Accurate short-term load forecasting is greatly important for the planning, operation and optimization of Integrated Energy System (IES). In previous studies, they generally ignore the periodic pattern over a long span and fail to learn the interdependence of different loads sufficiently. To address these problems, a novel deep distributed fusion CNN-stacked GRU-XGBoost model (DCGX) is proposed. the coupling of multienergy loads are explored by the deep distributed fusion architecture, which is capturing the inner relationship among them by using the fusion of characteristics. Besides, the CNN-stacked GRU module is to get the short-term local dependency and long-term pattern characteristic in the first level information extraction. After that the short-long timescales information is merged and extracted by XGBoost to a greater extent in the second level. Finally, different comparison models' studies are carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness and accuracy of DCGX model by a publicly available real dataset about IES.

Internet of things (IoT) Wearable technology plays a crucial role in assisting the diagnosis of Parkinson's disease (PD), and an efficient model for auxiliary diagnosis of the severity of PD can help reduce the workload for doctors. However, due to the influence of data collection environments and annotators, noisy label data is inevitable, which may have a negative impact on modeling the severity of PD. To address the above challenges, on the one hand, we collected a large number of activity signal data of Parkinson's patients in free-living environments, and on the other hand, we proposed an efficient PD stage assessment framework, which includes a noisy label processing method to alleviate the noisy label negative impact. Specifically, we collected signal data from 15 healthy controls and 68 PD patients through 12 activities, and then we proposed a framework for noisy label detection and correction. the experimental results on real PD data sets demonstrated that the proposed framework achieve 75.9% accuracy in PD stage assessment and significantly improve the classification performance of different types of basic classifiers, which is better than other noisy label detection algorithms and other PD stage assessment frameworks. Overall, in this work, we focus on modeling PD severity in free-living environments using a single wearable sensor and reducing the negative impact of noisy label data to better help PD patients manage the disease. © 2023 ieee.

In the recent years, the automatous operation of the shipboard power system (SPS) has gained a lot of attention from both academia and industrial researchers as one of the most promising prospects for the transformational control development of the new generation electric ships. In this paper, a distributed hybrid control framework based on the concept of Model Integrated computing (MIC) is proposed to solve the reconfigurable problem of SPS. the hybrid automaton model for SPS is developed under this framework and extended to an automaton which consists of normal system operation configuration and fault configuration. the reconfigurability of SPS is then defined as an indicator if the SPS can 1) remain in the safe operation region under fault configuration, or 2) have the chance to return to the normal operation configuration after fault occurs. A complete set of criteria to evaluate the proposed reconfigurability is derived. Finally a practical example of SPS operating in battle mode after a fault is used to illustrate the process to analysis the reconfigurability during system operation under the proposed framework.

To solve the problems of limited energy and hard to replace the battery in underwater wireless sensor networks, a routing plan, as well as an energy balancing strategy is proposed to charge the underwater sensor nodes by autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV). Based on the building of the flow balance constraint model and the power consumption model, an energy cycle optimization model is proposed to maximize the ratio of the break time to the total time of the AUV in one cycle, and the simulated annealing algorithm is used to solve the optimal path of the AUV. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can extend the network lifetime while balancing the energy. 1 © 2022 ieee.

this paper presents a humidity sensor consisting of a two-port piezoelectric bulk wave resonator and a uniform layer of graphene oxide (GO) film, aiming for the applications of human-machine interaction. With the help of the hydrophilic GO film, the sensor possesses high sensitivity (195 Hz/%RH with an operating frequency of 10.5 MHz) and low hysteresis (less than 3%RH) to environmental humidity changes. Meanwhile, the humidity response of the sensor is rapid, highly repeatable and stable, which endows the sensor a fast and accurate response to the approach of a human finger. Moreover, by leveraging the different reactions of the sensor to the finger approaching and staying for various lengths of time, the noncontact information input can be realized in the form of Morse code.

the microstructure and electrical properties of biocompatible polyether-carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) materials were studied using the methods of optical microscopy, fractal analysis and impedance spectroscopy. the effect of non-covalent modification of carbon nanotubes using polyethylene glycol (PEG) of different molecular weight on the degree of their distribution in the polymer matrix was studied. It was determined that for systems containing modified MWCNTs, a higher value of the fractal dimension is observed, which indicates the formation of looser MWCNT aggregates, while unmodified MWCNTs show a tendency to form denser aggregates. It was found that the value of the fractal dimension for functionalized MWCNTs is close to 3, which indicates a uniform distribution of MWCNTs. It was established that the modifier based on PEG-10000 exerts the highest stabilizing effect. At the same time, MWCNTs are most evenly distributed throughout the volume of the material. It is found that obtained materials based on modified MWCNTs have relatively high level of electrical conductivity. this value makes such materials perspective for use in electrochemical sources. © 2023 ieee.

