the digital transformation of education has driven the exploration of innovative assessment models for Blended Learning. this study aims to develop a comprehensive Blended Learning evaluation model based on Blockchain Technology to enhance student learning assessment and secure data management. Using the University computer Fundamentals course at Yunnan Normal University as a case study, this model evaluates Blended Learning across three stages: pre-class, in-class, and post-class. It integrates multiple dimensions, including teaching effectiveness, satisfaction, and learning outcomes, providing a transparent and multidimensional assessment framework. Key findings indicate that the proposed model improves the efficiency, accuracy, and security of learning assessments in Blended Learning. this study contributes to the digital transformation of educational assessments, suggesting future research directions to further refine Blended Learning evaluation methods. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

the construction of New Engineering has higher requirements for computer professionals. computer network is a core course in computer science. In order to enhance the effectiveness of course teaching and highlight students’ ability to solve complex engineering problems, computer Network course need to change the traditional teaching mode and innovate course teaching methods. this paper proposes a blended teaching mode for computer Network based on the BOPPPS+TBL model. this mode includes a multidimensional teaching platform, online and offline blended learning, and comprehensive evaluation methods. the statistical results of teaching practice show that blended teaching can stimulate students’ interest in learning, promote their deep participation in course teaching, and effectively improve teaching quality. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Learning through short videos (SVs) is an effective medium for international students (ISs). this active learning method allows students, particularly those from abroad, to quickly and conveniently gain knowledge about life and study through short video content. Using Web of science (WOS) data, CiteSpace analyzes the spatial patterns, trends, and hotspots within research studies on ISs utilizing SVs for learning. Results: 1) ISs and SVs initially increased in the first half of the study period, reaching a peak before experiencing a decline over the next five years. this trend indicates a predominant focus on the ISs & SVs field from the perspectives of education and sociology. 2) this research has formed a complex international collaboration network, particularly among the United States, Spain, and China. 3) educational studies examining the adaptability of ISs and issues such as culture shock, particularly those concerning SVs based on digital technologies and tools, have emerged as a primary focus area. 4) With the relaxation of study abroad policies in various countries and the further development of short video platforms, research on ISs and SVs is likely to regain momentum. Conclusion: this study provides a comprehensive and objective research analysis of ISs and SVs. this highlights the role and impact of SVs as a form of digital educational technology on the learning experiences of ISs. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

In the realm of intelligent education, knowledge tracing (KT) has emerged as a crucial tool for enhancing educational efficiency and enabling personalized learning. Traditional KT methods primarily rely on students’ historical response data to evaluate their mastery of specific skills and forecast future performance. However, focusing solely on basic interactions, skills and response outcomes, makes it challenging to capture the complexities of real learning environments and accurately reflect students’ genuine knowledge states. To address this issue, we propose an innovative multi-feature based memory-enhanced knowledge tracing (MMKT) method. the key innovation of the MMKT model lies in the introduction of ‘memory features’ and ‘interaction features’. Memory features account for features such as the interval between repeated responses, the total number of responses, and memory interference during the overall learning process. In contrast, interaction features include response time, number of attempts, and hints. To integrate these features, we employ a self-attention mechanism coupled with a memory enhancement module and a recurrent neural network. this approach effectively uncovers variations in knowledge states while balancing the influence of global and local interactions. Our experimental results from different public datasets emphasize the benefits of the MMKT model in predicting future performance, underscoring the significance of integrating multi-feature and real-world relevant memory improvements. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Knowledge graphs (KGs) have great potential in various practical applications, especially in education. educational KGs are of major importance in course design and personal learning. they collected and integrated data from multiple sources, such as textbooks and education guidelines, to provide systematic knowledge architecture for learners, gradually improving education quality. Previous work focused on massive manual operations and professional knowledge to build KGs and presented many limitations, such as increased time consumption. To address the above issues, this study proposes a pipeline that combines large language models (LLMs) and a graph embedding method to support KG construction for medical informatics, LLM-MIKG. Specifically, the entire construction process can be divided into three critical phases. First, we adopt a top-down approach to create an ontology, dividing medical informatics into clinical informatics, bioinformatics, pharmaceutical informatics, medical intelligence, medical information security, and intelligent medicine. Second, the prompting engineering should be optimized. this study designs a recursive prompting strategy to extract the entities and relationships of each knowledge node from top to bottom, forming many local KGs. then, a graph embedding method is used to fuse local KGs to merge duplicate entities, establishing a complete medical informatics KG. Finally, the experimental results demonstrated the superiority of the proposed pipeline. We visualized 30,000 nodes on neo4j and deployed it on a self-developed medical informatics lifelong education platform to support further educational applications, which is an innovative attempt at medical informatics. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

educational applications of metaverses should be considered as a medium for sustainable education. In this paper, we propose a general personalized learning space in the educational metaverse (PLSEM) framework, which incorporates VR and AR technologies to simulate the complex learning interactions. this paper analyzes the effects of the metaverse on learning from the perspectives of teaching principles, learning activity design and technology application. Learners' emotional input and cognitive level were effectively improved through the convergence of various technologies. the relationship between learning motivation and the environment was examined by analyzing previous studies. Furthermore, PLSEM can be used to provide online learning space similar to an offline classroom for students by creating innovative educational environments. © 2022 IET conference Proceedings. Information technology courses shoulder the important responsibility and mission of cultivating students with information literacy. In this paper, according to the design of the questionnaire and in-depth practice of senior high school information technology core literacy, the score of subject ability to carry out correlation analysis and regression analysis of information technology and mathematics scores. the analysis results show that there is a significant correlation between information technology and mathematics, and the correlation between information technology and ordinary classes is greater than that of key classes, which proves that it is necessary to carry out curriculum integration in information technology and mathematics. © 2022 IET conference Proceedings. Classroom teaching behavior coding has received widespread attention from classroom analysis researchers in China in recent years. However, in the context of big data, how to effectively analyze the data of classroom teaching behavior is an important problem that urgently needs to be solved. In combination with bibliometric means, 422 articles published from 2004 to 2022 are encoded and analyzed. the analysis found that with the vigorous development of classroom teaching behavior coding, a new trend of interdisciplinary integration and the applied topic fields are gradually expanding from micro to macro. © 2022 IET conference Proceedings.
