this paper focuses on the optimization of the electrode geometric parameters for ammonia (NH3) sensor on a flexible paper substrate. Geometric designing is essential to increase the sensitivity and bandwidth of interdigitated electrode based ammonia sensors which is practical for food packaging. this design can provide an overview of the interaction of water-soluble ammonia with sensors at different frequencies. the relationship between structures and parameters is explained, and MATLAB software was employed to simulate these parameters. the enhancement of sensor bandwidth is achieved by reducing the frequency of the structure, and this improvement is utilized in impedance spectroscopy. © 2023 ieee.

this paper addresses the issue of voltage violation caused by numerous distributed PV systems connected to distribution networks. Considering that the DPC algorithm is greatly influenced by subjective definition of the cutoff distance during its application, a K-nearest neighbor optimization DPC algorithm (KNN-DPC) is proposed. By utilizing the comprehensive sensitivity matrix to characterize electrical distances as inputs and accelerating the search for density peak points, the impact of cutoff distance can be avoided, and the precision of the cluster division can be efficiently enhanced. the ieee33 node and ieee69 node distribution system with distributed PV integration is used to verify the cluster division, and the modularity function is adopted as an evaluation index for the division results. the evaluation index for different K values is calculated, and the implementation effects of different algorithms are compared correspondingly, demonstrating the efficacy and superiority of the proposed approach. © 2023 ieee.

the investigation focuses on advanced modulation strategies to optimize energy efficiency in Wireless Medical sensor Networks (WMSNs) within the Internet of Medical things (IoMT). the study addresses the balance between energy consumption and spectral efficiency, specifically targeting challenges associated with WMSN deployment in critical healthcare applications. the analysis rigorously evaluates energy consumption across various distances and modulation schemes, particularly in the presence of Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channels. Modulation techniques are categorized into linear and nonlinear types, allowing for a comprehensive examination of each class's energy efficiency. the objective is to minimize energy usage while ensuring reliable and secure communication in remote healthcare systems through the optimal selection of modulation schemes and transmission parameters. the results offer significant contributions to sustainable healthcare technology, enhancing the operational lifespan of medical sensors without compromising data transmission quality. © 2024 ieee.

this paper presents a harmonic compensation method for low-voltage small-scale islanded microgrids, which is implemented using a harmonic observer. the proposed system includes a harmonic observer which helps to decompose the load current harmonics of the non-linear loads. In addition to the load current harmonic decomposition approach, a feed-forward control method is also proposed to reduce the voltage distortion in the islanded microgrid. the main feature of the proposed control system is the estimation of load-induced disturbances and their compensation. Analysis and simulation results are presented to verify the performance of the proposed compensation method. © 2023 ieee.

Blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) are two of the most disruptive modern technologies. A blockchain is a distributed ledger capable of storing data in blocks. the data stored on a blockchain is immutable and secured with cryptography. the blockchain can guarantee data security without the involvement of a third party. the integration of it with AI to create distributed artificial intelligence (DAI) is increasingly being used in various areas of human activity. AI can increase the efficiency of blockchains by streamlining computations and processes, reducing the burden on miners and decreasing latency. the latter results in faster transactions and reduced carbon footprint of the blockchain technology. Blockchain can help develop explainable AI by means of accessing an immutable record of unstructured medical data and processes used by the system in its decision-making process. the purpose of this narrative review is to analyze the possibilities of using a decentralized AI in medicine. © 2023 ieee.

Because of their development and success, MANETs are now preferred alternatives in many fields of study and application. the ieee 802.11 standard is the basis of most wireless technologies. To treat collisions in wireless networks, ieee 802.11 distributed Coordination Function (DCF) MAC layer employs Binary Exponential Backoff (BEB) algorithm, that is helpful in decreasing the potential of collision, but comes at the expense of several network performance metrics, such as medium access delay, bandwidth management, power use, and fairness. A Deep Learning technique called Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) allows an agent to communicate with the environment in order to accomplish a goal. In the present paper, we suggest Q-learning (QL), one of the DRL approaches to improve the Binary Exponential Backoff (BEB) in MANETs. the intelligently designed Int-BEB aims for better CW selection;this selection strikes to reduce collisions as much as possible and to give more chances to nodes that make collisions to access the channel by taking into consideration their residual energy. In-depth simulations are performed to evaluate the performance of the proposed mechanism. the performance of Int-BEB is evaluated in diverse networks with several criteria such as packet successful transmission, packet loss and energy. © 2023 ieee.

Purpose of the research: development of an energy-saving algorithm for selecting a data packet transmission route for high-density ubiquitous systems. Tasks: analysis of modern ubiquitous communication technologies, development of a sequential algorithm for transmitting a data packet in ubiquitous sensor systems, development of a mathematical model that allows one to calculate network energy consumption taking into account the proposed algorithm, obtaining numerical values for various system parameters. Results: an energy-saving algorithm for choosing a route for transmitting a data packet to a base station is proposed, based on the provisions of the corollary of the cosine theorem. A spatial-energy model has been compiled that allows one to calculate the total energy consumption of the proposed algorithm. An analysis of the indicators obtained in the calculations of the spatial-energy model was carried out. © 2023 ieee.

Modern distribution grids require the development of advanced control solutions to solve voltage issues by coordinating distributed generators and storage systems. In particular, distributed control solutions represent innovative and flexible approaches to control the voltage by means of a communication network. this paper presents the implementation of a distributed voltage control with containers, which allow a faster and more versatile implementation of the control along with the ability to model the distributed control as if it were implemented in the field. the scalability of the distributed control implemented with the containers has been demonstrated in terms of nodes activation and data exchanged by means of numerical simulations.

Energy efficiency measurement plays an important role in the operation and design phase of a distribution control system. the main objective of any energy adequacy test is to determine the exact location of the steady state for a known load and active and reactive power flows in each branch. In this case, one of the main results of the calculation is the voltage constancy at the nodes. Iterative methods are usually used to calculate power flows in distributed networks. this leads to the fact that high computational speed and reliability of all operations are required. With this in mind, this paper presents a distributed network model based on feedforward artificial neural networks. Its use allows to increase the level of energy consumption in the distribution system. the validity of the model is determined on the example of a real scheme of a 6-10 kV distribution network with an open loop. © 2023 ieee.
