A novel higher order meshing around the airfoil design by using finite simple triangle elements has been presented in this paper. An automated meshing has been performed by linear to sextic order (n = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6) simple triangle elements using MATLAB code. the subparametric transformation approach has been implemented in the present accurate and efficient meshing. Linear, quadratic, cubic, quartic, quintic and sextic order triangle shaped elements are been utilized to discretize the area near the airfoil shape. An itemized extraction of the edge information, nodal coordinates, the total number of discretized elements and the triangle indices has been carried out from the present meshing. A NACA0018 airfoil design of 18% thickness of max camber is under consideration for the present work. Meshing is executed with the MATLAB code AirfoilHOmesh2d .m by implementing simple changes based on the present 4-digit NACA0018 airfoil profile. the accuracy of an eminent linear mesh generator scheme presented by Gilbert Strang and Persson has been proved and verified. Present work has extended these eminent linear meshing scheme by utilizing subparametric transformation on higher order triangular elements. the algorithm of meshing with higher order has been explained in detail and represented in flowchart form in the Appendix. the data extracted from the meshing can offer a simplified approach to optimize the airfoil shape, for the study of flow around the airfoil in fluid dynamics and the analysis of adverse effects on its external surface in aerospace applications. the advanced higher order meshing is beneficial for the optimization of any symmetric airfoil resulting a better economical fuel usage in the aircraft. Integrated Circuits (ICs) and electronic devices became the main part of human daily life (mobile, home, car, etc.). However, for the safety of the transported information to and from these devices, some specifics security measures should be taken. In general, ICs are a source of high randomness due to the manufacturing variation process which elects them to be potential physically unclonable functions (PUFs) and known as Silicon PUFs (SPUFs). Many propositions have shown that SPUFs could guarantee the three pillars of security: confidentiality, authenticity, and privacy of the user information by these devices. More importantly, extracting strong cryptographic keys from them, error correction, and hashing code techniques should be considered. Unfortunately concerning Silicon PUFs, generating many time the same response for the same input is not possible due to many factors especially environmental variables such as noise, supply voltage, temperature and aging. To overcome this issue and recover the original response from the noisy one, a secure sketch based approach is recommended. this paper proposes a framework that generates easily the cryptographic keys and efficiently recovers them for a Silicon PUF. the experiments have been validated on an Arbiter PUF under different temperatures. © 2021, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

To solve the problem of small safety factor and heavy structure of dual derrick of the 7th generation ultra-deepwater offshore platform, the optimal design of the dual derrick is studied. Using ANSYS software, the mechanical property of dual derrick under the storm self-storage condition is analyzed. Taking the mass and safety factor of the dual derrick as the target and the beam section parameters as the design variable, after the single factor optimization, the response surface method is used to establish the comprehensive optimization mathematical model of the section parameters. the optimal combination of the section parameters is obtained. the results show that the safety factor of the original design of the dual derrick in the storm self-storage condition is less than 1.67 as required by API Spec 4F, and the bottom leg of the derrick is the most dangerous. Compared with the original scheme, the final optimization scheme of dual derrick reduces the mass by 19.11% and increases the safety factor by 23.81%, which meets the requirements of operating conditions. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Energy storage can smooth the fluctuation of renewable energy sources and has the characteristic of flexibility, which makes it an important dispatching resource in distribution network. In order to promote the consumption of renewable energy sources and the reasonable configuration of energy storage resources, this paper expands the basic concept of cloud energy storage and puts forward an operation mechanism involving customers, distributed generation operators and the cloud energy storage operator. According to the commercial mode described, we analyze the benefits of the three parties, establish the opportunity cost model on the consumer side and the benefit models of the three parties. then we propose the energy storage scheduling strategies, use an optimal scheduling model to solve the pricing and clearing problems of cloud energy storage and solve it with the multi-object searching algorithm based on particle swarm optimization algorithm. At last, the case study shows that the method proposed can effectively improve the overall benefits of cloud energy storage participants on the basis of satisfying the load demand of the customers and ensuring the profitability of distributed generation operators. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

DG as an alternative clean energy has a rapid development with the advantages of economy, environment protection and so on. But the randomness of power output has an influence on the security and stability of power system. At the same time, the trade-off among multiple optimization goals is often involved in the actual planning process. therefore, using multi-objective optimization method to plan DG has wider application prospects. In this paper, a multi-objective optimization model of DG planning is established from three aspects of economy, safety and environmental protection. the flexible parameters of power system are introduced to represent the multi-objective optimization sub-functions and constraint conditions. Considering the influence of the stochastic feature of DG output, the multi-objective programming model is transformed into a flexible integrated optimization problem. One of the goals is lower cost, the others are safety and environmental protection. At the same time the objectives of economy, security and environmental protection are optimized comprehensively after DG integration, which are greatly adapted to the actual needs of the power grid planning department. In addition, the introduction of the static voltage stability margin optimization sub objective is of great significance for solving the problems caused by the uncertainty of load forecasting during the planning process. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

this paper proposes a generic mobility optimization framework for 4th generation (4G) networks. It is based on two types of Drive Test (DT) data: dedicated and scanner modes. It proposes an algorithm that jointly analyses both data sources, whereas the dedicated data is used as a network performance reference, the scanner data evaluates the radio resources for a possible optimization. thus, under-performance regions representing areas of low coverage are firstly identified, and optimized either through logical parameters or physical ones. the proposed algorithm focus on logical parameters optimization, more specifically handover parameters. It introduces a novel cost function to evaluate the performance of new configurations, based on three fundamental pillars;signal strength level maximization, ping-pong handover effect reduction and parameter stability assurance. the results are promising as they were developed and validated using real Mobile Network Operator (MNO) data and in certain scenarios a signal strength level improvement of more than 30% has been attained while minimizing the number of handovers and ping-pong effects.

Mathematics is the cradle of all creations, without which the world cannot move an inch. Mathematical functions are 'extensively' used in physics, 'structurally' used in graphics, 'practically' used in civil engineering, 'potentially' used in mechanical engineering and in many other fields as well. One fairly common difficulty faced by the engineers and scientists is to find the right function that solves their problem. this involves a lot of time consuming tasks. the idea proposed here is an android application that captures the mathematical expression using a built-in camera which produces a java code that can be utilized for solving the inputs of their needs. Along with the code, it also displays a basic plot of the function, which will be more helpful for selecting the apt solution for any problem. there are many applications in the market which can compute the result of a mathematical equation. But, this application will give an executable java code which can be used for further problem solving. So, the application is unique in its way and this is a new dimension of using image processing for code generation. this application supports polynomial, logarithmic, trigonometric and exponential functions up to four variables.
