Web usability in business applications is crucial for enhancing productivity and preventing critical user errors. One of the effective methods to enhance the usability is employment of usability features such as auto-complete and input validation. then, such employment should be designed so as to conform to actual end-users. However, its evaluation forces developers to expend a lot of effort to design an application, to create its Web prototypes, to observe user operations with the prototypes, and to assess the usability of the employed usability features. In this paper, a framework is proposed for evaluating the usability depending on the employment efficiently even if the developers are nonusability- specialists. Our framework has characteristics as follows so that the developers can easily determine the usability with low creation costs. (1) Support for creating Web prototypes, observing user operations, and assessing the usability are integrated centered on a model-driven approach. (2) the usability can be evaluated relatively and quantitatively by recording user operations and analyzing the resulting logs.

Robotics systems have special needs often related with their real-time nature and environmental properties. Often, control and communication paths within the system are tightly coupled to the actual physical configuration of the robot. As a consequence, these robots can only be assembled, configured, and programmed by robot experts. Traditional approaches, based on mainly writing the code without using software engineering techniques, are still used in the development process of these systems. Even when these robotic systems are successfully used, several problems can be identified and it is widely accepted that new approaches should be explored. the contribution of this research consists in delineating guidelines for the construction of robotic software systems, taking advantage of the application of the OMG standard robotic specifications which adhere to the model-driven approach MDA. thereby the expert knowledge is captured in standard abstract models that can then be reused by other less experienced developers. In addition part of the code is automatically generated, reducing costs and improving quality.

Requirement elicitation (RE) is one of the main tasks that must be performed in order to guarantee the correct implementation of a software development. Its incorrect specification can cause unnecessary overdue costs for the project and, in some cases, its complete failure. the objective of this paper is to provide a state of the art of the elicitation models that makes simultaneous use of two well-known techniques: the use cases model and user stories. the systematic literature review was chosen as a supportive investigation methodology. From the 45 found publications, the search strategy identified 11 studies and 3 methodological proposals: Athena, K-gileRE and NORMAP. Finally, after having reviewed the literature, it was found that there are a few validated proposals that makes use of the combination of user stories and use cases models. Also, there is not enough information to acknowledge the actual efficacy of combining both techniques.

there are several models used in the software process improvement such as CMMI and ISO/IEC 15504 that provide advantages to software organizations, like their improvement in ability and maturity which is reflected in their competitiveness. However, most of the time they are not properly implemented, demanding too many resources and long-term commitments, hindering its implementation in software organizations. Moreover, a properly implementation of a model or standard, involves not only the definition of processes, but introducing the organizations in the development of a continuous process improvement culture. In this context, a feasible way to achieve continuous process improvement is the optimization of processes through their lightening. this paper presents the results of a systematic review method in order to establish the state of art for lightening software process, focusing on three aspects: (1) frameworks, methods and methodologies;(2) targeted processes;and (3) strategies.

Definition and implementation of the Enterprise Business Layer, is focused on strengthening the business architecture and IT governance. this work allows the company to define, and to be clear about the key elements of the business, also allows to establish the business baseline and the target business state. this work uses ADM-TOGAF v9. Based on this, the iteration of architectural capability of ADM has been tackled (Preliminary Phase and Architecture Vision), that has allowed the creation and evolution of the architectural capability required to start the exercise of enterprise architecture, this includes the establishment of an approach, principles, scope, vision and architectural governance. the architecture capability iteration serve as input for the first phase of the development iteration (Business Architecture), in which it has been performed the AS-IS and TO-BE analysis "as reported by Giraldo et al. (Propuesta de arquitectura empresarial proyecto banco los alpes)" [1], which enables to establish the key points that should a company take to improve their current business scheme.

Reliability is the chief quality that one wishes for in anything. Reliability is also the main issue with computer systems. One of the purposes of system reliability analysis is to identify the weakness in a system and to quantify the impact of component failures. However, existing reliability prediction approaches for component-based software systems are limited in their applicability because they either neglect or do not support modeling explicitly several factors like error propagation, software fault tolerance mechanisms. In this paper, we evaluate reliability prediction of component-based system and fault tolerance structures technique by applying Pham Nordmann Zhang (PNZ) model, one of the best models based on non homogeneous Poisson process. Our approach uses a reliability modeling schema whose models are automatically transformed by a reliability prediction tool into PNZ models for reliability predictions and sensitivity analyses. Via these our case studies, we demonstrate its applicability and introduce how much reliability of software system can be improved by using fault tolerance structures technique. © ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering 2016.

Collaborative Learning model Of software engineering Using Github is a learning method based on the Student-Centered Learning (SCL) that combines the collaborative method with the help of instructional media such as Github which implemented at courses of software engineering. core courses of informatics engineering study program is defined a software engineering. the outcome of this course is that students are able to apply the principles of software development. A medium is required to assist students in collaborative learning process so that the learning objectives can be achieved. Github is a web-based software that can be used as a medium for collaborating in the development of application software projects. Github is a source code management (SCM). Train Ten thousand Teachers (T10kT) outreach project at IIT Bombay has optimally utilized the latest ICT tools and platforms for Teacher Professional development at large scale in distance mode. Since its inception in 2009, the project has provided training to about 120,000 teachers from more than 4060 institutions spread across the country across three phases. the project utilizes a blended format in which live lectures are transmitted synchronously using the A-VIEW software and asynchronous interactions are facilitated in Moodle platform. In the current phase, the project utilizes IIT BombayX platform to provide Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) so as to include a wider spectrum of learners. In this work we look at the model used by the T10kT team and inspect the results from 15 Synchronous STTPs conducted to answer the following research questions: Do institutions registering with T10kT project prefer the distance mode of training? Do the learning activities within T10kT STTPs provide perception of learning and motivate participants to apply them? What are instructors' perceptions of T10kT based instruction in terms of modification in pedagogy and overall implementation? It is seen that 127 institutions have been recurrent participants and there has been four-fold increase in the number of participating institutions indicating the preference of this model. 92% of all the teachers who have participated in the phase II courses found the workshop experience to be highly beneficial and about 93% have indicated high positive intent to apply the workshop learning in their immediate practice. the feedback from the instructors indicate that transition from face-to-face to synchronous T10kT mode was not challenging and the instructors need to focus on learner centered practices for effective learning experience. A limitation that is seen with the current study is that it does not look into transfer of workshop learning in actual practice. However the project has started
