the article presents a power efficient algorithm for backbone based routing in wireless networks. In most of the backbone formation algorithms, the members of the backbone always remain active. Consequently, their power dissipates faster due to additional routing related responsibilities. therefore, the members of backbone are prone to failure and the life of backbone is reduced. However, in our algorithm the members of backbone do not remain continuously on and due to reduced power consumption the life of backbone is longer. the working of the protocol is illustrated through a suitable example. We also present the correctness proof of the algorithm. the simulation analysis is postponed for full journal paper.

Researchers suggested number of protocol but they are complaining about poor performance, lack of sensing and the abysmal physical deployment of sensors in mountain areas. the presence of particular problem has solved by the LEACH protocol. Before deploying these sensor devices on the large area;but due to bad environment conditions fail to communication with sensing devices. Sensing devices had communicated in two ways: Active mode and sleep mode. In Active mode not maintaining the routing table - they provide facility to communicate the nodes on large distances. While in sleep mode, the nodes shutdown the radio to spare the vitality. In early stage, sensor nodes elected as Cluster Head and it absorb more energy;the high level of noise on the path made communication worse for the sensor devices;sensing devices get hot and has affected their overall performance at the sensor network. the Maximum Residual energy named MDC (Mobile Data Collector) with LEACH protocol has introduced by the earlier work and improves the residual energy but still the data has overlapped with each other and our aim to route the data efficiently and reduces the overhead. this problem will be reduced by selecting appropriate cluster heads so that when transmitting the data then there is possibility to select higher energy saver cluster and every data routes through that cluster head. this problem is focusing by this proposed work.

the present protocols for BANs do not give complete justification for different medical data types like emergency data, critical data and normal data. the enhanced protocol named as BAN E-CHATSEP ( Body Area Network Enhanced Critical Heterogeneous Adaptive threshold Sensitive Stable Election Protocol) is a hybrid protocol designed for BANs, which inherits the transmission features of CHATSEP protocol designed only for WSNs and SIMPLE protocol designed only for BANs. It modifies the transmission criteria and calculates the current sensing values for different biomedical sensors on the basis of their respective real world medical data. the improvement in performance of BAN E-CHATSEP enhancement over existing SIMPLE protocol is measured in terms of dead nodes, stability period, network lifetime, packets sent to BS, residual energy.

the number of high performance embedded systems that are used for multimedia applications, like video encoding or decoding, has erupted. A key component in video encoding is the motion estimation, which exhibits high computational complexity and hard to meet deadlines. the most popular technique for motion estimation is block matching. the hierarchical search (HS) is a popular and a very fast block matching algorithm that achieves the best image quality, with a very high computational complexity. this complexity is usually handled using parallelization. Our work differentiates from other authors, because it targets parallelization on embedded systems using the Python framework and specifically the Multiprocessing module. the experimental results on parallelization of the HS algorithm on a high performance multi core embedded systems, illustrate the usefulness of our methodology, with speedup up to 1.4.

Today's world is changing rapidly due to advancements in information technology, computation and communication. Actuation, communication, sensing, and control are becoming ubiquitous. these technological advancements have led to the widespread availability of information and the possibility to connect systems in unforeseen manner. there is a strong desire for smart(er) cities, buildings, devices, factories, health monitoring a smarter world. However, designing such a smarter world requires addressing also many challenges resulting from the emerging complex interactions and interoperation of systems. How is it possible to handle the increasing complexity during design and maintenance of such systems? How can one guarantee safety and performance of systems operating over networks which are subject to erroneous communication, delays, and failures of sensors and actuators? Is it possible to design control systems which allow for easy reconfiguration or even self-organization, for example by letting subsystems join and leave larger systems via plug and play strategies? Can one guarantee privacy of the controlled subsystems while exchanging information, which is necessary for maintaining overall system performance? We believe that predictive control is a well suited control approach to tackle some of these challenges due to its flexibility with respect to the formulation of the problem and the possibility to directly take constraints, preview information, as well as models of different complexity of the physical world into account. In this perspective we limit our attention to three areas we believe predictive control methods can provide a basis to tackle the appearing challenges: the efficient and easy implementation of predictive control on omnipresent embedded computation hardware, the question of resource and network aware control, as well as control on the network level of systems of systems. this paper introduces an embedded system placed inside o teddy bear, aiming to implement an intelligent toy. Both parents and children will be benefited from its operations, as it provides emotional observation and paternal monitoring of the child. It is consisted of the Beagleboard-xM single board computer, having a webcam and a speaker connected on it. the webcam is responsible for live streaming video, which is analyzed by a personal computer, trying to detect the child's facial expressions and finally put a song on playback to keep the child happy and mentally awaken and the parent not worrying. the beagleboard can be replaced by any other ARM based single board computer executing Linux and this whole autonomous, embedded system can, from now on, be the pole star to all toys.

the work here examines the stability problem of a linear system and controller design of the networked control system with transmission delays. An innovative model is constructed based on the discrete event-trigger communication mechanism and multiple communication channels between sensor and controller. Lyapunov stability theory and liberty matrix method are applied to derive sufficient conditions for the exponential stability and the design controller. Two simulation examples are given to show that the proposed theorems are superior to other event-trigger methods in some published literature.

Healthcare is one of the most rapidly expanding application areas of the Internet of things (IoT) technology. IoT devices can be used to enable remote health monitoring of patients with chronic diseases such as cardiovascular diseases (CVD). In this paper we develop an algorithm for ECG analysis and classification for heartbeat diagnosis, and implement it on an IoT-based embedded platform. this algorithm is our proposal for a wearable ECG diagnosis device, suitable for 24-hour continuous monitoring of the patient. We use Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) for the ECG analysis, and a Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier. the best classification accuracy achieved is 98.9%, for a feature vector of size 18, and 2493 support vectors. Different implementations of the algorithm on the Galileo board, help demonstrate that the computational cost is such, that the ECG analysis and classification can be performed in real-time.

A microcontroller-based AC voltage regulator for single-phase induction motors, using asymmetrical pulse width modulation (PWM) and fuzzy logic is proposed. the optimal switching angles are computed in real-time, using a nine-rule fuzzy system, with the objective to correct the phase difference between the output voltage and current. the voltage controller achieves an almost linear response and the motor speed is smoothly regulated within the full dynamic range of the control input. the proposed fuzzy switching regulator is verified both in simulation and with a circuit prototype. the performance of the asymmetrical PWM fuzzy controller is compared against other methods.
