With the widespread adoption of 5G and IoT, computers are extensively used across various societal domains, bolstering programming education. Numerous programming novices complete introductory courses through online platforms, generating copious programming-related data. Leveraging these data for more precise student programming ability assessments presents a new industry challenge. Cognitive diagnosis stands as a mature evaluation model in this context, enabling students to gauge their knowledge based on their answer records. Nonetheless, deficiencies persist in current programming ability evaluation algorithms. Firstly, deep learning-based algorithms lack interpretability, which is crucial for guiding students' learning in the education field. Secondly, the unstructured nature of massive programming platform data necessitates feature screening for cognitive diagnosis models. Finally, the relationship structure between programming knowledge points is often overlooked, resulting in inadequate exploration of the interplay between topics and knowledge points. In order to solve the above problems, we focus on the programming ability evaluation algorithm based on cognitive diagnosis. To solve the problem of low interpretability of the neural network model alone, we introduce the definitions of knowledge points and student ability factors in the cognitive diagnosis model to assist modeling. A cognitive diagnosis model combined with knowledge structure reasoning is proposed to model the structure of knowledge points. As an embedded layer, it is combined with the process of neural network training to finally obtain the mastery of students' knowledge points and understand the structural relationship between each knowledge point. Compared to the state-of-the-art NCD algorithm, our solution enhances accuracy and consistency by 3.5% and 7.2%, respectively. © 2023 ACM.

this paper introduces an innovative approach to teaching digital logic concepts through a serious game developed using Lunar Magic, a level editor for Super Mario World. the game comprises seven levels, each strategically designed to correspond to key chapters in a digital logic course. By incorporating fundamental concepts such as logic operations, binary arithmetic, Karnaugh maps, decoders, multiplexers, and flip-flops, this game not only engages students but also reinforces their understanding of complex topics playfully and interactively. this paper discusses the development process, educational benefits, and outcomes of utilizing such a serious game as a training exercise for students in a digital logic course. © 2023 IEEE.

Fire can harm humans and animals and destroy the natural environment. Early and accurate fire detection is crucial. However, detecting fire is very challenging due to its varying color, size, shape, texture, and the uncertainty of different environments. In this paper, we review literature on datasets, attention mechanisms, and networks, which are the most important components of a fire detection model. We first present key notations to describe the network structure and its key components. then, we introduce several attention mechanisms to reduce the false alarm rate. After that, we present numerous state-of-the-art neural networks for fire, flame, and smoke detection. Finally, we discuss several challenges and opportunities at the end of this paper. © 2024 IEEE.

With the rapid advancement of internet technology and deepening globalization trends, Virtual Private Network (VPN) technology has become a crucial tool in ensuring the security and privacy of enterprise data transmission. Amidst complex network environments and escalating cybersecurity threats, VPNs address geographical limitations and information security by establishing encrypted channels over public networks. this study conducts a detailed comparative analysis of three mainstream VPN technologies - L2TP, IPsec, and MPLS. through theoretical discussions and experimental validation, the study comprehensively compares these technologies across metrics such as transmission efficiency, security, cost-effectiveness, session setup times, and latency. It provides a comprehensive evaluation and application guide for businesses choosing VPN technologies. © 2024 IEEE.

this research paper explores the potential of visual programming languages (VPLs) in expanding the accessibility and applicability of computer vision and Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) systems. the paper also discusses the application of VPLs in analyzing and modifying video streams, data from Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR), stereo cameras, and acoustic sensors, thereby expanding the scope of applications in computer vision. Highlights the potential of VPLs in SLAM systems, which are crucial for robot parameters like navigation, mapping, and Virtual Reality (VR) or Augmented Reality (AR). By incorporating VPLs into SLAM architectures, the paper argues that more ordinary users can engage with SLAM systems, which are based on concepts in computational geometry and computer vision. the paper reviews the extended Kalman filter, covariance intersection, and Graph-based SLAM (GraphSLAM), and discusses How VPLs can be integrated into these algorithms to improve their accessibility and applicabil-ity. the paper proposes several strategies for addressing these challenges, including the development of domain-specific VPLs. the paper also proposes future research directions in this area, including the development of new VPLs for SLAM systems, the integration of VPLs with other computer vision technologies, and the exploration of the potential for VPLs to improve the accuracy and efficiency of SLAM systems. To conclude, the paper discusses the opportunities associated with integrating VPLs into SLAM systems, such as the potential for VPLs to democratize SLAM technology and enable more ordinary users to engage with SLAM systems, and the potential for VPLs to accelerate the development of new SLAM algorithms and applications. © 2024 IEEE.

Aiming at the personalized online learning needs of teachers and students, this paper proposes an intelligent push system based on user profile. the system first accurately depicts user profiles from different dimensions such as user attributes, behavior, and interests;secondly, users are divided to different identity types according their learning levels;finally, combining with hybrid recommendation algorithms, it filters and pushes learning resources that meet the learning interests and needs of users. the test results indicate that the system can provide personalized services to users, improve user satisfaction and resource recommendation efficiency, and thus improve resource utilization efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.

this paper aims to explore the effective mode of computer-assisted corrective feedback applied to foreign language teaching. through experimental design, it focuses on the corrective effects of different feedback methods, including immediate effects and delayed effects. the results of statistical analysis show that written corrective feedback is generally effective, indicating that corrective feedback as a teaching method can promote foreign language learning;and that the effect of metalinguistic corrective feedback is the best, indicating that the effect of corrective feedback is basically positively correlated the degree of dominance of the feedback method;and that the effect of test time on the effectiveness of corrective feedback is negatively correlated with the degree of dominance of the feedback method. the methods and findings of this study can provide a reference for further research on second language grammar acquisition in the computer communication environment. © 2023, the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Secure multi-party computing is one of the most concerned fields in international cryptography. Besides, the problem of the sum of corresponding elements in the intersection of confidential computing sets is relatively new and has wide application scenarios. By using the addition homomorphism of the Lifted ElGamal threshold cryptosystem, this paper solves two problems related to the corresponding elements of the set intersection, namely, the sum of the associated values of the set intersection elements and the secret judgment of the relationship with the threshold. In the case of known data range, the corresponding secret calculation scheme is designed, in the process of calculation, the correlation value of the intersection elements of the set will not be disclosed, and only the final result is obtained. At the same time, the Lifted ElGamal threshold cryptosystem is used in this paper to resist collusive attacks. © 2023 IEEE.

Traditional approaches to managing attendance have been entirely transformed by the advent of automated and intelligent solutions due to the development of innovative attendance systems. this research introduces a revolutionary intelligent attendance system that uses unscrambled representation and gait identification using an Inception v3 model based on transfer learning to precisely identify people based on their gait patterns and record attendance. By employing transfer learning, the proposed method improves the pre-trained weights of the Inception v3 model using the outdoor gait dataset, enabling it to capture and analyze the distinctive features of human gait accurately. By separating and storing many components that go into a person's gait pattern, incorporating disentangled representation improves the system's accuracy and produces more accurate identification results. the intelligent attendance system has many benefits compared to conventional attendance management strategies. the proposed model streamlines the attendance procedures and reduces administrative expenses by removing the dependency on traditional techniques like ID cards, PINs, or biometrics. the proposed system is non-intrusive in operation, protecting user privacy and convenience. MATLAB is used for programming, and OpenCV is used to process and analyze the video and image data from the database. the system completes comprehensive testing on an outdoor gait dataset with a remarkable accuracy of 94%, proving its reliability and usefulness in practical situations. © 2023 IEEE.
