Associating targets detected by heterogeneous imaging sensors is a key issue in Target recognition based on multi-sensor image fusion. Traditional algorithms often use a single type of information from the image to calculate the cost matrix between sensor-detected targets, such as attribute information or position information. When multiple targets have similar information, these methods often lead to incorrect associations and are susceptible to sensor system errors and environmental factors. However, as technology advances, the information that sensors can detect is becoming more diverse and abundant. thus, this paper proposes an algorithm that combines grey relational analysis based on target attribute information and DBSCAN clustering analysis based on position information. Using Dempster-Shafer evidence theory, the algorithm fuses the two types of information to achieve target association for heterogeneous imaging sensors. According to Monte Carlo simulation experiments using ships as targets, comparative experiments were conducted with grey relational analysis based on attribute information, bias mapping clustering based on position information, and the weighted bipartite graph optimal solution algorithm that uses both attribute and position information as features. the experimental results indicate that the algorithm proposed in this paper can overcome the limitations of single-information target association. It effectively mitigates the impacts of false alarms and positional distribution, thereby improving the accuracy of target association for heterogeneous imaging sensors.

With the rapid development of 5G and IoT, traditional cloud computing faces limitations due to increasing demands. Edge computing addresses these issues by offloading tasks to nearby nodes, thereby improving efficiency and user experience for latency-sensitive applications such as live video and autonomous driving. However, balancing energy consumption and latency in heterogeneous edge devices remains a challenge, particularly as previous studies often overlook user mobility. In this work, we tackle the problem of data stream processing (DSP) task placement within dynamic user mobility scenarios, addressing the challenges posed by frequent movement. Additionally, we introduce a reinforcement learning approach to enhance the adaptability of DSP tasks, allowing the system to effectively adjust to changing user mobility patterns. through simulation experiments, it is verified that compared with the traditional method, the algorithm proposed in this paper effectively optimizes energy consumption and delay while considering the mobility attributes, and improves the utilization rate of each edge node. © 2025 SPIE.

the field of end-to-end text spotting has garnered significant interest in recent years, propelled by the revealed intrinsic synergies between scene text detection and recognition. While advancements have been made, the challenge of arbitrarily shaped scene text spotting persists. this paper introduces an innovative feature augmentation module that addresses the issues of limited receptive fields and weak representation typical of lightweight backbone networks, while also enhancing multi-scale information more effectively and reducing information loss during feature aggregation. Crowdsourcing is a way to solve complex tasks by publicly collecting solutions on the network. the crowdsourcing system that provides task completion and solution reuse facilitates human life and promotes economic development. With the rise of blockchain technology, it is possible to design and implement a decentralized crowdsourcing scheme. However, due to the nature of data sharing on the blockchain, there are many challenges in the blockchain-based crowdsourcing scheme. In this paper, we first classify the required properties of blockchain-based decentralized crowdsourcing scheme including fairness, reusability and integrity. And then we propose a novel blockchain-based secure crowdsourcing scheme to support solution reuse using the Pedersen commitment, Paillier cryptosystem, secure hash function and Diffie-Hellman key exchange. the security analysis shows that our scheme satisfies the above requirements. Finally, we simulated the crowdsourcing task that may exist in the real world and evaluated the experimental results. © 2025 SPIE.

Image segmentation is a crucial task in computer vision that involves dividing an image into distinct regions, with each region containing pixels that share similar attributes. Traditional methods like Otsu, Sobel, and Canny often suffer from high computational complexity and sensitivity to parameters. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a lightweight image segmentation algorithm that integrates MobileNetv3-Small with a global context block attention mechanism. MobileNetv3 leverages depthwise separable convolutions and optimized architecture to significantly reduce computational load and parameter count. To further improve segmentation accuracy, a deformable convolutional network is employed during feature extraction, while the global context block attention mechanism enhances focus on target regions. the proposed algorithm not only improves segmentation performance but also offers a lightweight solution suitable for resource-constrained environments. © 2025 SPIE.

