By 2030 greenhouse gas emissions should be reduced by at least 55%. Despite hardware becoming more energy-efficient (Koomey's law), the ever-increasing reliance on computer technology has increased the energy usage due to ICT significantly. In software engineering (SE), there are many choices from programming languages to development patterns that influence energy efficiency. Recent research inspired our work on incorporating energy efficiency into SE education. An international group of researchers formulated initial recommendations for introducing green and sustainable software engineering [4] to students. An EU-US team formulated more refined recommendations for introducing green thinking as modules in existing courses [3]. ICT4S'22 best paper addressed HES eco-anxiety when teaching sustainability [2]. In this work we report on the experience of introducing reflection on energy efficiency into the default requirements of a SE course, and how that influenced students to address energy efficiency in their projects. Out of 8 teams, 7 implemented at least a small energy-efficient component. However, as one group donated to a climate charity in bitcoins, we need more ways to raise awareness.

For commercial fitness clubs, consumer satisfaction is a key factor influencing conversion rates, renewal rates, and overall profitability. It is characterized by volatility, necessitating continuous assessment. this study, based on the gray 0-1 programming model, proposed an evaluation method that can identify and rank the indicators of consumer satisfaction in commercial fitness clubs, aiming to enhance consumer satisfaction and improve operator profits. In this context, consumers are defined as individuals with both demand and purchasing power, intending to purchase services or have already consumed them. the results demonstrate that although this method involves complex steps and high survey costs, its compensation effects and dynamic control advantages make it rational in practical applications. this not only promotes the use of gray programming in the interdisciplinary field of sports but also provides valuable insights into the sustainable development of commercial fitness clubs.

Emotions classification or valence extraction in textual datasets, *** students' opinion data, is becoming an emerging topic aimed at understanding the impact or intensities of words (terms) used by the users in the different contexts/applications. the method (emotional valence) for textual data scrutiny and exploration have proved to be central to the human experience analysis. To this effect, this study implements a text mining approach that determines the impact of the emotional valence (textual data quantification) shown by the students in their feedback provided during the semester course (pre and post) to determine its (emotional classification) relation or interconnectedness withthe students' learning outcome and performance. the proposed method is designed based on the appraisal theories and component process model (CPM) that studies the degree of pleasantness or goal achievement as an effect of valence judgements. Technically, the study identifies the top terms in the students' data that can be used to draw insights or understand the learning experiences or performance by using Corpus feature selection and Term document matrix word processing libraries in R programming software. Also, it utilized the emotional valence score (quantified data) extracted from the analyzed (textual) data to statistically investigate the correlation and effect of the emotions scores (polarization or intensity of words) expressed by the students withtheir final grade or learning outcome using Sentiment Analysis package and Statistical analysis methods such as the Spearman's rho (ρ), Kendall's tau (r), and Kruskal-Wallis H-Test in R. the results shows that while in overall the emotional valence of the students do not influence or determine the outcome of their study or final average grade (p>0.05).
