Wireless localization using received signal strength (RSS) has successfully applied in a variety of areas due to its merits, e.g., easy implementation. For RSS-based localization, sensor placement is as important as localization algorithm, and the optimal placement has been investigated by using certain criterions. However, the existing work mainly focus on the bias-free measurement model, i.e., the measurement errors comprise random noises only and sensor biases are not considered. In this paper, we investigate the optimal sensor placement using biased RSS measurements. A-optimality criterion is utilized to formulate the optimization problem with respect to the optimal sensor placement. By minimizing the trace of the Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRLB) for the biased model, the optimal strategies for placing sensors are derived. Illustrative examples validate the proposed method of sensor placement, in which the localization accuracies are significantly improved for the same localization algorithms, compared to other scenarios.

English language learning has changed with the incorporation of digital technologies, and personalized recommendation systems have taken center stage to enhance the learning process. Classical recommendation systems typically use rule-based algorithms or collaborative filtering, which do not map educational resources precisely to the individual needs, preferences, and learning progress of the learner. these approaches frequently grapple with content mismatch, inflexibility, and limited capacity to support dynamic learning behavior, resulting in decreased learner engagement and ineffective learning experiences. To overcome these challenges, this study introduces a new English teaching resource recommendation mechanism based on Attention LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) networks. the model utilizes the advantages of LSTM networks to handle sequence data and incorporates an attention mechanism to pay specific attention to the most important learning factors, including proficiency level, learning gaps, and changing preferences. By giving priority to important content, the model provides more personalized and efficient recommendations. Experimental findings proves the proposed LSTM model by attaining accuracy of 0.98, precision of 0.97, recall of 0.965 and F1-scor of 0.972. Comparative analysis with conventional recommendation methods reveals that the model provides increased accuracy, learner satisfaction, and learning engagement. the findings highlight the potential of Attention LSTM networks to enhance personalized English language learning by overcoming the drawbacks of current methods and providing an adaptive, data-driven strategy to resource recommendation.

With the increasing penetration of distributed renewable energy (DERs), the electrical grid is experiencing, on a daily basis, rapid and massive fluctuations in power and voltage profiles. Fast and precise control strategies in real-time have played an important role to ensure that the power system operates at an optimal status. Solving real-time optimal power flow (OPF) problems while satisfying the operational constraints of the community microgrid (CMG) is considered a promising technique to control the fluctuations of renewable sources and loads. this paper adopts a new deep reinforcement learning algorithm (DRL), called Twin-Delayed Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (TD3), to solve the real-time OPF with consideration of DERs and distributed energy storages (DESs) in the CMG. Training and testing of the algorithm are conducted on an ieee 14-bus test system. Comparative results show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. © 2022 ieee.

Bioelectronics is an emerging research area where human-made electronic systems interface, bidirectionally, with the electrical systems present in biology. Flexible electronics are a critical development for bioelectronic systems which can flex and stretch with the body. Printing based manufacturing approaches have been heavily investigated in recent years for creating bioelectronic systems, as screen printing can potentially provide scaled-up roll-to-roll based manufacturing while 3D and inkjet printing can potentially provide opportunities for personalisation. this paper presents a brief narrative review bioelectronics, the materials challenges in flexible sensors, circuits, and systems for bioelectronic interfacing, and examples of our approaches to tackling these challenges.

this paper aims to propose a novel swarm cooperative control mechanism to address the consensus tracking problem for a class of heterogeneous nonlinear systems under the switching communications of multiple subsystems of industrial cyber-physical systems (ICPS). By developing a novel mechanism of the dwell time of switching communication topologies, it is proved that the swarm cooperative control can be achieved for closed-loop heterogeneous systems with nonlinear dynamics by proposing a switching consensus based error compensation algorithm. Simulation is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

In this paper, a novel framework of the authority-management-based consensus protocol design approach is provided. In the scenario of the proposed designs, each local protocol is realized by a parallel connection of a public protocol and a private protocol. the public protocols are uniform and open access. However, the private protocols are allowed to be significant nonuniform and are only known by the pairs of agents who share them. We provide the design criterions for the proposed protocols under both static and dynamic public protocols, respectively. By using the frequency domain analysis, it is shown that the consensus can be achieved under the proposed protocols if the private protocols satisfy certain constraints dependent on the public ones. the typical public protocol of the PI-based protocol is discussed as a special case.

