distributed systems use consistent hashing algorithms to solve load balancing problems because of their good balance, minimal interruptions, and high query rates. However, existing algorithms fail to maintain consistency under changes, require high memory for high query rates, or have poor scaling. therefore, we propose consistent AreaHash, which virtualizes the hash space into a ring. the logically ordered ring nodes occupy the same area, allowing the AreaHash to expand the nodes without any change. the key calculated using the hashing algorithm can be mapped to a node by a simple shift calculation, reducing memory requirements. We make a reasonable theoretical analysis and perform high-level algorithm implementation with a memory footprint of only a few bytes per node. Experimental results indicate that AreaHash achieves a lookup rate of more than 40 million keys per second, even when the number of nodes on a single CPU exceeds one million. In addition, a lookup rate of more than 20 million keys per second is achieved when more than half of the nodes in the cluster are down. © 2022 ieee.

the constructive method is proposed for solving a wide range of optimal control problems for technical systems with distributed parameters described by partial differential equations of parabolic type, under the condition of achieving a specified accuracy of the uniform approximation of the final system's state to the desired spatial distribution of the controlled variable. the developed approach consists of a set of procedures: sequential parameterization of control actions determined by analytical optimality conditions, reduction to a semi-infinite optimization problem concerning the sought-after parameter vector, and solution using the alternance method to construct parameterized control algorithms. this approach extends the results of the theory of nonlinear Chebyshev approximations to the considered problems and makes substantial use of the fundamental regularities of the subject area. the obtained results are generalized to problems with vector-valued performance criteria, constraints on the final state of the system, and control actions. An analytical method is proposed for constructing optimal controllers in situations where the classical transversality conditions are not applicable due to the non-smooth boundaries of the target set. Instead, finite values of the conjugate variables and modal components of the controlled variable in the optimal process are used, which are determined through the solution of the programming problem. © 2023 ieee.

In current Datacenter Networks (DCNs), Equal-Cost Multipath (ECMP) is a default load balancing scheme. However, using ECMP may result in rapid growth of Flow Completion Time (FCT) due to its well-known drawbacks. In order to solve the problem of ECMP, load balancing schemes with per-packet granularity (such as RPS) and per-flowlet granularity (such as LetFlow) are proposed. these two different granularities have their own features, but there's no existing load balancing considering both their advantages. In this paper, we mix per-flowlet and per-packet in scheduling decisions and introduce the potential performance bottleneck in mixed granularities load balancing. Based on this idea, we propose a hybrid scheme for load balancing, referred to as BOBBLE. the key idea of BOBBLE is to distinguish elephant and mouse flows and schedule them with different granularity. We evaluate BOBBLE in simulations with NS-3. Experiment shows that BOBBLE slightly sacrifices elephant flows FCT but it is worthy because our results demonstrate that BOBBLE is a good trade-off which outperforms RPS and LetFlow in mouse flows FCT in both symmetric and asymmetric topology. © 2021 ieee.

With the power supply reliability demand as the core, it plans and builds a target network framework with high voltage quality, reasonable structure, flexible operation, and unified grid division standards, effectively giving play to the key role of planning in the construction and operation of distribution networks. © 2023 ieee.

In recent times, there has been a growing interest in AC microgrids due to their versatility in operating as both islanded and grid-connected systems. When operating in islanded mode, the widely favored primary control mechanism for managing load distribution among distributed generators is droop control. However, in the context of meshed microgrids, certain challenges arise due to load fluctuations and varying impedances in transmission lines. these challenges manifest as significant drawbacks, such as inaccurate current sharing and rise in circulating current values among parallel distributed generators. To address these concerns, this research paper introduces a novel current sharing approach that relies on real voltage and current feedback. this method is applicable to both single-bus and multi-bus microgrids. Notably, the proposed technique shows promise in effectively mitigating circulating currents to very low values, outperforming both droop control and existing approaches found in the literature. To substantiate the efficacy and resilience of this method, the researchers conduct comprehensive simulations using MATLAB/Simulink. the simulations serve to demonstrate the superior performance of the new current sharing technique in managing microgrid operations. © 2023 ieee.

the eddy current method of control is analyzed and the possibility of its use for the identification of metals and alloys is substantiated. It is shown that this can be done by modernizing the eddy current radio engineering system with dynamic scanning of metal samples, which consists in the use of modern microcontrollers with high-precision ADC operation. the structural scheme of the modernized system is presented, some aspects of the processing of the received response signal are considered, which made it possible to highlight the information coefficients that would represent the metal or alloy as a generalized image. It is proposed to use the developed control system for the inverse problem - detection of defective zones on rolled metal sheets. the process of identifying the type of defect is carried out using the same methods as for spot samples of metals. the application of automation of the movement of the sensor during the control of rolled metal allows to identify metals and alloys in real time, to carry out express control, without human intervention in the identification process. © 2023 ieee.

this research paper presents a systematic method for mitigating power losses in distribution systems, particularly addressing the issue prevalent in India where distribution losses range from 20 to 25%. the core objective is to optimize the placement and sizing of distributed generation (DG) units, such as photovoltaic (PV) modules, to achieve this goal. To accomplish this, the study employs an optimization algorithm known as the "Imperialist Competitive Algorithm" (ICA). To validate the effectiveness of this approach, the research utilizes a standard ieee 33-bus test system, varying the penetration levels of DG units. the obtained results from applying the ICA methodology are then compared with outcomes derived from other optimization techniques utilized in prior studies. this comparative analysis is conducted to showcase the superior performance and robustness of the ICA approach. © the Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

the possibility of managing the temporary resource of a spatially distributed information monitoring system based on fuzzy sets has been investigated. When solving the problem of resource allocation with a limited total time resource, there are many compensated optimality criteria. the task of constructing a schedule is considered as the task of finding such an admissible schedule from the set of all potentially possible schedules that achieves the minimum of all partial optimality criteria. It is shown that the proposed approach to managing the temporary resource of a spatially distributed information monitoring system is effective in terms of optimizing resources and taking into account task priorities. It provides flexibility and adaptability in schedule management, allowing you to solve complex scheduling problems in the face of uncertainty and changing conditions. the main provisions of the original algorithm for managing the temporary resource of a spatially distributed information monitoring system are presented, which, in conditions of a critical shortage of temporary resources, ensures its distribution between tasks being solved at the current moment in time (while ensuring the minimization of omissions of objects during search and tracking), makes a decision on the possibility of a spatially distributed information monitoring system working on special/additional tasks (thus determining the possibility of working on additional tasks without critical damage to the regular tasks of airspace monitoring). © 2023 ieee.

Microseismic event detection is paramount for surveilling subsurface activities including hydraulic fracturing, geothermal energy extraction, and evaluating seismic hazards. distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) technology provides high-resolution spatial and temporal datasets, rendering it an indispensable instrument for identifying microseismic events. Nonetheless, the substantial volume of data and the intricate spatiotemporal interrelations inherent in DAS data present considerable obstacles to conventional signal processing techniques. this research presents a novel approach utilizing Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) for microseismic event detection in DAS data. By displaying the spatial and temporal relationships between DAS sensing points as graph structures, the GNN identifies the underlying spatiotemporal patterns linked to microseismic events. According to empirical results, the suggested approach outperforms conventional machine learning frameworks, achieving higher detection accuracy and more computational efficiency. © 2024 ieee.
