We present two algorithms in the Quantum CONGEST-CLIQUE model of distributed computation that succeed with high probability;one for producing an approximately optimal Steiner Tree, and one for producing an exact directed minimum spanning tree, each of which uses O(n1/4) rounds of communication and Õ(n9/4) messages, achieving a lower asymptotic round and message complexity than any known algorithms in the classical CONGEST-CLIQUE model. At a high level, we achieve these results by combining classical algorithmic frameworks with quantum subroutines. Additionally, we characterize the constants and logarithmic factors involved in our algorithms as well as related classical algorithms, otherwise obscured by O notation, revealing that advances are needed to render both the quantum and classical algorithms practical. © 2023 ieee.

Security is a significant challenge in both wired and wireless networks. Data security has recently become a major concern in wireless sensor networks, particularly when data is sent to other systems. Any active node in a wireless sensor network is either collecting information from other active nodes or sending data to other active nodes. this research is primarily concerned with security based on authentication and authorization processes using blockchain technology. Blockchain-based security includes an intelligent monitoring system that monitors all active nodes in the network that are transferring data. this research study intends to design and develop a probabilistic mathematical model to monitor the functioning of each node based on the network activities. this is monitored by the blockchain enabled intelligent monitoring system. In this study, the proposed method measures network performance using four performance metrics: Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR), Network Lifetime (NLT), Residual Energy (RE), and Detection Accuracy (DA). this research work is entirely based on blockchain-enabled wireless sensor network (WSN) security. © 2023 ieee.

Insulation performance of epoxy surface in GIS systems is influenced by the applied superimposed voltage of AC and overvoltage. the simultaneous measurement of the partial discharges (PDs) and applied voltage can help to evaluate the condition of GIS equipment more accurately. A novel composite sensor for PD UHF signals and overvoltage measurement is proposed to realize the simultaneous detection. the effective height of the composite sensor is calculated with FDTD model and the preliminary optimization is carried based on it. the effectiveness of the composite sensor is tested on an epoxy surface discharge model under of AC voltage, lightning impulse and superimposed voltage. Experiment results show that the extra PDs are excited by the superimposed LI and the proposed sensor is capable to detect the voltage waveform and PD signals under the superimposed condition. © 2023 ieee.

this paper considers a 6-dimensional fractional-order linear system equipped with a sensor network digraph containing 4 sensors. the objective is to develop a method for distributed state estimation. First, based on the assumption of strong connectivity, a compensation set is introduced to construct the transformation matrix. then, the relationship between the transformed state at each node and the transformed observable states of the 4 nodes is established. In the light of this relationship, 4 centralized fractional-order observers with dimensions smaller than 6, are employed to estimate the 4 observable states, thereby realizing distributed estimation. In the end, a numerical example is presented to verify the availability of the proposed method. © 2023 ieee.

Benefitting from the combination of the idea of pipeline with model parallelism and data parallelism, pipeline parallelism improves the efficiency of distributed deep learning systems significantly. However, suffering from the bubbles and gaps caused by the imbalance of different stages in pipeline, it can not output ideal performance yet. To explore the potential of pipeline parallelism further, we propose a novel approach called PipePrune, which adds a convolutional layer pruning strategy to pipeline creatively to reduce the bubbles and gaps. For the convolutional layers with heavy overheads, some unimportant kernels are pruned by the measurement of the L1-norm. this approach makes the processing overheads of different pipeline stages more balanced. the experimental results show that, compared with state-of-the-art pipeline methods, PipePrune can improve the training speeds obviously (e.g. for ResNet50 on ImageNet, about 30% speed improvement is realized with only 1.1% loss of training accuracies). © 2021 ieee.

