the paper proposes a new 1-φ Wind Energy Inverter which can be used for Wind Applications. the Proposed Inverter uses MMC topology so as to provide high efficiency, high power quality, and increased reliability. MMC topology has also other advantages such as low harmonic distortion, improved voltage balancing, and high voltage levels. the Wind Energy Inverter also has FACTS properties which regulates reactive and active power. the Inverter is installed in between wind turbines and the Power Grid. It converts incoming Direct Current from wind turbines to Alternating Current and maintains a target power factor, by regulating reactive power. Capacitor banks and external STATCOMS are no longer used, lowering the system's total cost. the suggested inverter's overall harmonic distortion is less than 5 percentage, which meets with ieee specifications. © 2023 ieee.

Node failure is one of the most typical issues in distributed storage systems. the classic fault-tolerance methods can meet the fault tolerance needs of systems deployed in edge storage, 5G IoT, and other high-performance data centers. However, mobile distributed systems contend with inconsistent network signals and relatively low bandwidth in weak network environments. the traditional fault-tolerance schemes have difficulty ensuring distributed storage and data repair simultaneously, posing a considerable challenge to data storage reliability. To address this problem, we proposed a hybrid fault-tolerance scheme based on potential replicas, called HFPR, which trades off storage overhead and performance for weak network mobile distributed storage systems. HFPR first stores data with the erasure code redundancy and then gradually increases data redundancy by reserving potential replicas, enabling the system to disperse network transmission pressure and reduce network transmission. To maximize replica utilization and control the storage overhead of potential replicas, we design a node state prediction mechanism and a file lifecycle management mechanism. Evaluation results show that, compared with the traditional hybrid fault-tolerant scheme with the same storage overhead, HFPR achieves better replica-level repair efficiency in data repair and a reduced probability of degraded reads by approximately 50%. During data distribution, HFPR can minimize data write amplification by up to 1.1× and additional network transfers by up to 77.5%. © 2022 ieee.

this study records the general perception of local residents on tourism industry at Nainital in Uttarakhand and highlights the major concerns of the local residents on the influx of tourists. the researchers conducted a perception analysis of the local residents and addressed issues like environmental threats, safety risks, traffic congestion, increased cost and inconvenience etc. and proposed a sensor model as a solution to the existing problem. It reviews the existing traditional method of data collection and management of the tourist inflow and suggests sensor technologies to maintain accuracy in footfall data collection for the regulation of the arrival and exit of tourists at Nainital. the current study highlights the need for footfall monitoring and management via footfall sensors. the researchers in the study recommend the selection and installation of sensor technological solution discussed in the study over the current system of footfall data collection done manually. the readily available footfall sensors will facilitate visitor analytics and enable an effective management of tourist inflow at Nainital. the data will help in framing policies by the local authorities to control the arrival of visitors at the destination. In future, it can also be implemented across other tourist places of Uttarakhand state. © 2023 ieee.

the more crucial process and one of the world's major consumers of water in agriculture is irrigation, which has been growing as a result of population growth and the resulting rise in demand for food. the irrigation system is one of the most important components of a system of agriculture. the crop's productivity will be directly influenced by the efficiency and applicability of the irrigation system. Water scarcity is one of the greatest challenges for an irrigation system. the efficient use of land, water, and energy resources depends on Internet of things (IoT)-based smart agriculture systems. In this article, a distributed data reduction and decision-making (DiDaReD) approach for IoT-based smart farming irrigation systems is proposed. the DiDaReD approach is implemented on two levels: sensor devices and edge gateway. At the sensor device level, we implemented a lightweight scoring method for removing the redundant collected soil moisture readings before sending them to the edge gateway. At the edge of the gateway, a voting technique is applied to the scores of received readings from sensor devices to produce a decision regarding irrigation of the monitored farming field according to the soil moisture state of this field. Finally, since the DiDaReD approach is periodic and works in real-time, we implement a decision reduction algorithm to prevent sending the same decision notifications to the actuator, thus saving the energy of the IoT network. Several experiments are implemented using real sensed data from the farming field, and the conducted results show that the proposed DiDaReD outperforms other methods in terms of data reduction ratio, number of sent readings, energy consumption, network lifetime, data integrity, decisions, and total energy consumed by the edge-gateway node. © 2023 ieee.

the Internet of things (IoT) offers a promising platform for developing mission-critical programs. However, these programs often depend on a centralised storage architecture, which poses significant challenges such as security, privacy, and a single point of failure. Recently, blockchain technology has emerged as a key component in IoT application development. Blockchain can address issues related to data privacy, security, and third-party dependence in IoT applications. Both individuals and communities can benefit from integrating blockchain with IoT. Nonetheless, a DDoS attack on a mining pool in 2017 exposed significant vulnerabilities in blockchain-enabled IoT systems. Additionally, the data generated by these programs is vast. Machine learning (ML) is an effective analytical tool that facilitates fully autonomous analysis and decision-making with large datasets. this research proposes a novel distributed intrusion detection system (IDS) utilising fog computing to detect DDoS attacks on mining pools in blockchain-enabled IoT networks, addressing the aforementioned challenges. It introduces an energy-efficient, decentralised, blockchain-based multi-mobile code-driven method for detecting internal threats in sensor node-powered IoT. the results indicate that the proposed approach outperforms existing alternatives. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Massive MIMO technology uses large arrays of antennas at the base station, often numbering in the low tens to hundreds, to greatly increase capacity, diversity, and spectral efficiency. Nevertheless, these benefits are contingent upon the receiver's ability to precisely get channel state information (CSI) for both downlink as well as uplink channels. Pilot sequences are usually supplied and used by the recipient to identify the CSI. the more transmit antennas used in the massive MIMO system, the more pilot sequences are required. this requirement for lengthy pilot sequences can lead to lower spectral efficiency and introduces an issue known as pilot contamination, which occurs when pilot sequences are reused in neighboring *** effectiveness of semi-blind estimation approach, the Cramer-Rao bounds (CRB's) for this method of estimation of channel have been calculated for both stochastic and deterministic (Gaussian) data symbol models. By studying how the CRBs change as the number of antennas at the base station increases, insights into the asymptotic performance of massive MIMO systems are gained. Numerical analyses highlight the advantages of the semi-blind estimation technique, particularly in terms of reduced mean squared error. Additionally, as number of antennas grows, the Expectation Maximization (EM) technique performs similarly to the maximum likelihood estimator with genie assistance, assuming that the data symbols are known. © 2024 ieee.

