In recent years, driven by the new generation of artificial intelligence technology, emotional computing has garnered significant attention and achieved substantial progress. Multimodal emotional computing based on technologies such as deep learning, computer vision, wearable computing, multimodal machine learning, and reinforcement learning has emerged as a research focus. Emotional computing research is shifting from the cognition of human emotions to a novel stage of emotional interaction. It becomes feasible to construct multimodal emotional interaction application systems with the ability of emotional care. this paper proposes a multimodal emotional care system based on wearable computing and reinforcement learning, introduces the overall architecture and core components of the system, and discusses the problems and solutions faced by the system, which has important value for how to build a dynamic, real-time and highly personalized emotional interaction application based on the user's current emotional state. © 2024 IEEE.

In an aging society, intelligent senior apartments have become important. In this study, a smart senior apartment was designed to meet the needs of the elderly using human-computer interaction technology. A user-centered design was used to design an intelligent senior apartment for the special needs and preferences of the elderly. By integrating advanced smart technologies, the quality of life of the elderly can be improved to provide comprehensive medical and social support. © 2024 IEEE.

Designing and developing digital technological systems and their interactive interfaces as better companion with hominine characteristics is an active research hot-spot. Exploring the domain of facilitating machines with affective and cognitive intelligence and understanding the users is increasingly attracting the interest of researchers who are working in the field of human-computer interaction. If the interactive interfaces of digital system are enriched with human-like characteristics and such systems have an understanding of user's affective state (personality, mood and emotions) along with the ability to respond accordingly during interaction then definitely these intelligent hominine interfaces will be more natural, enjoyable, friendly and believable. the key challenge is to determine most appropriate techniques and models for generating these futuristic harmonious intelligent affective interfaces and services which may be quite different from their present GUI counterparts. this paper presents an infrastructural approach for machines to first realize the user's affective space and then creating its own cognitive and affective space to respond appropriately and harmoniously to the user. the proposed work suggests the methods and models to identify/determine user's personality (through AN-ECHO model), emotions (through facial expression recognition method) and mood (through computational model). the proposed approach uses personality along with user-profiling method to understand user's interests, preferences, characteristics, expectations etc. in order to incorporate cognitive intelligence. In this way, the proposed approach facilitates the machine to assess personality, mood and emotions of the user to express personalized and adaptive behavior to the user.

the purpose of this paper is designing an intelligent question-answering system. In the context of education informatization, university students tend to lack guidance in their studies. this paper proposes an intelligent Q&A system for university teaching that integrates intelligent dialogue and machine learning technologies. the proposed system includes intelligent Q&A module, the tutor recommend & match module, tutor Q&A system module, Q&A forum Module and user compasrison report module. the system utilizes BERT model, collaborative filtering recommendation algorithm, multi-threaded programming, TF-IDF algorithm and K-Means algorithm to implement the modules in the system. the proposed system deployed with Aliyun cloud server, CDN, load balancing, client testing, and online optimization. the pilot of this system demonstrated excellent performance: an average of 4 queries per person, with an average query duration of 7 minutes. the success rate of problem resolution reached 85%, and the average response time was 30 seconds. this system will promote the health of the education industry and enable intelligent learning diagnosis. the authors hope to contribute to improving the quality of life of college students and society by designing an intelligent question and answer system.

this paper addresses the need for a standardized Chinese human body model library in visual simulation evaluation tools for ergonomics analysis. the study investigates various evaluation methods such as Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA), NIOSH 1981, NIOSH 1991, Snook & Ciriello 1991, among others. Using open-source component packages such as QT, OGRE, and OPENCV, an ergonomics-oriented visual simulation evaluation system is designed. the system enables visualization of scene construction, human activity design, simulation, and human-mechanical ergonomics evaluation. Leveraging the Chinese human body standard model, a human-machine activity simulation case similar to DELMIA is developed. the effectiveness and feasibility of the system design are validated by comparing the analysis results of human-machine ergonomics evaluation.

