grids (MGs), with a focus on improving their resiliency. A case study on a modified ieee 34-bus distribution system, including wind and solar photovoltaic (PV) distributed generation (DG), shows that with the proposed graph-theory based clustering and MG formation algorithm, the system's resiliency is improved, and when necessary, using demand response, the system operational constraints are maintained at the desired level.

this paper presents a user-friendly design method for accurately sizing the distributed energy resources of a stand-alone microgrid to meet the critical load demands of a military, commercial, industrial, or residential facility when the utility power is not available. the microgrid combines renewable resources such as photovoltaics (PV) with an energy storage system to increase energy security for facilities with critical loads. the design tool's novelty includes compliance with ieee standards 1562 and 1013 and addresses resilience, which is not taken into account in existing design methods. Several case studies, simulated with a physics-based model, validate the proposed design method. Additionally, the design and the simulations were validated by 24-hour laboratory experiments conducted on a microgrid assembled using commercial off the shelf components.

In this paper, we present the results of research on the design and development of a gas analytical unit, an electronic nose, with an autonomous power supply, as well as the function of wireless data transmission via the Long-Range Wide Area Networks protocol. We built the device on a circuit board featuring eight gas sensors (MQ series), an STM32F103C8T6 microcontroller with 12-bit analog-to-digital conversion, a RAK3172 wireless data transmission module, voltage dividers, and a USB serial adapter. It also has an HDC2080DMBR temperature and humidity sensor. We evaluated the electronic nose performance towards standard mixtures of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, ammonia, and hydrogen sulfide, which are important analytes in outdoor and indoor air quality monitoring. Multidimensional linear regression methods were employed to build calibration curves for electronic nose sensors, which allowed for converting the measured sensor responses into quantitative values of the concentrations of the analyzed substances. the estimated coefficients of determination, R2, approach 1 indicating a strong correlation between the approximating model and the original data. the multivariate chemiresistive responses were successfully clustered using the k-means algorithm, revealing clear distinctions between sensor data associated with different gas concentrations. the k-NN classifier, applied to the clustered data, achieved 100% accuracy in identifying gas concentrations, underscoring the potential of the proposed methodology for gas sensing applications. We proposed and implemented the architecture of a network of mobile gas analyzers as the Internet of things devices for environmental monitoring using the VK Cloud Platform.

Optical fiber cables (OFC) are well known for their use in communications. they offer long distance and fast transmission rate capabilities. OFC are the perfect companion of hydrocarbon and water transport system as part of the physical layer of the communication services and SCADA of the operating companies. As an example, the TGP system has more than 1400 km of cables laid in its Right-of-Way (ROW) which are in use since the beginning of its operation in 2004. More recently OFC started to be used as sensors. In such applications, a communication cable (CC) can be turned into a continuous temperature sensor allowing for leak and erosion detection. A strain monitoring cable (SMC) can also be spliced to the CC for landslide and subsidence detection in selected areas. In the case of very large soil displacement, it is common to observe the strain induced on the CC. From what precedes, existing OFC infrastructures can be taken advantage of to retrofit pipelines with monitoring instrumentation. the current work describes how an existing CC is retrofitted to provide information about the TGP transport system's integrity. When accurate monitoring of a landslide is required, a dedicated sensing cable is installed locally and connected to the CC. Elsewhere the CC is being measured to detect and locate events as erosion or landslide in position where the geohazard risk present lower probability. Such approach not only improves geohazard risk management, but it also indicates early sign of stress on the cable that can lead to its rupture, mitigating service interruption probability.

the protection scheme represents a challenge for different modes of operation. the same relay has multi settings that need to change accordingly with the mode of operation. the main reason for the challenge is the continuous change in the operations of the distributed Generations. In order to increase the resiliency of the system, a co-simulation platform based on multiagent system and a battery are connected to the microgrid system. DDS is used as a middle-ware between the physical and cyber parts in the system. the main advantages of the suggested system are:- the settings of the protective relays are not changed at different modes, and the protection scheme cost is low as the battery is already used to feed the pulsed load. the results indicate a smooth interaction to flow the information between cyber and physical parts.

Research has been carried out to monitor vehicle tires before they are used and can reduce damage, including overcoming vehicle fuel waste because air pressure is continuously monitored. this research aims to utilize the MPX5500DP sensor as an air pressure device, the LM35 sensor as a temperature reader, and a buzzer based on IoT to build a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). the MPX5500DP and LM35 sensor inputs to the Arduino Uno microcontroller are distributed by the NodeMCU, fitted with a Wi-Fi module. the Blynk application sends and displays the data on a smartphone using the IoT-based. Based on this research, data on the percentage of errors in monitoring air pressure and tire temperature on vehicles were obtained by comparing the data to the pressure gauge and thermometer: 1—the results of the average reading of the sensor error value. MPX5500DP air pressure against pressure gauge is 5.3%. 2—the average reading of the LM35 sensor error value on the temperature thermometer is 6.8%. With this research, the air pressure and temperature in the tires can be monitored in real-time via a smartphone using the IoT-based.

In this paper, the frequency dependences of the capacitance of the multilayer structure of matrix sensors with thick layers of porous semiconductor in vacuum and gas medium (hydrogen, carbon dioxide) are studied, it is determined that in vacuum the capacitance changes little with frequency variation. When the sensor is moved to the environment of H2 or CO2 with a concentration of 100 to 10000ppm C(f), the characteristics of the matrix sensor shift towards high capacitance values, and with increasing concentration, the capacitance is weakly dependent on frequency in the low frequency region and changes significantly at 103 Hz. the higher the concentration, the more high-frequency region shifts the area of sharp increase in capacitance. A method of processing signals from porous matrix sensors is also proposed, which is characterized by the use of polyharmonic power supply with a tuned set of frequencies, which allows to reduce the capacitance of the measured structure to the capacitance of the porous semiconductor layer and directly measure the dielectric constant of the porous layer. An important feature of the method is the use of a wide range of frequencies (102–106 Hz), at which the change in C(w), due to adsorption of gases, and takes into account only slow processes of current transfer in the gas-sensitive semiconductor material, which determines the corresponding change in the elements of the equivalent electrical circuit, including CPE.

Wireless sensor network (WSN) is spatially distributed sensor for monitoring and recording the physical conditions of the environment. the organization of distributed sensor is essential for industrial, building, and agriculture. However, Creating systems for separately placed sensor nodes which gather and share data are complicated. Here we show the develop of IoT edge hub based on docker containers for Wireless sensor networks. the Edge hub is a lightweight system for real-Time monitoring which is consist of broker, storage, rule engine and visualization. the Internet of things (IoT) and wireless sensor network Internet of things (IoT) and wireless sensor network are combined in an edge hub for data transmission in global and local area network. Furthermore, the edge hub using docker containers and deployed using Docker Swarm-based orchestration. we have implemented an edge hub prototype based on docker container. Our discuss the prototype implementation of edge hub for efficient environmental management in the building from environment data. © 2020 ieee.
