this study presents a novel approach to phishing email detection, leveraging artificial neural networks (ANN) with soft attention in natural language processing (NLP) through the integration of BERT encoders. Addressing the critical need for effective aritifical intelligence (AI)-driven cybersecurity solutions, this research combines BERT’s NLP capabilities with a modified crayfish optimization algorithm (COA) to fine-tune the hyperparameters of deep neural network models, enhancing classification accuracy. Experimental results show that our optimized model achieves a phishing detection accuracy of 92.5%, outperforming several high-performing optimizers. Comparative analysis demonstrates that this approach offers superior detection capabilities, underscoring its potential for real-world applications. this work advances the field by refining BERT’s application with optimization algorithms and provides a valuable framework for future cybersecurity research. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

the inception of genetic algorithms in the 80's laid a strong foundation in the theory of optimization. Numerous engineering applications are rewarded with wings of optimal and faster solutions through suitable genetic modelling. So far, a handful of evolutionary algorithms and modelling have been introduced by researchers. this has led to vivid applications in numerous domains. In this paper a customized evolutionary framework is proposed that is blended with deep learning mechanism. the widely used convolutional neural networks (CNN) model has been customized whereby optimally informative features are selected through intermittent genetic optimization. the inherent convolution layer outcomes are subjected to the optimizer module that in turn results in optimized set of feature points. the pooling process is abandoned for the purpose;thus, getting rid of uniform feature selection. Now, with this model the feature selection inhibits dynamic process of optimized feature selection. Case study on the usage of the same is shown on classification of facial expression images. Performance of the proposed mechanism is further compared with the simulated outcomes of the generic CNN model. Nevertheless, to say the results show promising rate of efficiency.

the Internet is the most complex machine humankind has ever built, and how to defense it from intrusions is even more complex. With the ever increasing of new intrusions, intrusion detection task rely on Artificial Intelligence more and more. Interpretability and transparency of the machine learning model is the foundation of trust in AI-driven intrusion detection results. Current interpretation Artificial Intelligence technologies in intrusion detection are heuristic, which is neither accurate nor sufficient. this paper proposed a rigorous interpretable Artificial Intelligence driven intrusion detection approach, based on formal logic calculations. Details of rigorous interpretation calculation process for a decision tree model is presented. Prime implicant explanation for benign traffic flow are given in detail as rule for negative selection of the cyber immune system. Experiments are carried out in real-life traffic.

this paper first presents a new system design paradigm by which unified functional specifications of a system are made possible by introducing data-driven interpretation of a set of multi-lateral graphical descriptions equally applicable for software and hardware portions of the system implementation. It is also presented that the software portions of the system specifications are directly convertible into executable target programs on data-driven processors without losing any structural features inherently built into the original system specifications. then, the data-driven processors are shown to be realizable by a self-timed pipeline structure naturally suitable for ULSI realizations in terms of power consumption and latency tolerance. therefore, if the hardware portions of the system are also implemented by the same self-timed configuration, it is possible to realize a seamless unification of the software and hardware functions of the system on a single chip. Finally some examples of system realization are presented with special emphasis on possible applications to soft-computing such as genetic algorithms. At present time, medical field is rapidly broadening as a result of inventive image processing technologies.
