Few shot time series forecasting is a significant challenge in fields such as healthcare, IoT, and finance, where data scarcity limits the effectiveness of traditional predictive models. Conventional methods often struggle to capture complex temporal patterns and generalize effectively with limited training data. To address this issue, this paper presents a novel meta-learning-based framework designed to enhance forecasting accuracy and adaptability in data-constrained scenarios. the framework leverages knowledge from related tasks through meta-training, enabling rapid adaptation to new tasks with minimal data. this work integrates attention mechanisms to identify salient temporal dependencies and task-specific adaptation layers to improve flexibility and handle task heterogeneity. By extracting and transferring shared patterns across tasks, the framework achieves robust generalization and efficient learning. Comprehensive experiments conducted on diverse real-world datasets demonstrate significant improvements in prediction accuracy and adaptability compared to traditional approaches and meta-learning baselines. the results highlight the proposed method's ability to generalize across domains, offering a practical solution for scenarios characterized by dynamic environments and limited data availability. this work underscores the potential of meta-learning to advance time series forecasting, supporting its broader application in resource-constrained and high-impact fields such as personalized healthcare, predictive maintenance, and financial analysis. © 2025 ieee.

Electric vehicles (EVs) are surging in popularity globally, offering a greener and more energy-efficient alternative to traditional cars. Our research aims to develop an RFID based system designed to automate EV charging with minimal user input. this system integrates RFID readers, tags, a microcontroller, and a relay module to manage and monitor charging sessions efficiently. An IoT platform supports real time monitoring and remote control, while a secure payment mechanism handles transactions seamlessly. RFID tags identify vehicles for automatic charging initiation, and the relay module prevents overcharging by disconnecting power after a set time. the system uses MQTT for data transmission and offers real-Time insights into energy use and account balances. All information is updated and displayed in real-Time on the server. MySQL ensures scalability, enabling effective handling of large volumes of data. the mobile application dashboard provides a view of the charging and discharging processes for user monitoring, and an email notification is sent after the recharge. EV battery charging status is monitored through visual graphs. Key benefits include a streamlined user experience, improved charging management, and support for EV adoption. this innovation advances sustainable mobility with a user friendly, efficient charging solution. © 2025 ieee.

Due to its core characteristics, blockchain research has gained attention (Alrubei et al, in Ethereum blockchain for securing the Internet of things: practical implementation and performance evaluation. ieee, 2019 [1]). this is because it provides anonymity, security and integrity and is independent from the reliable 3rd party organizations. Blockchain technology could initially only be employed with currency. However, applications outside of crypto currencies are already being created and investigated thanks to the emergence of Ethereum, which enables the development and how smart contracts are executed (miniature computer programmes that operate on blockchain technology). the fact is that an enormous progress has been made for the improvement of the technology of blockchain and stress is given on smart contracts (Zhaofeng et al, in ieee Trans Ind Inform 16(3):2013–2021, 2019 [2]). the ieee 802.11 ah standard is the prominent protocol for medium range communication in the domain of Internet of things (IoT), facilitating interaction between wireless sensor nodes and access points. Supporting up to approximately 8192 nodes connected to a single access point through single hop strategies, ieee 802.11 ah employs CSMA/CA for the authentication and association process of sensor nodes with access point. However, the standard encounters challenges such as significant collisions and prolonged network setup times when attempting to associate an excessive number of wireless sensor nodes with a single access point, primarily due to authentication thresholds set at intervals. In this research, we propose a dynamic adjustment of the authentication threshold based on network congestion status. Learning parameters including the number of requests served successfully by the access point in the past, present and a congestion threshold are leveraged to adapt to current network congestion levels. through evaluation using the LILD method in the ns-3 simulator, our approach demonstrates considerable enhancements in terms of collision reduction and network setup efficiency. this research endeavours to promote responsible network management practices for improving the performance and reliability of ieee 802.11 ah based IoT deployments. © ICST Institute for computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications engineering 2025.

To improve the efficacy of semiconductor device characteristics prediction, this work proposes a machine learning (ML) model that can predict drain current, gate-source capacitance, and drain-gate capacitance. the model displays outstanding accuracy, thus, allowing for the prognosis of device characteristics with reliability. Compared to the simulations in technology computer-Aided Design (TCAD), this ML approach can be considered a speedy alternative. To the best of the authors' knowledge, this manuscript specifically proposes a novel approach to utilize the MLP-RF (ensemble of multilayer perceptron (MLP) regressor and random forest (RF) regressor) model for Double-Gate MOSFET. the accuracy of the ensemble model is verified by calculating the mean squared error, root mean squared error, and mean coefficients of determination values. In addition, an MLP-RF classification model was implemented that would take, as input, characteristics of devices whose channel lengths are unknown and classify them into the most probable devices from a set of devices whose channel lengths are known thereby modeling the process variations during the fabrication process. the results thus encourage further interdisciplinary endeavors to benefit the semiconductor industry. © 2025 ieee.

Aiming at the severe challenges of the visual impairment in traveling, an intelligent cane integrating the optimized YOLOv5s image processing algorithm, wireless communication technology and multi-sensor detection technology is designed and implemented. the cane integrates the optimized YOLOv5 image processing algorithm and multiple sensor detection technologies, realizes the obstacle recognition of the cane, and has the functions of GPS positioning, voice prompts of road conditions and feedback. After actual scene testing, the cane performed well, fully met the design requirements, and significantly improved the mobility independence and social participation of the blind. It is of great significance to improve vision and quality of life.

With the rapid development of the Internet of things (IoT) technology, there is an increasing demand for communication. Long Range (LoRa) communication, as an emerging wide-area network communication technology, has been widely used in many fields by virtue of its unique advantages of low power consumption and long distance. this paper describes the design and realization of LoRa -based data transmission system, which adopts microcontroller as the control core, LoRa module as the transmission core, and adopts a variety of data interfaces to collect sensor data and realize low power consumption through power control circuit. Perform overall testing of the completed design system. the results show that the system successfully realizes the data transmission between multiple terminal nodes and gateways while also providing the system with low-power sleep function.

Currently, the automatic fire alarm systems installed and used in the petrochemical industry adopt the same bus communication technology as those in civil buildings. However, due to the higher requirements for communication reliability and more severe electromagnetic interference in petrochemical sites, problems such as data transmission errors, communication interruptions, false alarms, and system crashes frequently occur during bus communication. this paper analyzes the communication problems existing in the automatic fire alarm systems applied in the petrochemical industry and proposes solutions from a standardization perspective.

In the context of modern education, the pursuit of effective teaching and learning has been constantly evolving. With the increasing emphasis on personalized education and the need to understand students' cognitive processes in real-time, the limitations of traditional teaching assessment methods have become more prominent. this paper presents a monitoring method for real-time assessment of students' classroom understanding based on EEG data and deep learning. By addressing the limitations of traditional teaching assessment methods, this approach aims to provide educators with more accurate and timely feedback. the proposed method utilizes specific EEG data, advanced data processing techniques, and deep learning algorithms to achieve high-accuracy monitoring.

With 5G and 6G's rise, millimeter wave and fiber hybrid networks are gaining popularity for their high data rates and low latency. Yet, they confront significant security issues during transmission. this paper presents a machine learning-based communication security optimization method for these networks. It involves creating a channel model and applying ML algorithms to enhance channel prediction and optimization, thereby boosting transmission security and efficiency. Experiments demonstrate the method's effectiveness in lowering bit error rates, increasing signal-to-noise ratios, and bolstering the system's anti-interference capabilities.
