A robot with autonomous path planning ability, automatic recognition of fruit maturity, and automatic picking capability has been designed to address the low efficiency of manual lychee picking in Hainan. this article mainly uses the SAT path planning algorithm to transform the path planning problem into a satisfiable problem and uses the MiniSat solver to solve the robot motion sequence. Design an obstacle avoidance system for a picking robot using fuzzy control principles and ultrasonic ranging sensors. At the same time, the Object Detection algorithm is introduced into the maturity recognition of lychee fruits. Experimental tests have shown that the picking robot can complete fruit recognition, path planning, obstacle avoidance, and picking testing on the constructed grid map.

distributed sensors are indispensable for collecting and controlling the necessary physical quantities in increasingly complex superconducting systems. they provide a reference for the monitoring and maintenance of the system status. With the continuous increase of system complexity, traditional maintenance strategies are difficult to directly apply to highly coupled superconducting systems. In order to make a more accurate assessment of the health status of the superconducting system and take full advantages of deep learning in tasks such as time series prediction, fault detection and diagnosis, we use a deep neural network to explore the time series prediction task with data collected by the superconducting system sensors. Combined with the network residual structure, the performance of the neural network is improved effectively. At the meantime, in order to solve the problem of extremely unbalanced positive and negative samples in the sensor data recording in the superconducting system, TIMEGAN is used to expand the samples. the experiment showed that the presented superconducting fault prediction and diagnosis system in the paper is effective and efficient. © 2021 ieee.

New opportunities and challenges arise in power system operations due to the energy transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy resources coupled with the liberalization of electricity markets. these opportunities appear in the form of energy flexibility, and the uncertainty of renewable generation challenges power system security of supply. this paper presents an efficient energy management model that considers available flexibility from active industrial networks connected to the power distribution grid. Installation of storage units in the industrial grid provides flexibility. the goal is to solve a multi-objective optimal power flow problem to reduce system costs and carbon emissions. In the proposed two-fold approach, Tchebycheff's decomposition method breaks down the multi-objective problem into scalar subproblems, which are then singularly minimized using a distributed gradient projection algorithm. distributed computation helps retain the data privacy of each participant. the algorithm is applied to modified ieee radial test network to demonstrate achieved cost benefits and carbon footprint reduction.

this paper discusses the crucial aspects of Flywheel Energy Storage System into distributed renewable energy sources based microgrid. the study primarily focuses on the contribution of Flywheel Energy Storage System towards distributed energy sources based microgrid's reliability as well as conducts performance comparison with Battery Energy Storage System Applications. the comparative analysis takes consideration of different rotational speed ranges and corresponding losses regarding the Flywheel Energy Storage System into the reliable operation assessment of microgrid. the comparative reliability analysis between Flywheel Energy Storage System and Battery Energy Storage System Applications integrated in distributed energy sources based microgrid is demonstrated in the ieee RTS-79 bus system. the simulation outcomes exhibit the effects of Flywheel Energy Storage System as well as carry out performance assessment of Flywheel Energy Storage System on the architecture's reliability aspects based on considered operational strategies.

With the introduction of readily available quantum computers such as Tunnel Falls from Intel, the development of post-quantum cryptography is imperative. Previously secure networks are vulnerable to the powerful brute-force capabilities of quantum hardware. Internet of things sensor networks are especially vulnerable, as device and power constraints limit a sensor's ability to withstand attacks. therefore, we developed the first hardware implementation of Ascon-Sign with a lightweight encryption and signature scheme. the hardware reduces the overall clock rate of the system while increasing the amount of hash permutations per clock cycle for the Ascon modules. this effectively increases the throughput of Ascon, the most computationally expensive module, while maintaining a lower clock frequency, and therefore power consumption of the other components. We prioritized power usage over throughput and the hardware showed a power reduction of 68%. the hardware can be integrated into a wireless sensor network for weather monitoring.