Reconstructing HDR images from a single LDR image with noise and saturated regions is a highly challenging problem. Recent approaches have utilized cascaded network structures to address this challenge in image space. However, this approach increases the difficulty of network training and may lead to cumulative errors. To this end, we propose a feature modulation network (FMN) for image denoising and HDR generation in feature space. Our FMN introduces a simple yet effective Feature Modulation Block (FMB) that combines an Enhanced Attention Module (EAM) and a Dilated Residual Dense Block (DRDB). the EAM effectively eliminates image noise using multiple residual blocks, while the DRDB learns the details lost in saturated regions of the input image with a large receptive field. Moreover, we employ a Space Feature Transform (SFT) layer to perform spatial-wise feature modulation. Extensive experiments are conducted on publicly available datasets, and the results demonstrate that our method achieves competitive performance compared to state-of-the-art methods.

With the continuous development of intelligent driving technology, the reliability of sensor data is crucial to ensure driving safety and improve the performance of automatic driving. However, in the face of increasingly sophisticated and intelligent attack methods, the risk of tampering with sensor data is also increasing. therefore, this study aims to develop an intelligent driving sensor data tampering risk detection method based on convolutional neural networks to effectively address this challenge. this paper firstly analyzes the potential threat of sensor data tampering to driving safety and system performance in intelligent driving system. Secondly, we propose a risk detection framework based on convolutional neural networks to identify and detect tampering of sensor data. the framework combines the advantages of convolutional neural networks to determine whether the data has been tampered with by learning the feature representation of sensor data. We designed a deep convolutional neural network model with multiple convolutional layers and pooled layers, and trained and validated it with a large amount of real driving data. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, we constructed a dataset containing different types of attacks and compared it with other commonly used tamper detection methods.

intelligent tutoring systems (ITSs) represent a particular kind of eleaming systems, which base their operation on the simulation of a human teacher in the learning and teaching process. With the advent of the mobile computing paradigm, m-learning systems, as the "portable and personal" fashion of e-learning, paved the way to the introduction of mobile intelligent tutoring. Mobile intelligent tutoring systems (MITSs) are targeted to fit into a mobile learner's daily routine without disrupting her/his other activities, but conversely enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of learning in the context of handheld terminals of restricted capabilities. As in the non-portable ITS counterparts, MITSs' tasks are taken over by agents, making them agent-based systems. In this paper we discuss the mobile intelligent tutoring paradigm, as well as the agent types to be used in the m-learning environment along with the presently affordable agent infrastructure enabling MITS implementation, and corroborate this with the description of a mobile intelligent tutoring model we are developing.

Recently, many groups (see Zander and Kothe. Towards passive brain–computer interfaces: applying brain–computer interface technology to human–machine systems in general. J. Neural Eng., 8, 2011) have worked toward expanding brain-computer interface (BCI) systems to include not only active control, but also passive mental state monitoring to enhance human-computer interaction (HCI). Many studies have shown that brain imaging technologies can reveal information about the affective and cognitive state of a subject, and that the interaction between humans and machines can be aided by the recognition of those user states. New developments including practical sensors, new machine learning software, and improved interaction with the HCI community are leading us to systems that seamlessly integrate passively recorded information to improve interactions with the outside world.

Text similarity detection is a crucial task within the field of natural language processing Traditional word embedding methods consider about either semantics or structure of the text, and rarely consider knowledge-based information. therefore, these methods have insufficient information for text representation and are ineffective in dealing with word polysemy and deep interactions among words. In this paper, firstly HowNet, as a knowledge base, is introduced in the graph attention networks to encode the sememes in HowNet. Secondly, we design the self-attention mechanism to strengthen the correlation among words obtained from the graph attention networks. Finally, the enhanced word vectors are fused with the word vectors generated by the pre-trained BERT model to obtain a more comprehensive text representation. the experiments conducted on three Chinese datasets demonstrate the superior performance of our model outperforms other conventional text similarity detection models.
