Autonomous orchestration in distributed systems is a solution that attracts attention in 5G and beyond. Indeed, proposing a distributed orchestrator system with an Edge Cloud network can ensure autonomous management and service continuity, even when remote resources are not reachable. this feature is one of the key advantages of fifth-generation (5G and beyond) cellular networks, as stated by 3GPP (release 18), particularly regarding Proximity-based Service (ProSe), service management, and so on. therefore, there is an urgent need to address the current gap in the edge cloud system to achieve greater proximity and distributed self-management, thereby providing services closer to the users. this is crucial for meeting the requirements of real-time applications such as gaming, Virtual Reality, augmented reality, vehicle-based services, etc. this paper proposes a self-orchestrator system within the concept of Home 5G architecture, based on 3-tier edge cloud networks, known as Home Edge computing (HEC). We validate our proposal using a Vehicle-to-vehicle-to-Home Server (V2V2H) use case to evaluate the latency of content sharing between end-devices and the HEC server.

Foot ulcers, particularly in diabetic patients, are a significant health concern that can lead to severe complications if left untreated. Early detection of foot ulcers is critical for preventing infections, reducing hospitalizations, and improving the quality of life for at-risk individuals. this project aims to develop an automatic detection system for foot ulcers using an integrated approach that combines hardware sensors and predictive analytics software. the hardware consists of a foot temperature sensor and a pressure sensor to monitor the conditions that contribute to ulcer formation. the software, powered by machine learning algorithms, collects, preprocesses, and analyzes the data from these sensors to build a predictive model capable of detecting early signs of foot ulcers. By leveraging this integrated system, the solution provides a non-invasive, real-time detection method that can be deployed in clinical settings or as part of home monitoring systems for high-risk patients. this technology has the potential to enhance early diagnosis, reduce complications, and lower healthcare costs by enabling timely interventions. In this various predictive model like support vector machine, naive bayes, decision tree, and random forest has been implemented successfully and the results are compared. this technology has the potential to enhance early diagnosis, reduce complications, and lower healthcare costs by enabling timely interventions. © 2024 ieee.

this research study introduces a novel Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) design for autonomous robotics that integrates data from multiple sensors to improve their operational efficiency and decision-making. the proposed technique accomplishes real-time performance by integrating information from multiple sensors, such as LiDAR, cameras, and inertial measurement units (IMUs), using the parallel processing capabilities of FPGAs. sensor interfaces, control logic, and complex data integration algorithms are integrated into the design. Additionally, the design is adaptable and can be implemented with FPGAs. By employing Kalman filters for state prediction and decision trees for contextual classification, the design enhances accuracy and significantly reduces latency. According to the testing results, the FPGA-based system outperforms earlier existing systems in terms of processing speed and accuracy, capable of processing up to 2000 data points per second with a latency of 10ms. this research enhances autonomous robotics by delineating a comprehensive approach to the efficient integration of sensors and the processing of data in dynamic environments. © 2024 ieee.

this paper gives a distributed deep getting-to-know (DDL) architecture for 5G community cutting. DDL is an allotted method which has been a success in schooling massive-scale deep mastering fashions. It applies the ideas of disbursed computing to reduce the dimensions of the statistics being trained at the same time as education samples in parallel on different computing assets. the proposed solution in this paper exploits the improvements in 5G networks' virtualization skills, which include community cutting, to provide a green architecture which allows DDL fashions to be taught with dispensed resources to limit the training time. the proposed structure consists of three predominant modules: a useful resource-cutting manager, a dispensed training cluster, and a dispensed inference cluster. the resource-reducing manager allows dynamic aid cutting throughout numerous assets (e.g. GPU, CPU). the distributed schooling cluster includes workers distributing the training duties across the sources. the allotted inference cluster is used to perform inference on the trained fashions throughout more than one allotted computing source. the advantages of the proposed structure are that it allows green disbursed schooling, green disbursed inference, and value-green education of complex deep gaining knowledge of models. As such, it may be used to educate huge and complex models with decreased prices and also boost the schooling throughput. Additionally, 5G community cutting presents flexibility in useful resource provision. ©2024 ieee.

