this study proposes a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) based system to aid visually impaired individuals by classifying road surfaces. Leveraging image analysis and processing techniques, the model uses laser beams to identify road types under different conditions, including low-light scenarios. the challenge faced by visually impaired people in navigating roads with traditional white canes limited in scope and effectiveness motivated this research. the system incorporates a custom dataset of over 3000 high-quality images, employing contour detection to recognize obstacles and road types from various distances. the model achieves an accuracy exceeding 99% indicating reliability. this advancement offers a significant improvement in navigation and safety providing a practical solution for enhancing mobility and independence for visually impaired users. Future work will focus on expanding the model to detect additional objects further enhancing user safety and environmental awareness. © 2025 IEEE.

Natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) are widely used energy sources in households, but they pose significant safety risks. To mitigate these dangers, we have developed an IoT-based safety system designed for early detection and intervention. the system promptly identifies gas leaks and automatically shuts off the gas supply to prevent potential hazards. It is also equipped with a camera for detecting fires in vulnerable areas. Key features include real-time monitoring of gas concentrations and ambient temperature, displayed on an integrated interface, and the transmission of emergency alerts to users via the Blynk mobile application. the system is composed of a central control unit and multiple sub-units strategically placed in high-risk areas to enhance safety coverage. this cost-effective and efficient solution offers a proactive approach to preventing accidents, safeguarding lives, and protecting property. © 2025 IEEE.

this paper proposes a fractional dual tree complex wavelet packet domain based transform (Fr-DT-CWPT) for image watermarking. the poor directionality and lack in shift invariance problems of discrete wavelet transform (DWT) be able to conquer by DTCWT. the recursive process of DT-CWT on lowpass and highpass responses can improve the effectiveness of the system for more analysis. this process is known as dual tree complex wavelet packet transform (DT-CWPT). In this paper, the amalgamation of fractional Fourier transform (FrFT), DT-CWPT and singular value decomposition (SVD) is presented for image watermarking application. the performance of the method is analyzed by using different watermarks with different performance matrics i.e. peak signal to noise ratio while considering the human visual system and correlation coefficient (CC). To prove the strength of watermarking method, various attacks were performed and the results are presented which indicates a substantial enhancement as compare to other alive methods. © 2025 the Author(s).

Our research demonstrates a discrete speech system that empowers those afflicted with speech impairments to convey ideas by internally articulating words without producing audible sound. this method harnesses the minimal movements involved in articulation, making it less arduous than conventional vocalization, especially for individuals facing communication challenges. Silent Speech Interfaces (SSIs) form the foundation of our research, enabling the decoding of neuromuscular signals associated with internal speech articulation to facilitate non-invasive and effective communication for individuals with speech impairments. this research entails the utilization of a multi-electrode configuration to capture subtle, low-voltage electrical signals positioned on the surface area of the subject's neck. these signals emerge as a consequence of neural activation within the speech articulator muscles, signifying the internal articulation of words within the oral cavity, accompanied by minimal physical movement. Subsequent to signal acquisition, a comprehensive analysis of the data is conducted using a biosensing board (Cyton), facilitated by the implementation of the OpenBCI GUI interface and visualization via Python plotting tools. © 2025 IEEE.

To fully harness the capabilities of computer graphics and image processing technologies and elevate the quality of visual communication design, this paper presents a comprehensive suite of innovative methodologies. Firstly, the fundamental principles of primary colors are utilized to formulate a series of vector functions, facilitating the precise calculation of error distances and the establishment of an intricate visual communication zoning model. Subsequently, through the exhaustive extraction of pertinent feature information from graphics and images, we achieve the scientific encoding of coefficient-constrained features and determine the corresponding hyperplanes to acquire the relevant parameters for visual communication. Eventually, the implementation of advanced design image expression algorithms markedly enhances the effectiveness of visual communication image representation. the empirical findings reveal that these visual communication design methods exhibit remarkable reliability and feasibility, effectively boosting image recognition accuracy across four distinct image categories with varying levels of complexity, thereby yielding exceptional visual communication outcomes. © 2025 SPIE.

this study discussed image processing used to imprecision of micro product blanking. image processing has been developed to improve the precision in the inspection process. image of specimen, operate image to grey scale, binary of the image, operational mathematic of the binary image, and wide of inaccurate were studied in this study. the image of the micro blanking product could be taken with a digital microscopy camera, the image could be processed to show inaccuracy, and image processing could be used to analysis and measure wide of imprecision. Specimen more the 40 tend to imprecision and specimen more than 60 were not precision. the represent that tool must be changed when forced aluminium plate to dies at 40. © 2025 Institute of Physics Publishing. the development of machine learning is driving revolutionary changes and unprecedented opportunities across various industries. this paper introduces a new temperature monitoring method that combines the efficient deep learning model EfficientNet with Optical Frequency Domain Reflectometry (OFDR). We utilize distributed fiber-optic sensing technology based on OFDR to collect one-dimensional temperature signals under different temperature conditions, which we then transform into a two-dimensional image format suitable for machine learning processing. the dataset is subsequently trained using the EfficientNet deep learning model. the results show that the trained model achieves a high accuracy rate of 97.5% on the test dataset. this research not only demonstrates the feasibility of efficiently and accurately monitoring temperature changes but also provides new solutions and technological pathways for areas such as environmental monitoring, industrial automation, and safety systems. © 2025 SPIE.

In medical imaging, image preprocessing is especially significant in the analysis of lumpy skin disease in animals. these challenges are well-marked, from preserving quality during resizing across different algorithms used with those techniques in a dataset. In the paper, several recent resizing methods are discussed including fixed size, aspect ratio preservation, crop, and even more advanced methods of interpolation;these include nearest neighbor, bilinear, bicubic, and Lanczos interpolation. these interpolation techniques were applied on images of infected cattle skin in order to focus on performance-based metrics such as Structural Similarity Index (SSIM), Mean Squared Error (MSE), and Peak signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR). the proposed objective is to evaluate whether these resizing techniques preserve the quality of the images. the results show that advanced interpolation methods, such as bicubic and Lanczos, are particularly good at achieving a high similarity with the original image. However, the analysis was limited to a single image, so validating the conclusion across a more diverse set of datasets is necessary. Future work involves combining recent resizing methods with the extension of this approach for images with other conditions, such as blur, brightness, and contrast variations, to improve the generalizability and robustness of such methods. © 2025 IEEE.

In the field of computer vision and image processing, texture provides critical visual clues about the composition of internal regions of an image. this paper proposes a novel texture image classification method using persistent homology (PH) theory from topological data analysis (TDA) to extract topological information of texture images at different scales and dimensions. We convert texture images into grayscale images and use their pixel intensity values as filtration thresholds, tracking changes in 0-dimensional and 1-dimensional persistent homology classes under different thresholds to generate persistence diagrams of the texture images. the persistence images are then converted into feature vectors. Our method is validated with 10-fold cross-validation using a random forest model on the Kylberg dataset and Kth-TIPS dataset, achieving accuracies of 99.84% and 87.90%, respectively. © 2025 SPIE.
