this paper focuses on the relationship between Java method's first word (prefix) and its implementation, for predicting fault-prone method. As a pilot study of the focused way of analysis, this paper analyzes three major prefixes of methods' names: "get", "set" and "be." the empirical study in this paper collects many data of methods' names and implementation features and analyzes abnormality of relationship between methods' names and their implementation features. then, the study examines the relationship between a method's abnormality and its fault-proneness in eight open source software products. the empirical results prove the usefulness of focusing on the gap between methods' names and their implementation features in predicting fault-prone methods.

the migration of mission-critical workloads to the cloud and the automation of various aspects of datacenter management is contributing to the evolution of software-defined infrastructures. One implication of this evolution is that the composition (both physical and virtual) and logical topology of datacenters is becoming even more dynamic. Identification of performance problems (e.g. bottlenecks) in such environments needs to be done with awareness of this dynamic topology to understand the impact of dependencies among components. A technique is introduced that a) employs expert knowledge to identify bottleneck components using associated performance metrics, and b) utilizes dynamic dependencies to rank problem components in order to facilitate diagnosis efforts. the technique is demonstrated experimentally on an OpenStack testbed with realistic fault injection. Results of experiment case studies show that the technique is able to correctly detect and rank problem nodes.

Dimension reduction and classification of data is an important issue in the data processing. Reduct in the rough set is a minimal subset of features, which has the same discernible power as the entire features in the higher dimensional scheme. Boolean threshold function was of fundamental interest for classification function. the nearest neighbor relation with minimal distance proposed here has a fundamental information for classification. Further, the nearest neighbor relation plays a crucial role for generation of reducts and threshold functions using the Boolean reasoning on the discernibility and in discernibility matrices, in which the indiscernibility matrix is proposed here to test the sufficient condition for reduct and threshold function. then, a genetation method for the threshold functions based on the nearest neighbor relation are proposed here using Boolean operations.

Recently, the number of foreigners living in or visiting Japan has increased. Foreigners in Japan use a wide range of languages, and handling all of these languages is difficult. Although machine translation can be used to provide economical translations, cases exist in which this technology does not generate sentences that properly communicate the meaning of the original text depending on the source language. this research proposes a translation process that applies statement restriction rules to create sentences that can be easily machine translated in order to improve the quality of multilingual translation. It is based on the hypothesis that statement restriction rules meant to improve the translation quality of a given language pair (such as Japanese to English) will also improve machine translation quality for other language pairs. In this research, we create Japanese statement restriction rules based on Japanese-English translations, and demonstrate that the proposed translation process can be effective in translating Japanese sentences created with these statement restriction rules into English, Chinese, and Korean.

Parkinson Disorder is a gradually increasing neurodegenerative disorder of motor and non-motor symptoms can impact on human basic functions to a wide variety of range. this computational study describes the essential 4 features of the arm to predict the actual result of Parkinson disorder computationally. Vector velocity and dimension reduction, these two mathematical evaluations are analyzed to detect joints and Mean Instantaneous Velocity is calculated to predict the actual Parkinson Disease of the affected patients. Many scientists used different classification models for predicting the disorder but as this is an abnormality in the neurons creates an effect on positional change, so we consider velocity as the most important evaluating parameter. DNN classifier has been used for the intermediate result to get the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of the analysis. Randomly 30Hz sampling frequency was chosen to capture the whole data but a proper prediction technique to analyze the Parkinson Disorder in certain frequency always not shows a satisfactory result. the analysis in different sampling frequency is required to improve the prediction and for clarification of the result.

Recommender systems are beneficial to both service providers and users, as they offer item recommendations to individual users based on their preferences. In this paper, we propose a hybrid recommender system based on a widely used topic modeling method: supervised latent Dirichlet allocation (sLDA). this supervised topic model provides a simple clustering method for analyzing large volumes of unlabeled data from potential items. We use matrix factorization based on sLDA for topic finding in item-feature spaces, enabling hybrid recommendations using topic distributions and a user rating matrix. the proposed model can learn latent factors for predicting unknown ratings and recommending new items, thus addressing the cold-start problem, as any user can be recommended items that have not yet been provided with ratings. Our results show that the proposed method improves upon several baselines for the Jester dataset.

Debug is a software development task to find and correct the cause of a failed program execution. A diagnosis is a hypothesis to specify the cause and to explain the process for a program to fail. Evaluating the relevance of maintainers' internal thoughts is very important for conducting an experiment to evaluate a new debugger. We believe that analysis of such relevance gives us precise explanations of experimental results, which tells how a new debugger supports participants. We are now developing a dynamic analysis to obtain a data that enables us to evaluate the relevance of internal thoughts by a maintainer trying to make a diagnosis. Such a data, called materialized infection, enables us to check if execution points referenced by a maintainer implement the chain of infection to make a program fails. In this paper we explain the concepts of our dynamic analysis and discuss its limitations and future work.

Recent studies empirically revealed a relationship between source code comments and code quality. those studies considered activity-based metrics as quality indicators. Project management tasks often used source code-based metrics, and analysis of such metrics can also give a useful insight into the relationship. Objective: To clarify the relationship between comments and code quality with CK metrics. Method: Compare distributions of CK metrics between commented files and noncommented files over four OSS projects. Results: Files with comments tend to be more complex than those without any comments regarding CBO, LCOM, RFC, and WMC. the differences in such metrics were statistically significant. Conclusions: Commented files were prone to be complex and thus less maintainable. the results suggest that developers should take notice of comments and code beside them.

Endoscopes are widely used for polyp diagnosis in medical scene. Automatic polyp detection is needed for reducing the burden on doctors and *** paper proposes an automatic polyp detection method. First, polyp candidate regions are extracted by creating likelihood maps using edge and color information of the endoscope image. Second, features of candidate regions are extracted by using Convolutional Neural Network as a feature extractor. Finally, polyps are detected by classifying polyp existence of the candidate region using Support Vector Machine as a *** of the proposed method is conducted using actual endoscope images.

the threat of cybercrimes has recently increased as the Internet has becomes more of a necessity. therefore, the importance of information security is also increasing. In addition to information-security technology, determining an information-security policy is important. For example, in the information security management system, the three elements of confidentiality, availability, and integrity are maintained with sufficient balance, enabling continuous improvement. However, a strict information-security policy may decrease security consciousness of the employee of a field. A report of the National Institute of Standards and Technology also defines the fatigue produced by carrying out computer-safety measures as "Security Fatigue". In this paper, we propose a model for visualizing the security-fatigue level. We evaluated the model and found that it contributes to a safe and secure ICT infrastructure.
