We present a system of audio effects capable of processing and predicting metadata associated with the processed signals. this new class of audio effects has additional inputs and outputs describing features in RDF using the Audio Features Ontology. this data is processed in parallel to the audio signals. We show that by deriving the changes in metadata resulting from audio processing directly from the effect parameters, we can increase the accuracy of descriptors and reduce the computational cost by omitting repeated application of feature extraction algorithms on the output signal. Our demonstration uses a modified version of Sonic Visualiser controlled via the Open Sound control protocol (OSC) to display metadata at various stages of processing.

the interface between the analog world and digital systems requires data converters. To lower the quantization noise level in the signal band, Sigma-Delta(ΣΔ) Analog to Digital Converters (ADCs) employ oversampling and noise shaping approaches. the operation of oversampling is performed by the modulator. Quantization noise and input signal are separated into two distinct frequency bands using two different transfer functions. Digital processing is used to filter the noise from the output signal (sample sequence). In this paper, we investigate the construction and implementation of 4th order cascaded (2-2) Multistage noise Shaping-MASH architectural modulator. the 4th order modulator is designed and verified in UMC 180nm technology with VDD = 3.3V, VREF = 1.2V, VCM = 1V, IREF = 10μA and clock frequency of 32MHz and occupies the active area of 218mm2 © 2024 ieee.

Intelligent connected vehicle (ICV) is considered to be a key technology to solve traffic safety and congestion problems. With the development of ICV technology, vehicles need to perform complex image processing and control decision with deep learning operations. these vehicular applications require a lot of computing power while computation capability of vehicle is limited. the joint application of cloud computing and fog computing in the vehicular network can provide vehicles with sufficient computing resources through reasonable task offloading scheme, and reduce high communication delay. the paper formulates a problem to minimize the total service latency of all tasks in the system, considering the effect of vehicle movement, communication bandwidth limitations, and task queuing time. A novel hybrid metaheuristic algorithm named improved genetic binary particle swarm optimization (IGBPSO) is proposed to solve this problem, which combines the operations of particle swarm optimization (PSO) and genetic algorithm (GA). Experimental results demonstrate that the algorithm has both fast convergence and strong global search capabilities, which can effectively reduce the total service latency for all tasks and improve the utilization of system resources. © 2021 ieee.

the floating point arithmetic operations have discovered applications in the various different fields for the necessities for requirments high precision operation because of its incredible dynamic range, high accuracy and fast arithmetic operations. High accuracy is needed for the design and research of the floating point processing units. With the expanding necessities for the floating point operations for the fast high speed data signal processing and the logical operation, the requirements for the high-speed hardware floating point arithmetic units have turned out to be increasingly requesting. this paper deals with the design and implementation of the 32-bit floating point Processor with MAC unit for signal processing application. the Linear convolution and Circular convolution of signals is verified. the necessary code is written in the language Verilog. Xilinx 14.7 suite is used for software development and then implementation on Spartan 6 board. the designed DSP has instructions set and consists of 32-bit ALU, 32-bit X 32-bit parallel multiplier for single-cycle MAC operation, 2 addressing modes, 31 auxiliary register arithmetic units.

this paper presents a contention-aware QoS routing algorithm based on the multi-rate service of ieee 802 11, which is implemented to minimize the total sum of consumed limeslots while providing the required timeslots at nodes over routes and their contention neighbours over mobile ad hoc networks the experimental results are provided to show the superior performance of the proposed algorithm. Particularly, the proposed algorithm shows better performance when traffic load is relatively heavy

the Vehicle to grid (V2G) has become a reality with the developments in power grid and electrical vehicle technology. the V2G acts as a source and can be connected to the grid for shaving peak. the information and communication technology (ICT) will play a key role in V2G communications in smart grid environment. the aggregator acts as an interface between the grid control center and electrical vehicles. the communication between grid control center and aggregator is crucial and it is the responsibility of the aggregator to mobilize the electrical vehicles and facilitate the EV's to get connected to the grid by providing them the required parking slot for the EV's based on the state of the battery. In this paper we have analyzed the performance of ieee 802.16-2004 for grid control center and aggregator communication. the ieee 802.16-2004 physical layer modeling is performed using MATLAB/SIMULINK. © 2013 ieee.

Next generation wireless network are intended to support heterogeneous networks and to meet the major challenge of coping with spectral efficiency (SE) to accommodate larger number of users with reduced complexity and latency. One way is to increase the number of antenna arrays at base station which can provide the multiplexing gain and reduced radio frequency (RF) chains. Massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system with large number of antennas is designed to increased spectral efficiency. A lot of signal processing challenges in Massive MIMO system are to be deal with to improve spectral efficiency in multi antenna technology. this paper addresses multicarrier signal format named Universal Filtered Multi-Carrier (UFMC) as new waveform in multi-user massive MIMO systems. UFMC is the most promising waveformto be used in 5G and beyond networks as it facilitates multiple users to be served within the same frequency and time slot. In this paper, UFMC modulation with Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) mapping into the massive MIMO system with linear processing is implemented and the result are shown that it achieves higher SE and even high data rates with reduced Bit Error Rate (BER). © 2022 ieee.

this research aims for four-port MIMO antenna with very condensed size of 30×30 mm 2 printed on RogersRTDuroid5880 substrate. the high speed performance of the antenna is applicable for IoT applications. the antenna is characterized in far-field with gainmax of 3.89dBi and total radiating-efficiency of 74.71%. the antenna covers wider bandwidth of 5.02GHz-13.42GHz which also makes it suitable for UWB-X band applications. the diversity key parameters such as ECC, DG, TARC and CLL are evaluated.