this paper presents the design and implementation of a low-power wireless sensor network for smart home systems, based on the Internet of things (IoT). the proposed architecture is divided into three layers: the sensor layer, coordination layer, and receiving layer. the sensor layer consists of various ZigBee-based sensor nodes, while the coordination layer includes a ZigBee coordinator and a home gateway to relay data to the Internet. the receiving layer provides users with access to sensor data through multiple devices, such as PCs and smartphones. We adopted a star-type ZigBee network topology to simplify the network structure, reduce cost, and meet the demands of small-to-medium-sized smart home environments. the CC2430 chip was selected for sensor nodes due to its low cost, low energy consumption, and integrated capabilities, making it well-suited for IoT applications. Experimental results demonstrated effective communication, low latency, and reliable data transmission within the smart home setup.

Internet of things (IoT) is a way to communicate with the real world without much human involvement. It is booming in today's computing world, with billions of devices having sensors and actuators connected to the internet using various low power technologies. Despite several profits, it experiences multiple security threats that impel catastrophic crashes in the ieee 802.15.4e (6TiSCH) network. Various threats like jamming attacks, DDoS, abnormal behavior, etc., are detected using multiple Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning (DL) approaches. In this paper, an edge -based ML enables Intrusion Detection systems (IDS) is proposed to detect distributed denial of-service (DDoS) attack patterns from a particular source. Experimental outcomes confirm that the proposed approach is scalable and efficient in terms of computation and storage. Hence, the intended approach gives a faster response as (24.2-68.9)Sec. the average memory utilization (ROM/RAM), energy usage, and accuracy achieved by our intended solution are 35834B/5378B, 85916mJ, 98.7%, respectively, which outperform closely related work.

Modern society prioritizes productivity over individual health, resulting in increased work-related illnesses and physical health problems. However, customizing space towards individual body status and providing timely alert are difficult to achieve in open-plan offices. this study proposes a multi-modal wearable Mixed Reality (MR) system which integrates real-time biometric data, and provides dynamic mediation to enhance body awareness. this paper presents the system design architecture, a signal mapping design, a proof-of-concept prototype (MMRWE), and a pilot user study. the user study yields positive results on the prototype usability based on qualitative measurement, and provides valuable insights towards future development towards workspace health and well-being.

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is gained immense popularity among IT leaders over the years. RPA Bots are often easily and quickly deployed for automating repetitive business processes or tasks, which successively helps organizations to save lots of a substantial amount of their time and money. there are several success stories which vouch for usage of RPA, at the same time, there are some key aspects to be taken care in terms of security to minimize problems with the RPA. RPA automates a process, reducing human intervention and involvement. So, many expect it increases security by default. It should be noted, automation doesn't mean it ensures security and compliance of the process by default. It's important to note that the method of RPA can often be quite risky in some cases. this is because RPA bots will handle sensitive data and transmitting it across systems associated with the business for various processes. So, if the sensitive data is not secured in right manner, it might get exposed, which can impact the business. So, while considering RPA, an organization should make sure it understands the security implications to the business process. With this paper, we would like to present a holistic approach to address all key aspects organizations needs to take care in terms of security, compliance and auditability starting from identification of the business case, design and development of the RPA bots till usage. It covers the crucial 3rd dimension of RPA Bot, along with the software and human user of the traditional software usage to consider and ensure overall security and compliance of the business process. © 2022 ieee.

With the integration of distributed generators, studying the equivalence circuit of external power grids with high proportion of new energy distributed generators (DGs) is of great significance for simplifying power grid analysis and short-circuit current calculation. In this paper, a multi-port thevenin and Norton equivalent method of the external power grid with distributed generators is proposed, and the multi-port equivalent circuit and parameter expressions are derived. the impact of DGs on equivalent circuit is reflected in the open-circuit equivalent voltage, and the main influencing factor on the open-circuit equivalent voltage is the output current of DGs. Finally, the correctness of the equivalent method and analysis is verified on the ieee33-node power grid.
