With the increase in the need to maintain uninterrupted power supply, due to sensitive devices in modern industry, more and more attention is paid to the protection of distribution lines in atypical construction conditions. Taking into account that lightning strikes are a frequent and main cause of power interruptions, it is necessary to take into account all the factors that can affect the improvement of the performance of distribution lines. this paper introduces a novel approach by incorporating tower grounding resistance, height, type, surge arrester, and flashover models in conditions of high soil resistance without physical protection. the proposed modelling procedure is validated through simulations on the 35 kV line "Kotor - Lovćen"in Montenegro, characterized by inadequate protection and high soil resistance, using the EMTP software and adhering to ieee 1410 - 2004 standards. © 2024 ieee.

the article discusses fault-tolerant neural network moisture sensors development methodology for pasty and bulk materials. the input of the neural network humidity sensor receives information from primary measuring transducers that control materials' drying process in real time inside various drying installations. the relative moisture value obtained from the sensor output. Proposed methodology is based on primary measuring transducers failure situations classification. the following failure classes are introduced: failure-free operation of all primary measuring transducers, soft failure, medium failure, hard failure. Depending on the class, models are created to estimate materials relative moisture by training neural networks with failures. Neural-based moisture sensors for bulk and pasty materials development examples are given. Proposed fault-tolerant neural network humidity sensors are already used in information and control systems for pasty materials control. Based on the information received, a decision is made to control the drying installation to minimize losses in drying process quality and productivity. Industrial complexes modernization through intelligent information and control systems introduction offers a significant products competitiveness increase manufactured by domestic enterprises. © 2024 ieee.

Wireless sensor Network (WSN) is expansively employed in the Network Control System (NCS). Wormhole (WH) attack detection is a burdensome process, specifically over WSN. A distributed passive state of WH attack makes the network extremely challenging to identify. Here, the CAVIaR crayfish algorithm enabled Deep Kronecker Network (CCA-DKN) is introduced for mitigation of WH attack on NCS. Firstly, the WSN model is simulated and routing is executed by Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy (LEACH) protocol. then, three stages namely in-band (IB)-WH detection, out-of-band (OB)-WH detection, and Neighbour Ratio threshold (NRT) are accomplished for WH detection. After the accomplishment of the NRT stage, the transmission range stage is performed in OB-WH detection. thereafter, the Packet Delivery Ratio (PDR) and Round Trip Time (RTT) are done on IB-WH detection. Next, the detection of WH attack is performed by ResNeXt-DSAE. Furthermore, ResNeXt-DSAE is designed by combining ResNeXt and Deep Stacked Autoencoder (DSAE). Lastly, attack mitigation is executed, whereupon a percentage of data reduction is carried out by exploiting the Deep Kronecker Network (DKN) and it is trained by the CAVIaR crayfish algorithm (CCA). Furthermore, CCA is an assimilation of Conditional Autoregressive Value at Risk (CAViaR) and Crayfish Optimization Algorithm (COA). Additionally, CCA-DKN achieved high PDR and throughput of 0.769 and 0.533Mbps as well as low delay of 0.712sec. © 2024 ieee.

the exploration of Mars is a key endeavor in understanding the mysteries of our universe and the origins of life. Traditional probes have faced limitations in terms of endurance, coverage, and cost-effectiveness. In response, balloon-based exploration has emerged as a promising solution, offering extended flight durations and extensive detection ranges. this study presents a comprehensive study of the design, technology development, and simulation verification of a Mars sensor exploration balloon. Based on atmospheric data sources and gravity field models, the design process prioritizes factors such as observation range, stability, and payload capacity. Material selection, buoyant gas selection, and ventilation system design are carefully considered to ensure optimal performance in the harsh Martian environment. Simulation procedures cover various deployment scenarios, including land-based and space-based missions, with emphasis on aerodynamic simulation and structural reliability verification. the proposed pumpkin-shaped pressurized balloon design with reinforced tendons is found to be the most suitable for conventional Mars exploration missions. In addition, the study addresses balloon storage, folding, and deployment methods that are critical to mission success. through rigorous testing and optimization, this research advances the development of Mars exploration balloons to improve future planetary exploration efforts. © 2024 ieee.