In this paper, a flexible stretchable pressure sensor that can be combined with clothing is designed. Due to its excellent flexibility, it is no longer limited to conventional uses when combined with fabrics. this wearable flexible stretchable pressure sensor is easy to process and low in cost and can participate in human motion monitoring accurately, flexibly, and variably. the sensors show different performances when they are made of different flexible materials, microstructures, and processing technologies. they have ideal biocompatibility and adaptability and have considerable application prospects. Moreover, multiple sensors can be applied to various parts of the human body to measure the angle of the human body. Angle monitoring in the sagittal plane, coronal plane, and horizontal plane may also be realized in the future, In this report, the performance of the sensor integrated into the elastic tights was tested, and then the actual application and independence of the sensor clothing were demonstrated by measuring the angle of the hip joint in the sagittal plane. Finally, when the sensor clothing was worn, the synchronous gait measurement was carried out on the treadmill with the dynamic capture, and then the captured data was processed to obtain the human motion data. through comparison with the dynamic capture system, To detect the initial actual performance of the sensor and characterize the defects in wearing measurement.

the food industry is dependent on human labor for tasks that require tactile sensing, due in part to a lack of robotic sensors that are delicate enough to interact with food. In this paper we present the design, modeling, and performance of a durometer constructed with soft materials. We performed experiments to investigate the sensor's material selection, repeatability, drift, probing speed, and calibration. We also integrated the sensor into a commercial soft robotic gripper and used it to measure the hardness of an orange. the orange would be damaged by a traditional durometer, but the soft durometer left no visible marks. these results suggest that soft robotic sensors can benefit the food industry and overcome limitations associated with the interaction between robotic systems and fragile objects.

this paper presents a low power, flexible and energy-efficient wireless sensor node for aerodynamic and acoustic measurements on wind turbine blades and other industrial structures. It comprises 40 high-accuracy absolute MEMS pressure sensors, ten MEMS microphones, a data processing system, a wireless transmitter based on Bluetooth Low Energy 5 tuned for long-range and high throughput while maintaining energy efficiency. the sensor node has been designed and implemented to test the range of communication, the impact on energy efficiency, the functionality, and the estimated lifetime. Experimental tests outdoor in realistic conditions revealed that the system can sustain a data rate of 850kbps over 438m. the node power consumption while streaming all measured data from a multi-MW wind turbine is only 46mW, enabling lifetimes of a full month even in the worst-case scenario of streaming all sensor data using an 8.7Ah Li-Ion battery.

the proposed methodology aims to provide a sudden notification regarding the ongoing theft to the house owner. Home security is very essential nowadays as the chances of intrusion is getting increased day by day. the existing system theft monitoring has many drawbacks like it will only intimate about the theft only after it occurs and also it can't differentiate human from non-human things. WSN (Wireless sensors Networks) collaborated along with the IoT are providing solutions for the smart home technologies. this paper proposes anti-theft system for a smart home which easily locates the intruder even when they are hides fully their body with clothes, sheets and any heavy materials. this system also provides an advanced way to identifies an intruder even in the dark with the help of CCTV camera without any sort of night vision capability. the most important thing is to develop a less expensive and beneficial system for the person to detect any sort of unauthorised activities and send notification instantly to the member of the house. this project assures to implement security to the home with a wide recording film data handling. However, all those above proposed methods can be put together and thus provides threats to security. thus, here is our elaborate version of "ANTI-thEFT MONITORING FOR A SMART HOME". © 2022 ieee
