Wide Area Network (WAN) Capacity Planning faces frequent challenges to deploy cost-effective standard solution framework under IT Network budget cut situation, especially for Enterprise Organizations which operate across the globe. Since MPLS is well accepted WAN technology standard, until SD-WAN gets fully rolled out across the globe as standard cost-effective WAN platform, National and international MPLS would continue for years to come as foundation WAN connectivity options for the *** this study, comprehensive emphasis has been given for Local Loop technology enhancement (From Telco Based Leased Line to Ethernet/Fiber Optic Based Line) for WAN and associated cost impact which would enable IT decisions makers/Network Solution Architects to standardize country specific WAN solution via consciously selecting international MPLS or National MPLS with international MPLS touch point or combination of both as strategic direction to get both technology and cost being optimized making the country WAN infrastructure best fit for the *** aim of the study is to track the progress of legacy TDM technology to Ethernet migration per country and overall cost benefit for both international and National MPLS WAN which would help define the roadmap for future bandwidth sizing and allocating country specific WAN budget, to meet the upcoming business requirement for existing size for WAN Bandwidth upgrade or new Site to live in the Global Wide Area Network. © 2019 ieee.

Cloud computing emerged as a promising model for delivering services over the internet, offering users a pay-as-you-use structure that grants access to infrastructures (Infrastructure as a service), platforms for running various programs (Platform as a Service) and software (Software as a Service) at minimal cost. Surprisingly, as cloud environments evolve and expand, access control has become a critical concern to ensure that the data stored in these systems maintains confidentiality, integrity, and availability. the increasing complexity of cloud architecture highlights the urgent need for a robust access control model, as the consequences of inadequate protection could be disastrous. this article provides a novel approach to addressing the vulnerabilities in cloud security, emphasizing the need for enhanced access control measures. It investigates how deep learning can provide a defense-in-depth strategy to detect and prevent unauthorized access and data breaches by analyzing current gaps in cloud security research. through a systematic analysis, this study aims to bridge these gaps, offering insights into how deep learning models can strengthen cloud environments against potential threats. By combining deep learning with traditional methods, the model dynamically optimizes access control decisions and strengthens data confidentiality. Results show that the proposed outperforms current works with accuracy of 94.39% that demonstrates considerable gains in data security, resilience, and overall performance that effectively addresses anomalies in cloud environments. © 2024 ieee.

this survey study provides a comprehensive analysis of emotion recognition, documenting its progression from conventional techniques to innovative hybrid algorithms that effectively combine textual and audio information. this work distinguishes itself with its thorough examination of the innovative combination of deep learning-based textual sentiment analysis and sophisticated aural signal processing approaches. this unique combination greatly improves the precision of emotion recognition from intricate sources like social media and consumer feedback. the study addresses the difficulties of processing real-time data and reducing bias in varied datasets. It provides new perspectives on the powers and limitations of neural networks and machine learning in this specific scenario. Our research represents a notable advancement in the utilization of these technologies for human-computer interaction, facilitating the creation of digital interfaces that are more empathic and attuned to human emotions. the final statements underscore the pressing requirement for sophisticated multimodal methodologies and the incorporation of developing technology, underscoring our distinctive contribution to the progress of emotion identification systems. this report offers a thorough analysis of the present condition of the subject and outlines a direction for future advancements, highlighting the crucial significance of emotion identification in improving human-computer interaction. © 2024 ieee.

Continuous emotion recognition is the key concern of researchers working in the field of facial behavior analysis and human-computer interaction. An attempt for continuous emotion recognition is made along with the sparsity analysis. In the presented work, Gabor filters are used to extract features from facial images. Before applying Gabor filters, preprocessing is done on facial images so as to reduce the variance due to illumination, scaling, and rotation. the Gabor magnitude as well as Gabor phase is used to represent facial features. the features were applied to relevance vector regression for continuous emotion recognition. the sparsity analysis is done by analyzing the support vectors to ensure its application in real time. the proposed approach was evaluated on extended Cohn-Kanade database. the results represent the efficacy of the presented approach.