Substation as an important part of the power system, with the power system in the "two alternatives"promotion and application. In the past, the staff needed to patrol the power equipment in the substation, which is gradually replaced by substation inspection robot. In order to ensure the safe, stable and reliable operation of the substation, a stable, reliable and strong substation inspection robot is needed. As a key technology of robot operation, autonomous navigation of robot has become a research hotspot. the traditional robot navigation method based on laser radar single sensor has the problems of yaw, lost, poor accuracy and poor environmental adaptability in complex scenes. In order to improve the stability and accuracy of navigation, this paper proposes a multi-sensor fusion positioning and navigation algorithm based on Beidou RTK and 3D lidar. the Beidou RTK positioning terminal, 3D Lidar, IMU and odometer sensors carried by the robot are used, and the extended Kalman filter algorithm is used to fuse the data of each sensor. the algorithm integrates the positioning advantages of each sensor and outputs the fused positioning information, which effectively improves the stability and accuracy of robot navigation. the algorithm is portable and suitable for legged robots. the experimental results show that the distance deviation is better than 5cm, and the Angle deviation is less than 1°. It can meet the positioning accuracy requirements of the robot in the complex substation environment and improve the use effect of the robot. © 2023 ieee.

Nowadays, data parallelism has been widely applied to train large datasets on distributed deep learning clusters, but it has suffered from costly global parameter updates at batch barriers. Performance imbalance among worker instances, introduced by uneven workload partitioning or biased resource allocation, can cause straggly workers, which can lead to severe impacts on both training speed and result accuracy. this paper studies the issue focusing on the tradeoff between training speed and result accuracy. We propose Cooperate Grouping Parallel (CGP), a hybrid parameter update solution that allows the flexibility of both synchronous and asynchronous update schemes. We introduce a novel Cooperate Worker Grouping Problem (CWGP) that seeks a task grouping configuration that leads to maximum model accuracy and holds customized training speed guarantees. We propose an evolution-based Pareto local searching algorithm to compute efficient worker grouping configurations. Comprehensive evaluation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of CGP under both persistent and fluctuant imbalances. the proposed method alleviates the imbalance impacts without introducing extra adjustment over-heads. © 2022 ieee.

the STM32F103C6T6A, also called the "Blue Pill"is a low-cost machine with 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 RISC core designed by STMicroelectronics for beginners to build and test prototypes [8]. It is intended to use this development board for the simulation of a Bandpass Filter. To simulate a filter, the internal timer [4] clock of the board has been utilised which helps in generating signals of any frequency by manipulating the values of the Auto-Reload Register (ARR) and the Prescaler (PSC) [4]. the principle behind this filter replication is based on the frequency ratio. When the timer generates an input signal of a particular frequency, the ratio of the frequency of the timer clock to the frequency of the generated signal is calculated. If the ratio comes under the permissible value, the signal is acquired. If not, the signal experiences attenuation. Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) is an application of timer [9] which generates a PWM signal whose duty cycle can be adjusted using the Compare-Capture Register (CCR).the results are observed by generating PWM signals of passband and stopband frequencies with a constant duty cycle of 50%. Suppose the input signal is in the range of passband frequency, it would be indicated by a green Light Emitting Diode (LED), after which the signal is allowed without attenuation. If not, a red LED glows indicating that the frequency belongs to Stopband frequency, and gets attenuated. the designed band pass filter is used for developing a sensor for pest management and detection using its frequency. © 2024 ieee.

At present, Mobile Wireless sensor Network (MWSN) systems are extensively used in remote monitoring and act as a central point for data transmission in large scale sensor networks. Due to the advancement in MWSN systems, security is a major concern for sensor nodes due physical constraints and high vulnerability attacks. the decision making with regard to data transmission and packet delivery is based on two stages of classification, i.e. normal transmission or attack injected transmission. Various Intrusion Detection approaches and classification methods are available to decrease the feature dimensionality for enhanced classification. this work anticipates a method for feature selection and classification of attacks in MWSN using NSL KDD dataset. Initially, Fisher Scored Cuckoo Search Optimization (FSCSO) algorithm is anticipated for selecting the finest features. Secondly, ReliefF-based Kernel Probability Estimation model (RKPEM) updates the position of each node to generate a mesh specifying the optimal features. Labels in dataset are utilized for recognizing the difference among a set of labelled training features and testing feature sets. From the obtained classification outcome, the severity of attack is identified, and prevented. If attack is not recognized then it is updated in the dataset. the periodic identification of attack type and dataset updation increases the chances of detection rate effectively. the proposed method is simulated in MATLAB software and it worked well in terms of accuracy than the existing techniques. © 2024 ieee.
