Semantic Net is among the problem solving systems in artificial intelligence fields. In this paper, we demonstrate how to design DNA-typed Semantic Net in order to apply DNA computing to artificial intelligence. Moreover, we propose a problem-solving method with DNA-typed Semantic Net. In this method, it is possible to reason out a reference object by using DNA computing algorithm. Proposed DNA-typed Semantic Net is used as a molecular knowledge based system. Vertexes and edges of the DNA-typed Semantic Net are encoded to four kinds of nucleotide. Single-stranded DNAs are hybridized and ligated to let them the double-stranded DNAs withthe complementary sequences of input molecules and knowledge based ones. For the molecular knowledge based system, we estimate the computational complexity by using a simulation. Proposed problem-solving method is performed by DNA-based computer for a future generation of artificial intelligence.

Deoxyribonucleic acid or DNA computing is an emerging field that bridging the gap between chemistry, molecular biology, computer science, and mathematics. In this paper, the potential of DNA computing to compete with Dijkstra's algorithm is investigated in detail that considers the computation of single source shortest path of a network or graph as a point of reference. the DNA-based computation is designed in such a way that every path is encoded by oligonucleotides and the path's length is directly proportional to the length of oligonucleotides. Using these properties, gel electrophoresis is performed in order to separate the respective DNA molecules according to their length. thus, the shortest strands representing the shortest path could be extracted. We describe in detail in this paper the overall biochemical laboratory procedures involved during the computation.

We describe a scheme for quantum error correction that employs feedback and weak measurement. this provides a method of protecting an unknown quantum state against errors that does not use the standard tools of quantum error correction - projective measurements and fast controlled unitary gates - and is practicably implementable because of the little side processing required. We evaluate the performance of our scheme by simulating a simple scenario of protection against bit-flips.

Due to the enormous processing gains that are theoretically achievable by using quantum algorithms instead of classical algorithms to solve rather generic classes of numerical problems, it makes sense that one should evaluate their potential applicability, appropriateness, and efficiency for solving virtually any computationally intensive task. Since many types of control and optimization problems may be couched in terms of partially observable Markov decision processes (POMDPs), and since solutions to these types of problems are invariably extremely difficult to obtain, the use of quantum algorithms to help solve POMDP problems is investigated here. Quantum algorithms are indeed found likely to provide significant efficiency improvements in several computationally intensive tasks associated with solving POMDPs, particularly in the areas of searching, optimization, and parameter optimization and estimation.

the chattering behaviour that is inherent in standard sliding mode control is often an obstacle for practical application if neglected. In this paper, special attention is given to a particular chattering-free control method: 2-sliding "super twisting" control algorithm. Several control algorithms, including the standard and chattering free control algorithms, are assessed via position and speed control of a vector-controlled induction machine. Attention has also been paid to the friction dynamics in the induction machine system. Linear and non-linear friction dynamics in the induction machine model are considered. Simulation results using an induction machine model are first reported, followed by implementation results. A pre-defined reference signal is employed for tracking capability assessment as well as robustness against a high inertia load (about double the machine inertia) and DC motor load.