For authenticating time critical broadcast messages, ieee 1609.2 security standard for Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs) suggests the use of secure Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA). Since ECDSA has an expensive verification in terms of time, most commonly suggested alternate algorithms are TESLA and signature amortization. Unfortunately, these algorithms lack immediate authentication and non-repudiation. therefore, we introduce a probabilistic verification scheme for an ECDSA-based authentication protocol. Using ns2 simulation tools, we compare the performance of all above-mentioned broadcast authentication algorithms. the results show with our proposed scheme, there is an increase in packet processed ratio over that of all the other algorithms. © 2016 ACM.

this paper investigates two efficient relay selection algorithms on the performance of an ieee 802.16j MMR WiMAX network. the relay selection algorithms considered here are max-min relay selection and harmonic mean of SNR relay selection. the WiMAX transmitter comprises of OFDMA transmission technique and the receiver with maximum likelihood (ML) detection method is adopted for reliable detection of transmitted bits. the relays used here are the Amplify-Forward (AF) relay and Decode-Forward (DF) relay. Both selection combining (SC) and maximal ratio combining (MRC) techniques are applied and the performance metrics are symbol error rate (SER) and channel capacity. the analysis of the network is performed using the MATLAB software. It is observed that the DF relay along with MRC combination technique outperforms the other relay-diversity combining techniques in terms of providing improved SER and channel capacity. Again in providing less SER, the harmonic mean of SNR relay selection algorithm is superior in comparison to max-min relay selection algorithm. Further, the max-min based relay selection algorithm provides better channel capacity about the harmonic mean of SNR relay selection algorithm for the considered MMR WiMAX network.

Intelligent building refers to a residence that is automated through a network of electronic devices which cooperate transparently to provide protection and comfort to the residents and minimize the energy consumption drastically. In this paper, a novel approach is made to design an intelligent building control solution using wireless sensor actuator networks (WSAN) in hardware domain. the intelligent building control solution provides automation to most household operations such as intrusion alarm, environment monitoring and controlling, asset tracking, etc. Real-time sensing is established with the help of sensor modules whereas real-time tracking is achieved with the deployment of active radio frequency identification (RFID) module. the WSAN greatly consists of gateway, routers, and end devices. the main controlling unit of WSAN is AVR microcontroller which manages the transceiver section and processes the received data accordingly. this paper focuses on remote monitoring and management system for a partly automated building equipped with sensors and actuators. Here, we also explore the prospects of wireless mesh networks and design a framework for developing an intelligent and smart environment.

Given the upcoming post-pandemic times, there are more universities considering adopting the hybridization model. As such, not all the facilities and building utilities will be fully utilized as only half of the student population will be expected, thus wasting the campus's energy consumption. An intelligent management system can be implemented into smart campuses to reduce the overall electrical bills to adapt to the hybrid education model. the research was then conducted on existing prior work around intelligent buildings and energy optimization. It was found that many of the energy optimization models utilized an IoT application highly specific to the designed IoT system only. this inspired developing an open source generalized IoT application to provide two-way communication between the energy optimization models and IoT devices. this would allow researchers to test their intelligent energy optimization models without building a support application from scratch. During the development phase, Firebase and open-source Chart JS were used to create an interactive web application with features including a dashboard, insightful data analysis, and remote-control features to be applied in a smart campus. A successful connection was established with a Raspberry Pi-based IoT system, where data could be stored and retrieved from the database into the web application. the second phase is going to be implementation of AI model which is currently in progress and being trained to fulfill the required criteria. © 2022 ieee.

Over the years, there is a large amount of data being generated in almost all the fields such as engineering, medical, bioscience and social network. To visualise set relationships for a large data is always a challenge, especially with the data evolving over time. there is no tool that supports the set visualisation represented over time. So, we explored this impossibility by developing a novel visual method and a software tool to generate Euler-time diagrams, which will represent set relations with respect to time. the idea was taken from the well-known visualisations: Euler diagrams and time-series. Euler diagrams represent set relations and time-series represent a sequence of events happened over a time. We merged the idea of Euler diagrams and time-series to spark the novelty. Pattern discovery not only plays an important role in graph analysis but also in the set analysis process. In this paper, we took a case study from theWorld Health Organisation (WHO) who is constantly trying to understand relationships between various diseases people are affected over a period of time. this motivated us to develop the set relationship time tool, by considering two levels: aggregation and relationships, using data-driven documents (D3) and Google developing tool kit. this prototype tool can be enhanced by considering gestalt principles, topological properties, perceptual and cognitive theories which will help in analysing and interpreting data efficiently.
