Wireless sensor Network (WSN) comprises of numerous cheap and low power operated sensor nodes. the sensor nodes are randomly deployed in harsh environment which is highly energy constrained in nature. Clustering is an energy efficient technique which groups the nodes into a number of clusters. Each cluster holds a separate Cluster Head (CH) where the data will be transmitted to other nodes present in the cluster. the major issue in the clustering process is the identification of proper CHs with respect to several constraints like energy, distance, node degree and so on. In recent days, several bio-inspired optimization algorithms have been presented to select the CHs properly. this paper assesses the performance of two optimization algorithms namely Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) algorithms based clustering techniques in WSN. the compared PSO and GWO algorithm has been simulated under a network of 100 sensor nodes in the target area of *** investigation of the outcome of these algorithms takes place under several aspects. © 2020 ieee.

In this paper we propose a different strategy to produce a 24-hours ahead PV power forecasts. the main idea consists in developing a set of simple univariate models based on Least square Support Vector Regression (LsSVR), each of the developed models will forecast the PV power of each 30 minutes of the next day. To compare LsSVR results and also to demonstrate the generic aspect of the proposed strategy, we use the Feed Forward Neural Network (FFNN) as benchmark model. We provide a comprehensive evaluation of the proposed approach using publicly available PV power database from Ausgrid utility.

the autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) technique, which was widely used in various scenes, has become one of the research hotspots in recent years. this paper applies a distributed model predicted control (DMPC) approach for cooperative diving control of multi-AUV systems with bounded control input and state constraints. Within the DMPC framework, each AUV exchanges assumed state trajectories with neighbors and solves a local open-loop constrained optimization problem to obtain the optimal control input. the effectiveness of the method is validated in three simulation scenarios. © 2020 ieee.

Inter-frame encoding is an integral technology in modern video codec design, used to achieve high compression efficiency by reducing temporal redundancy. An important step in inter-frame encoding is the temporal prediction loop, involving computationally expensive block-matching algorithms. When the video server is concerned with customer Quality of Service for on demand or live-streaming, the encoder is the appropriate location for most of the compression computation to enable low client decoding time. However, emerging use-cases such as Wireless Video sensor Networks (WVSNs) and remote surveillance present new technical challenges in compression. For these scenarios, the video capture device may be power-constrained with limited resources, and it is better that the computational burden fall on resource rich decoders/transcoders available at data centres. In this paper, we present a video coding scheme with low encoding complexity that passes the computational burden to the decoder. Bit-rate reduction is achieved by removing Chroma information from specific frames and then re-colouring them at the decoder using a technique called Motion Compensated Recolouring (MCR). MCR can reduce bit-rate by as much 16% compared to Intra-only video coding, with only a slight drop in objective quality. We also demonstrate that MCR out-performs other Chroma prediction techniques at higher quality and for videos with complex motion. © 2020 ieee.

In recent years there has been a substantial increase in the number of outdoor lighting installations, the energy management of this has not been greatly improved and electricity consumption has skyrocketed. Most of it does not come from renewable energies with all the negative effects that this entails. With all this, public lighting can represent up to a total of 54% of the energy consumption of a municipality and up to 61% of its electricity consumption. this work focuses on the analysis of the factors to consider in the implementation and application of a lighting control system in a real environment for energy saving. the system should be based on the collection of data by the different sensors installed in the luminaries of the route oriented to the environment of the Smart Cities and the Intelligent Transport systems (ITS). the main objective is to try to reduce the consumption of electrical energy as much as possible while maintaining the comfort that the road user feels in it. For this, the weak points of these systems will be searched and their elimination will be sought. A study will be made of the situation of the systems available today. the characteristics of these systems will be analysed. Based on the characteristics of the systems analysed, the necessary requirements of the system presented will be determined. the characteristics that will make this project different from the rest will be established. An architecture proposal that seeks to optimise the parameters analysed will be presented.

Blockchain consensus algorithms are generally used to ensure data consistency in the blockchain. the current blockchain consensus algorithm has some problems, such as high computing resource consumption, slow block generation speed and difficulty in dealing with malicious node and failure node, which lead to the uncertainty of authenticity of new blocks and trading transaction delay. In view of these problems, we firstly turn the question into solving the problems of electing the one node to keep ledger while ensuring the correctness of ledger information and then synchronize the distributed ledger among most nodes. we propose a consensus algorithm named ENET (Evil Node Elimination Tree) using single chain blockchain structure, with integrating Boyer-Moore majority vote algorithm ensuring the correctness of all new generated blocks. A bottom-up promotion approach to election was adopted to gradually eliminate evil nodes, meanwhile the structure of elimination tree of evil nodes is being constructed. In addition, the distributed synchronization mechanism of top-down update is adopted to recursively update the distributed ledger of all nodes. theoretical derivation and computer multithreading simulation results show that the communication complexity of this algorithm is at a linear level, and the fault tolerance ratio is 1/4 at the lowest and 3/4 at the highest. the transaction duration is significantly shortened while the double payment problem is eliminated in the system.

Wireless rechargeable sensor networks (WRSN) can prolong the lifetime of wireless sensor networks (WSN). In WRSN, mobile charger (MC) is used to charge low-power sensor node (SN). How to plan an efficient charging path for MC is a NP-hard problem. the task is to plan a path for MC that can not only charge the SN requesting charging in time, but also reduce the driving distance, so as to reduce the energy loss of MC. In this paper, policy gradient path planning (PGPP) algorithm based on deep reinforcement learning is proposed to solve this problem. In PGPP, the SNs in WRSN are treated as the environment, and the base station and MC are seen as the sensors and actuators of the agent. A reward function which can measure the energy efficiency of MC is designed, and the policy gradient algorithm is used to learn the strategy. Simulation experiments show that compared with other MC charging path planning algorithms, PGPP algorithm has certain advantages in the speed of path planning and the energy efficiency of WRSN.

Energy Internet (EI) has drawn increasingly interests in related industries. the implement of EI is a milestone on the road-map to promote the revolution of both energy production and consumption, which is important to achieve sustainable energy development. this paper investigates the possibility on establishing the EI by integrating application-level intelligent management system with traditional energy grid in neighbourhood scale. As a new energy utilisation model, EI realises the deep integration between energy industry and information and communications technology (ICT) in order to optimise regional energy management and optimal dispatch. With the support of Internet of things technology and big data technology, this system plays an important role in coordinating management and scheduling while realising the interaction between market entities and end-users at the same time. this paper reviews and conducts in-depth research on the background, concept and technical model of EI, and also discusses the implementation of EI in a practical industrial parks. © 2020 ieee.

In this paper, we focus on a self-adaptive network reconstruction problem in a distributed multi-agent system. In this system, the relationship among agents forms a complex network, in which each agent plays two roles, task execution and communication. As agents move, the topology of the relationship changes, which could reduce the system's performance. To guarantee the performance, we design a local centrality for evaluating the vitality of nodes in the network, and propose a distributed re-construction algorithm (DRA) based on the local centrality for re-constructing the dynamic network. To test the efficiency of DRA, we integrate DRA into our former proposed dynamic task allocation algorithm to form a new dynamic task allocation algorithm. the experiment shows that our new improved algorithm performs more efficiently when compared to other dynamic task allocation algorithms. the results illustrate the efficiency of reconstructed dynamic complex networks, which also indicates that the local centrality preforms efficient. Finally, we replace the local centrality with degree centrality and LocalRank in DRA and execute a series of experiments for performance evaluation. the results demonstrate the high efficiency of LC. © 2020 ieee.
