the paper presents an investigation on energy trading through the secured blockchain energy-trading platform used by Nigerians. this is achieved by modelling and simulating a decentralized distributed solar photovoltaic (PV) generation network in the Lagos State of Nigeria that adopts blockchain technology as the energy-trading platform. the MATLAB/Simulink software was used to model and simulate a section of the Nigerian energy network, where PV distributed generation (DG) systems were installed in decentralized locations. Subsequently, the Python software was used to create an algorithm illustrating how the secured blockchain energy-trading platform should function. then, the RETScreen Expert software was used to conduct the financial sensitivity and risk analyses of implementing this project in the Nigerian energy industry. the simulation study results showed that implementing a decentralized distributed PV generation network into the Nigeria energy system could improve the reliability and efficiency of energy generation and supply during different seasons of the year. It was also found that the blockchain energy-trading platform could serve as a source of income for some people. © 2022 ieee.

Private and public organizations have long relied on intrusion detection systems to alert them of malicious activity in their digital networks. these systems were designed to detect threat signatures in static networks or infer anomalous activity based on their security 'logs'. they are, however, of limited use to detect threats across heterogeneous, modern-day networks, where computing resources are distributed across cloud or routing services. Recent advancements in machine learning have led to the development of autonomous threat detection (ATD) applications that monitor, evaluate, and respond to malicious activity with minimal human intervention. the use of 'intelligent' and programmable algorithms for ATD will reduce incident response times and enhance the capacity of states to detect threats originating from any layer of their territorial information and communications technologies (ICT) infrastructure. this paper argues that ATD technologies will influence the evolution of a due diligence Mc for cyberspace by raising the standard of care owed by states to prevent their networks from being used for malicious, transboundary ICT activities. this paper comprises five sections. Section 1 introduces the paper and its central argument. Section 2 outlines broad trends and operational factors pushing public and private entities towards the adoption of ATD. Section 3 offers an overview of a typical ATD application. Section 4 analyses the impact of ATD on the due diligence obligations of states. Section 5 presents the paper's conclusions.

the Impulse-Radio Ultra-Wideband (IR-UWB) sensor was employed for life-form detection. We used an IR-UWB sensor system with an Arduino-based platform for the indoor detection of cats, dogs, and humans. sensor placement was important in signal reception as sensors are influenced by environmental factors. Within a 1-2 ft, the system achieved a success rate of 100% in detecting life forms. In detecting and counting humans, the accuracy was 90.80% and the precision was 92.62%. the system can be used in diverse applications, enhancing safety, resource efficiency, and indoor environmental quality. More sensors can increase the system capability in classifying and detecting life forms.

Energy routers, as an emerging means of current control, can effectively improve the network transmission loss of distribution networks as well as the problem of distributed power consumption. However, the planning of energy routers involves more variables, which are less concerned in current research. In this regard, based on the autonomous partitioning of distribution networks containing distributed Generation (DG), a two-stage planning model for energy routers considering the matching of source/load barycenter in subregions of distribution networks is proposed to configure the access locations, connection lines, and port capacities of energy routers in distribution networks. Based on the improved ieee 33-node system, the effectiveness of the proposed energy router planning method is verified, which can effectively improve the distributed power consumption rate of the distribution network and optimize the system operation economy through the optimal configuration of energy routers.

this paper presents the design and implementation of a low cost autonomous boat based on a raspberry PI as a central control unit. the autonomous boat is intended to be used in several applications such as water quality monitoring, aquaculture farms and shellfish cultivation. the hardware platform consists of a Raspberry Pi single-board computer, GPS module, compass and ultrasonic sensors, brushless motors controllers, and power management system. the Raspberry Pi is connected with Amazon Web Services (AWS) that controls motorized propellers, which provide propulsion for the system. the effectiveness of the designed autonomous boat is demonstrated through experimental trials in controlled water environments, validating the navigation accuracy, obstacle avoidance capability, and overall system robustness. the results indicate the potential for leveraging affordable technology for marine autonomy and its applicability across diverse fields.

With the rising interest in sustainable transportation efforts, the optimal integration of Electric Vehicles (EVs) in the transportation business has come into existence very drastically. However, because of the increased power consumption, their impact on the electric power market might result in more enormous losses in the active power, a reduced voltage profile, as well as reduced voltage stability limits. In Radial Distribution System (RDS), getting the reduced effect of EVs load is crucial. It is significantly important to build charging stations for EVs and distributed Generators (DGs) at the best locations. this article presents a combined approach to solve the optimal integration of DGs and EVs problem. First, the desired locations of DGs and EVs are found using the Voltage Stability Index (VSI) method. Further, the resource ratings are obtained by the Firefly algorithm (FA) method. EVs charging dump and smart charging strategies are used, and comparison is done with both systems. Furthermore, the main objective of this work is to reduce the power loss and maintain a good voltage profile at each bus in the RDS. Finally, the developed approach is tested on ieee 69 bus system. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

PSO is one of the famous algorithms that help to find the global solution;in this study, our main objective is to improve the result found by the PSO algorithm to find the optimal reconfiguration by adjusting the inertia weight parameter. In this paper, I select the chaotic inertia weight parameter and the hybrid strategy using the combination between the chaotic inertia weight and the success rate, these kinds of parameters are chosen due to their accuracy, and they give the best solution compared with other types of parameter. To test the performance of this study, I used the ieee 33 bus in the case of the presence of the DGs, and a comparative study is done to check the reliability and the quality of these two suggested strategies. In the end, it is noticed that the reconfiguration by using the chaotic inertia weight gives a better result than the hybrid strategy and the other studies: reduce losses, improve the voltage profile at each node, and give the solution at a significant time.

In the present scenario, Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) systems are in use because of the high data capacity and efficiency of the system. there is a special importance on correct channel estimation to in getting the highest performance out of these systems. Seeking efficient solutions to this problem, various practitioners have resorted to the application of sparse signal processing that makes use of the sparsity character of wireless channels. this paper focuses on the scope of sparse signal processing in the field of wireless communications with special focus on this study on the BP and OMP algorithms while comparing them to LS and ZF estimation. the simulations are conducted in several surroundings including urban and rural as well as in free space. A clear impact of sparse signal processing in alleviating the training requirements and the computing cost has been achieved with BP considered to be the most effective tool for compressed sensing. In this regard, the effectiveness of sparse approaches in MIMO channel estimation is anticipated.

Federated learning (FL) is widely applied in edge computing scenarios to protect data privacy, but the assumption of independent and identically distributed (IID) data across clients often does not hold in practice, leading to performance degradation. Among the many methods proposed to address data heterogeneity, clustered federated learning (CFL) has emerged as a popular approach. Current CFL methods commonly adopt the expectation-maximization (EM) algorithm, which mitigates the problem of data heterogeneity. However, they still face challenges such as requiring more clients than traditional federated learning and introducing randomness in the clustering process. To overcome these limitations, we propose FedDPC, which integrates the density peak clustering (DPC) algorithm. this approach provides the advantages of not requiring additional clients and having a non-random partitioning strategy. Finally, we conducted experiments to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of our proposed method.