the ongoing digital transformation of industry is most clearly reflected in the increasing collection and analysis of data from various sources. Among these are sensor equipped machinery, telemetry in logistics or audiovisually monitored production floors. In order to utilize the data, e.g., to predict machinery malfunctions, its technically smooth consolidation is crucial. therefore, numerous data interchange formats, protocols and middleware emerged over the past years. However, until today there is no gold standard technology stack for industrial data analysis, for multiple reasons, including the applications' heterogeneity. In this work, we present a software library which aims at decoupling messaging protocols and patterns from their implementation to overcome incompatibilities and, thus, facilitate data consolidation for software engineers. Moreover, we show how to use the library for rapidly modeling distributed cyber-physical systems using an integrated schema generation mechanism. Based on one real-world and one synthetic use case, we evaluate the library's applicability, discuss open issues and outline planned features. (C) 2024 the Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) can be utilized in several industries, including agriculture and the military, as part of the Internet of things (IoT). Nevertheless, developing a robust and dependable authentication system for WSNs that can be implemented in the IoT. Because routing is done wirelessly, it is necessary to do it safely to keep a strategic distance from data loss and other attacks. When it comes to safe routing and trust in node-recognized proof, the existing frameworks present themselves as accessible options. this Proposed model called IBE-ECC, after the merge of best parameters, which is responsible for monitoring the authentication strategy that is both energy-conscious and effective. It is necessary to implement a verification methodology to provide authentication that is both efficient and safe. the approaches that are based on public keys, on the other hand, eliminate the security procedure;nevertheless, the verification process takes more resources and time. As a consequence of this, the need for authentication power consumption is regarded as the most significant limitation of this study. the purpose of this innovative technique is to provide high levels of security while simultaneously achieving energy economy and rapid authentication. Furthermore, to secure the authentication process, it decreases the size of the signature, which implies that it would speed up the verification of signatures quickly and efficiently. © 2024 ieee.

the Long Range (LoRa) network has been widely acknowledged for its efficiency and reliability in terrestrial sensing applications. However, building a robust LoRa network in the subsoil environment, which presents challenges for radio communication, remains challenging. this study evaluates the impact of antenna polarization and LoRa modulation parameters, such as bandwidth and spreading factor, on subsoil communication ranges. Based on the results of our experiments, we propose practical LoRa network configurations for the seamless transmission of subsoil sensory data to the surface. © 2023 ieee.

Large-scale classification is an important task of machine learning, especially in the smart city field, which is a big data environment. In recent years, single-threaded optimization algorithms can no longer meet the needs of big data applications. When a single machine is trained, it will face the problem of insufficient memory and limited computing capacity. therefore, distributed algorithms have been proposed to solve big data classification, and have received much attention. Particularly, distributed gradient descent (GD) is a widely-used algorithm for solving big data problem. However, distributed algorithms based on GD always converge slowly and suffer from expensive time in the training process. To alleviate this problem, we propose a novel fast distributed stochastic gradient descent algorithm for big data classification in this paper. By formulating the original optimization problem as a series of subproblems for classification in each machine. In particular, we exploit a fast stochastic method combined with the Nesterov acceleration method for sub-problem optimization in parallel to improve the convergence speed, and thus reduce the training time. the experimental results on some public and benchmark data sets show that our proposed distributed algorithm can converge faster with the competitive accuracy performance compared with distributed GD-based methods, which is suitable to big data classification. © 2021 ieee.

In the traditional storage EMR storage scheme, user trustworthiness as well as data immutability cannot be effectively guaranteed, this paper proposes a solution for joint on-chain and off-chain storage of blockchain. the original data is stored in the off-chain server after encryption, and the index is stored in the blockchain. In order to ensure the efficiency as well as security of on-chain index retrieval, this paper proposes a searchable index encryption scheme combining Bloom filter and LWE. According to the experimental results, this scheme can improve the index retrieval efficiency by 27%-54% and has a faster construction and retrieval speed compared with similar methods. © 2023 ieee.

the SARS-CoV-2 virus causes coronary artery disease (COVID-19). the majority of persons who are infected with the virus will have mild to severe respiratory illness and recover without the need for therapy. Some, on the other hand, will become critically unwell and require medical assistance. People over the age of 65, as well as those with underlying medical diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, or cancer, are at a higher risk of developing serious illness. Being thoroughly informed on the disease and how it spreads is the best strategy to avoid and slow down transmission. Stay at least 1 metre apart from other people to avoid infection. In this research work, we focus on how non-contact sensing technology and deep learning technique are being used to detect COVID-19 and assist healthcare workers in caring for COVID-19 patients. the proposed system captures images from the patient using non -contact sensing technologies and feeds the data into deep learning convolutional neural network architectures such as VGG16, VGG19, ResNet101, NASNet, DenseNet121, MobileNet, Xception, EfficientNet, and InceptionV3. In comparison to other architectures, the VGG16 architecture delivers superior accuracy.