the accelerated connectivity across almost all entities of the globe has eventually escalated the number of Internet of things (IoT) and Industrial IoT (IIoT) devices. these objects need seamless internet access which makes them vulnerable to various types of cyber-attacks at various layers. Many innovative and efficient solutions are developed for preventing these attacks and protecting the devices and data from malicious access. However, new forms of attacks continue to surge every year, which necessitates the development of more adaptive solutions by harnessing the attack profile data. the proposed research work constructs a heterogeneous ensemble model consisting of different types of base machine learning algorithms. these models explore the network profile data of the IoT and IIoT devices to extract inherent and latent features from it and predicts the network activity. Later, the predictions of the individual base learners are aggregated using a meta learner model to give the final prediction. the performance of the proposed ensemble model is validated using standard prediction metrics to assess its performance. As future research extension many base learners could be integrated to form a more efficient and powerful ensemble model with novel aggregation techniques. © 2025 IEEE.

Myocardial infarction (MI) is a leading cause of death and disability, underscoring the critical importance of accurate and effective assessment of myocardial viability. However, existing CNNs are insufficient for extracting long-range contexts information, while the computational cost of Transformer architectures is prohibitively high, making segmentation of scars and edema in multi-center cardiac MRI (CMR) sequences particularly challenging. To address this issue, we propose Mamaba Enhanced UNet (ME-UNet), a deep learning architecture that integrates the advantages of the U-Net model with residual mechanisms and state space models (SSMs) for the segmentation of myocardial scars and edema. the advantage of ME-UNet lies in its Vision Mamba block, which significantly enhances the model’s ability to extract global information. Additionally, Enhanced 3D residual block (E3DR) further enhances and consolidates the extraction of local and spatial information. Experimental results demonstrate that ME-UNet exhibits exceptional performance on the MyoPS challenge dataset, effectively segmenting myocardial scars and edema, thereby validating the efficacy of our framework. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

the protection issues with photovoltaic (PV) systems which are crucial for producing sustainable energy are thoroughly reviewed in this work. Unidirectional power flow, fault isolation and detection, inverter protection, overvoltage and overcurrent, arc faults, islanding, defense against lightning and surges, and integration with current grid systems are among the main concerns. the effectiveness and security of PV systems may be jeopardized by the particular dangers associated with each of these issues. the review focuses on new developments that tackle these issues, such as improved inverter protection techniques and sophisticated failure detection systems. these developments in technology are essential for enhancing PV systems dependability and security and facilitating the switch to renewable energy sources. the key findings highlight how crucial it is to conduct continuous research and development in order to improve these safeguards and guarantee the long-term viability of solar energy systems in a sustainable energy future. © 2025 IEEE.

In order to make the scheduling of tasks to be executed by intelligent agents more flexible and reasonable, a method for adjusting intelligent scheduling tasks based on graph neural networks and adaptive weights is proposed. Based on the short-term memory ability of graph neural networks, search for temporary computing tasks received by intelligent agents in the database as the basic data for subsequent arrangement and adjustment. Extracting thematic content features of intelligent tasks based on recurrent neural networks;Identify priority task targets in the scheduled tasks through graph neural network models. Based on adaptive weights and combined with online learning listwise algorithm, intelligent task scheduling adjustment is achieved. the experimental results show that the conflict rate of task scheduling adjustment using this method remains stable within 5%, and the scheduling adjustment effect is more reasonable;the utilization rate of computing resources is higher after task scheduling adjustment, and task scheduling is more flexible;the longest response time for task scheduling adjustment is 29ms, which is more effective. © 2025 SPIE.

this paper proposes an intelligent Internet of things (IoT) network to optimize power consumption in large halls, amphitheater, auditoriums, theatres, dining halls, etc., by controlling the appliances based on motion detection. the proposed network deploys individual sensor nodes at different zones with a microwave radar module for human presence detection and monitoring. the RCWL radar module, utilizing the Doppler effect and operating at 3.18 GHz, is used to sense objects in confined aperture-based zones. After sensing human motion, the node utilizes the NodeMCU microcontroller board to switch the relay using an intelligent switching algorithm. Using the MQTT protocol, data is collected from each sensor node in the network and is shared and stored in a secure database. Node-RED dashboard is used to monitor and control the network remotely. An accuracy of nearly 95% is achieved after multiple iterations of prototyping and measurements using a 7.5-digit Keithley multimeter, RSA306B spectrum analyzer, and EMI and EMC probes. © 2025 IEEE.