High-proportion integration of distributed photovoltaics presents new challenges to the safe and stable operation of distribution networks., among which the voltage violation and distribution substation overload problems are especially prominent. therefore, it is critical to examine control methods for distribution networks with high levels of distributed photovoltaics. this paper proposes a distributed control approach for photovoltaic-energy storage (PV-ES) systems in low-voltage distribution networks that accounts for power and SOC consistency. the suggested approach leverages cooperative control among multiple PV-ES systems to mitigate voltage violations and transformer overloads while also taking into account the capacity differences among these systems. First, we propose a power management strategy that distributes power regulation commands to reduce transformer overloads in low-voltage distribution networks. Second, we construct a comprehensive consistency variable that considers both power and SOC of PV-ES systems and propose a distributed control approach for PV-ES systems based on this variable. Lastly, simulation calculations verify the effectiveness of our proposed method. © 2023 ieee.

Polymer-based piezoresistive pressure sensors that possess flexibility and stretchability have received increased recognition in wearable sensing systems. In this paper, we present a flexible pressure sensor designed using polypyrrole-coated cotton (PCC) that was synthesized using in-situ chemical oxidative liquid polymerization. the sensor shows high sensitivity at low-pressure ranges and can measure pressures in the range 160 Pa to 16 kPa. the response time of the sensor was found to be 463 ms. It also exhibits excellent repeatability during continuous loading-unloading for over 1000 cycles. the performance of the sensor was evaluated in terms of resistance change as a function of tensile strain, by applying repeated compression and expansion strains. We report the gauge factor of the resistive sensor to be 0.32 for applied compressive strains from 0% to 99.6%. Such a large compressive strain range can be achieved with cotton because of its fibrous nature. It was observed that there is no change in conductivity, at a given strain, on repeated expansion and compression of the polymer for 20 cycles. © 2023 ieee.

Many small and medium enterprises in the embedded systems' field cannot afford to carry out their production testing efforts, which is known to be costly and time-consuming. Hence, their tendency to commission third party service providers to perform these tasks. therefore, testing can be distributed among many testing locations, where isolated and locally operated test benches perform the tests on the Devices under Test (DUTs). the first goal of this work is to connect the system on the cloud level for better collaboration and online management of functional tests on software-intensive embedded systems. the second goal is to enhance the testing process by closing the open gap between testing and feedback on two levels of operation: the local level between the test benches and the DUTs, and on a wider level with the cloud. this is achieved by connecting the system online via the cloud, and by adopting the DevOps approach, which aims at automating the different processes to achieve an automated workflow that can automatically adapt itself to change. In this paper, the system architecture and prototype are presented, based on which, an automated and continuous feedback-based testing cycles were implemented and tested on two levels of operation.

this paper presents a super-resolution near-field sensing probe designed by micro-coaxial. Utilizing waveguide micro-coaxial to confine terahertz (thz) waves within transmission lines and guide them to the tip of a probe, which can effectively enhance the dynamic range and reduce transmission losses in free space. It is designed for easy integration, with probe dimensions of 0.9 mm× 0.9 mm× 5.4 mm. the sensor designed operates at 90 GHz realizing spatial resolution of 20 μ m, about 1/165 of a wavelength. this sensor can achieve 100 μ m response distance and 16 dB dynamic range, respectively. Micro-coaxial probes utilize copper as the metal conductor and air as the dielectric materials of transmission. © 2023 ieee.

To investigate the viability of implementing a communication-based protection system for fishermen. this system was designed with the welfare of fishermen in mind. Overall, it's an effort to create a practical, low-cost, and straightforward tool for fishermen. In some media, additionally the infrared and sound waves can be comparable. the system is built so that the information collected by sensors both on the ground and in the air can be shared seamlessly. Small sound waves present on the top of the sea are proportional to the 1s and 0s being communicated, which are produced by an underwater transmitter to the surface. © 2023 ieee.

With the development of 5G technology, mobile edge computing (MEC) is becoming a useful architecture, which is envisioned as a cloud extension version. Users within MEC system could save plenty of time on data transmission. Algorithms within Multi-armed bandits (MAB) framework are powerful tools helping users offloading tasks to their best servers. However, as the system scale growing, servers will face higher pressure and users will waste more time on offloading tasks. the situation by applying traditional MAB algorithms is more serious. therefore, in this paper, we propose a Batch-based Multi-user Server Elimination (BMSE) to solve such problem. BMSE contains two sub-algorithms, BMSE in User Level (BMSE-UL) and BMSE in System Level (BMSE-SL). BMSE- UL is applied by users for initial purpose which will help themselves discard servers with obvious bad performance. BMSE-SL is applied in the MEC system which could offload tasks from different users collectively. Furthermore, we establish the optimality of the proposed algorithms by proving the sub-linearity convergence of their regrets and demonstrate the effectiveness by extensive experiments. © 2023 ieee.
