the previous two decades have been seen the interest has risen considerably for developing solution to improve the performance of power system in optimal energy consumption and energy management. the behaviour of the consumer conception is entirely based on the strategies of DRP-Demand response programs. In this research work, Hybrid Demand Response Program (DRP) is developed by utilising Time of use (ToU) and incentive based programs to reduce peak over load and cost of energy. To overcome the demand in the load, A hybrid renewable energy system using solar photo voltaic system and energy storage system has been proposed withoptimal sizing of distributed Generation (DG). Based on our findings, we concluded that a hybrid demand response program integrated with HRES reduced peak demand by 5% to 8%, leading to an overall reduction in energy costs through the use of heuristic optimization techniques. © 2024 ieee.

Modern smart sensor-based energy management systems leverage non-intrusive load monitoring (NILM) to predict and optimize appliance load distribution in real-time. NILM, or energy disaggregation, refers to the decomposition of electricity usage conditioned on the aggregated power signals (i.e., smart sensor on the main channel). Based on real-time appliance power prediction using sensory technology, energy disaggregation has great potential to increase electricity efficiency and reduce energy expenditure. With the introduction of transformer models, NILM has achieved significant improvements in predicting device power readings. Nevertheless, transformers are less efficient due to O(l2) complexity w.r.t. sequence length l. Moreover, transformers can fail to capture local signal patterns in sequenceto-point settings due to the lack of inductive bias in local context. In this work, we propose an efficient localness transformer for non-intrusive load monitoring (ELTransformer). Specifically, we leverage normalization functions and switch the order of matrix multiplication to approximate self-attention and reduce computational complexity. Additionally, we introduce localness modeling with sparse local attention heads and relative position encodings to enhance the model capacity in extracting short-term local patterns. To the best of our knowledge, ELTransformer is the first NILM model that addresses computational complexity and localness modeling in NILM. With extensive experiments and quantitative analyses, we demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of the the proposed ELTransformer with considerable improvements compared to state-of-the-art baselines.

Traditional Rocker-Bogie systems, while robust for navigating uneven terrains, often face limitations in maneuverability and directional agility, restricting their deployment in complex environments. this paper presents an innovative integration of the Rocker-Bogie mechanism with Mecanum wheels, aimed at overcoming these limitations. the hybrid design combines the omnidirectional properties of Mecanum wheels with the terrain adaptation of the Rocker-Bogie system to provide improved maneuverability and multidirectional mobility. this research shows that the hybrid system provides better agility and positional precision than traditional setups through kinematic analysis. Mecanum wheels solve particular problems that normal Rocker-Bogie systems cannot, such as the requirement for lateral and rotational movements in confined places. An extensive mathematical model is offered to verify the enhanced mobility and stability, signifying a noteworthy progression in the realm of robotic movement. © 2024 ieee.

Metal detection is a critical component of maintaining quality and safety standards in the textile sector. Metal fragments pose significant risks to fabric manufacturing equipment, such as cotton rollers, as well as to worker safety and the integrity of the finished product. Metal contaminants can inadvertently enter the manufacturing process and embed themselves in textiles or become trapped in clothing, leading to expensive equipment failures, defective products, and potential consumer risks. To mitigate these hazards and maintain manufacturing standards, a reliable metal detection system is essential. the proposed metal detection system incorporates a sensor positioned across the clothing, which utilizes a relay mechanism to abruptly halt the machine, activate a corresponding LED, and send a Wi-Fi notification to a mobile device when metal is detected. this enables workers to promptly remove the metal parts and inspect the affected clothing. After removing the metal, the machine can be restarted to resume operations. Beyond detecting metal contaminants, the system takes proactive measures to prevent potential harm or damage. By employing electromagnetic-based sensor modules, the system can identify approaching metal objects and initiate a relay mechanism to halt mechanical operations and alert workers. this proactive approach not only protects valuable tools and product quality but also emphasizes the commitment to a safe workplace and the well-being of staff members. © 2024 ieee.