Along with the growth of seismic observation networks, the amount of seismic observation data is also increasing rapidly with the form of fast arrival stream, and it is an important and challenging task to store seismic data in time. However, two bottlenecks (slow read/write speed, poor user concurrency) still make the practical applications difficult. We proposes an Apache Druid-based storage solution for seismic observation data streams. the solution is more adaptable to the read/write requirement of large-scale seismic data streams. Specifically, we achieve real-time observation for two aspects: (I) using Kafka as a distributed message exchange system;and (II) implementing accesses and exchange with massive seismic stream data onto the Kafka indexing service provided by Druid. the experimental results show that the Druid-based temporal data storage solution has better stream input and real-time query performance compared with the existed Hbase storage method. © 2021 ieee.

this paper introduces a game-theoretic framework aimed at enhancing offloading decisions within a network of multiple tethered aerial vehicles (TAVs) employed as communication base stations and relay platforms. Given their advantageous low deployment costs and extensive coverage areas, TAVs represent an innovative solution for dynamic air-ground communication networks. We address the inherent challenges associated with the mobility of ground users and consider across multiple temporal intervals. We initially segment offloading decisions into discrete time slots and model them within a strategic game principle. Subsequently, we prove that this game constitutes an exact potential game and introduce a distributed algorithm based on best response iteration. this algorithm is designed for decentralized deployment across individual tethered aerial vehicles. through simulation studies, we demonstrate that our proposed methodology enhances network throughput relative to conventional random offloading strategies. It advances the theoretical understanding of offloading in dynamic network environments and offers practical algorithms for real-world applications. © 2024 ieee.

distributed photovoltaic systems are a recently developed form of distributed power generation that offer the benefits of being both environmentally friendly and highly *** power demand continues to rise and the importance of protecting the environment becomes more evident, increasing distributed photovoltaic capacity has become an important development direction. To enable the distributed photovoltaic power generation system to efficiently connect to the power grid, this paper proposes a distributed photovoltaic power flow and information flow fusion method based on power line carrier communication technology. Power line carrier communication is categorized based on voltage levels, while low voltage PLC technology is classified based on its frequency band characteristics, it is divided into broadband PLC and narrowband PLC. To address random signal errors caused by the noise characteristics of OFDM multi-carrier modulation technology, an anti-interference channel coding approach is proposed. Additionally, this study focuses on the preprocessing of distributed photovoltaic information transmitted to the main station through HPLC, including data cleaning, integration, conversion, and protocol adaptation techniques, and the data is mined and analyzed to improve the intelligent level of distributed photovoltaic access to the power grid. © 2023 ieee.

Ensuring the safety of individuals should be a top priority. Everyone wants to return home safely. Many riders continue to disregard safety constraints, increasing the chance of accidents that result in death. It is critical to incorporate the latest technology into road monitoring systems to make cities smarter and to ensure rider safety. For this research, Deep Learning (DL) and the Internet of things (IoT) were chosen for effective road surveillance and alert systems. the primary goal of the study is to detect and inform riders about accidents that occur along their path and to provide details about the location of the detected accident. Additionally, the system provides the vehicle's speed. To identify automobile accidents in the footage, a hybrid DL model that includes Convolutional Neural Network-Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (CNN-Bi-LSTM) is suggested. For the model's training, both accident and non-Accident data were collected. the model is evaluated using three metrics: Accuracy, loss, and execution time. the next step is to upload the recommended model to the thingSpeak cloud. A Graphical User Interface (GUI) is being created in the thingSpeak cloud. the GUI displays the vehicle's speed, accident images, and the precise location of the accident scene using the Raspberry Pi, speed sensor, Pi-camera, and Global Positioning System (GPS) module. An LED is also integrated into the GUI to alert the user. A real-world test is conducted on the designed system. the proposed solution has many advantages and will ensure driver safety. © 2024 ieee.

Integrity of a train is a significant characteristic parameter towards a railway train control system in order to guarantee the railway operational safety. the decoupling event between a locomotive and a carriage or two adjacent carriages has become a serious threat for the following train operating along the same track. Conventional train integrity monitoring solutions based on state detection with specific sensors, like the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver and tail wind pressure unit, may not perform effectively and safely under constrained or difficult operation environments. this paper presents a Train Integrity Monitoring System (TIMS) architecture with integration of GNSS, Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and Ultra-wide Band (UWB) ranging technique. To realize the effective determination of the train integrity state with multiple detection channels, the fuzzy reasoning theory is adopted for decision-making. By using the simulated Head-of-Train (HoT) and End-of-Train (EoT) platforms, both the normal and decoupling scenarios are investigated through experiments. With the practically collected sensor datasets, the different single-sensor-based methods are compared with the presented fuzzy reasoning-based solution. the comparison results illustrate the advanced performance level under the given experimental conditions, which indicate great potentials of the presented solution in novel train control systems. © 2024 ieee.