As the current detection solutions of distributed denial of service attacks (DDoS) need additional infrastructures to handle high aggregate data rates, they are not suitable for sensor networks or the internet of things. Besides, the security architecture of software-defined sensor networks needs to pay attention to the vulnerabilities of both software-defined networks and sensor networks. In this paper, we propose a networka-ware automated machine learning (AutoML) framework, which detects DDoS attacks in software-defined sensor networks. Our framework selects an ideal machine learning algorithm to detect DDoS attacks in network-constrained environments, using the metrics such as variable traffic load, heterogeneous traffic rate, and detection time while preventing over-fitting. Our contributions are two-fold: (i) we first investigate the trade-off between the efficiency of ML algorithms and network/traffic state in the scope of DDoS detection. (ii) we design and implement a software architecture containing open-source network tools, with the deployment of multiple ML algorithms. Lastly, we show that under the denial of service attacks, our framework ensures the traffic packets are still delivered within the network with additional delays.

Recent advances in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technologies make their use as data collection sinks feasible for practical applications of Wireless sensor Networks (WSN). Using UAVs as mobile data collection agents can improve network performance by reducing the horizontal radio pollution in animal sanctuaries or conservations, for example. this may also positively improve energy consumption of both UAV and sensor nodes (SN) on the ground. Designing an efficient UAV trajectory which has the capability of data gathering from randomly distributed large number of SNs has been one of the challenges for the UAV-aided WSN data gathering solutions. this paper aims at conceptualizing a solution for UAV path planning in gathering data of distributed wireless sensors over a large space. Both efficient flight path and dynamic orchestration of sensor grouping are considered as two key factors for improving the flight performance in data collection. Herein, a classical Travel Salesman Problem (TSP) solution supported by the ground group offerings are used for manipulating a simplified centroid-based trajectory and turning it into a more relaxed fuzzy route. this in turn would offer a ground for smoother and more efficient flight paths. While preliminary modelling of the approach offers encouraging results, the demand for fluidity in dynamically re-orchestrating the ground sensor networks must be carefully considered. Successful implementation of this concept would support a wide range of applications such as the farming and conservation used cases.

the growing penetration of converter-interfaced distributed renewable energy sources (CI-DRES) has posed several challenges into the electric power systems, e.g., the instability caused by the intermittent nature of the primary sources, power quality issues, etc. Several algorithms have been proposed to mitigate the CI-DRES power fluctuations and reduce high active power ramp-rates (RRs) at the point of common coupling (PCC) with the grid using energy storage systems (ESS). However, these algorithms present some drawbacks. In this article, a new ramp-rate limitation (RRL) control method is proposed to address existing gaps in the technical literature. this algorithm is performed considering the connection of a supercapacitor (SC) at the dc-link of a DRES converter. the relationship between the SC voltage and the degree to which the RRL is achieved is established, aiming to reduce the SC voltage fluctuations and increase the SC life time. the RRL control is validated in a real experimental testbed and compared to state-of-the-art approaches. this control is also modeled in Matlab/Simulink in order to perform techno-economic investigations on the influence that several parameters (SC size, SC charging/discharging cycles, cost, etc.) have on the achieved RRL at the DRES PCC.

this paper proposed an ultra-low power time-domain temperature sensor circuit for IoT applications. It uses 2- T structures to generate reference voltage and complementary-to-absolute-temperature (CTAT) voltage. the reference voltage produces reference current by using current mirror to charge the capacitor. then the voltage of capacitor is compared with the CTAT voltage to generate a temperature-dependent pulse. the pulse width is then digitized to represent the temperature. the temperature sensor is designed using 0.1S μ m CMOS process. the simulation results show that it measures temperature from -10°C to 60°C from 1V supply voltage. the power it costs is 570nW at a conversion speed of100 Sa/s. © 2022 ieee.