distributed Generators (DG) are the formation of multi-source micro grid in a single architecture. the DGs are designed to regulate the voltage, current and frequency as per to the power requirement observed from the load terminals. the design of an optimum control strategy will improve the performance of the DG to certain extent. the proposed work forms a DG control system in a Matlab/Simulink simulation setup with PV, fuel cell (PEMFC) and Ultra-Capacitor for providing a reliable and regulated output to a power grid. the PV system employed in the work is equipped with an MPPT algorithm for supplying maximum power to the connected system. Also to overcome the intermittent nature of the PV cells, the work employs an ultra-capacitor and PEMFC. the ultra- capacitor regulates the output by addressing against the thermodynamic effect of the PEMFC. the system has a control strategy with a power electronic based interfacing circuit along with controller setups for maintaining the power quality. Hence the permitted voltage and frequency level of the grid system is maintained by the DG. © 2024 ieee.

In this paper, we consider the problem of using a drone to collect information within orchards in order to detect bugs. An orchard can be modeled as an aisle-graph, which is a regular data structure formed by consecutive aisles where trees are arranged in a straight line. For monitoring the presence of bugs, a drone flies close to the trees and takes videos and/or pictures that will be analyzed offline. As the drone's energy is limited, only a subset of locations in the orchard can be visited with a fully charged battery. those places that are most likely to be infested should be selected to promptly detect the parasite. We study the budgeted constrained position selection problem in the orchard from an algorithmic point of view. We present the Single-drone Orienteering Aisle-graph Problem (SOAP), a variant of the well-known orienteering problem where the finite resource is the drone's battery. We first show that SOAP can be optimally solved for aisle-graphs in polynomial time. However, the optimal solution is not efficient for large orchards. then, we propose two efficient heuristics that work even for large (orchard) instances. After a thorough analysis of the proposed solutions, we evaluate their performance by simulation experiments on both synthetic and real data sets.

With the development of network society, individuals and enterprises generate massive data every day. However, the traditional relational MySQL database has poor performance in storing and processing massive data. In the case of huge amount of data, MySQL may even crash, which obviously cannot meet the needs of massive data storage. Obviously, with more and more emphasis on user-friendliness, the storage and processing application of massive data determine the future development of enterprises. this paper discusses the storage engine, high concurrency, architecture and distributed cluster of HBase, and then compares the performance differences between MySQL and HBase optimized with Bloom filter(Bloom HBase) on Linux platform. © 2021 ieee.

Internet of things (IoT) devices are the weak link in organizing a Wireless sensor Network. Various Attacks on IoT devices can lead to different complex consequences. Real applications of the IoT generate a large amount of data every second, the confidentiality of which is of very high value. therefore, detecting attacks in IoT interactions is of paramount interest from both science and industry. Among various attack detection approaches, machine learning methods show great potential due to their early detection ability. the paper presents a methodology for detecting attacks based on two machine learning methods: Random Forest (RF) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN). To conduct the experiment, various data sets were considered, the descriptions of which are given in the work. the experiment was carried out using open data sets obtained from real IoT devices. As a result, RF demonstrated a high accuracy of 98.6%. © 2024 ieee.

With the rapid development of intelligent manufacturing technology, Wireless sensor Networks have been widely implemented in increasingly more industries, while gradually getting mature. However, the topology control ability and power consumption have limited their scale and performance for a long time. therefore, in order to improve the robustness of their network structures and prolong their life cycles, this study explores Energy Network Topology Control based on Power Optimization. A topology structure model of an Energy Network was established based on the graph theory, and certain indicators of network connectivity and energy consumption were adopted as objective functions. Eventually, the problem was transformed into a multi-objective combinational optimization issue. Based on the characters of energy harvesting wireless sensor network, this study also proposed a new distributed Hybird Strategy Grey Wolf Optimizer algorithm (DHS-GWO). the design of the distributed architecture and addition of parallel search operators greatly improved the solving speed and operation quality of the original GWO algorithm. A distributed protocol was designed to eliminate the conflicts generated in the process of distributed decisions and generate a quasi-global solution. Experimental results proved the effectiveness and competitiveness of the proposed method in terms of performance and running speed. In numerical experiments, the running time of DHS-GWO is decreased by 81.5% on average, and the transmitting power consumption of DHS-GWO is declined by 51.9% on average. © 2023 ieee.
