User attachment forecasting with Deep Learning (DL) is an effective tool for proactive mobility management in dense Beyond 5G (B5G)/6G deployments with reduced cell sizes. However, collecting user data in a central cloud to facilitate DL model learning causes extensive overhead and privacy concerns. distributed edge cloud-based federated learning solves these issues, but it faces challenges in handling out-of-distribution data from decentralized edges at the network periphery, and the model biases due to data heterogeneity. this paper addresses these limitations by proposing a fully distributed Collaborative User Mobility Prediction (CUMP) framework that mitigates the out-of-distribution data issue through collaboration among initial layers of DL models in edges that are selected using inter-edge mobility rates. the remaining part of each model only trains on local data, preserving biases towards their respective edges. this enhances the generalization, robustness, and predictive performance of the DL models. Results show that CUMP outperforms conventional global learning and state-of-the-art distributed personalized federated learning and cyclic incremental institutional learning by 63%, 12%, and 10% in predicting the next Point of Attachment (PoA) of a user and by 70%, 22%, and 28% in predicting user dwell time in current PoA, respectively. thus, CUMP improves prediction performance while reducing network and storage overheads while preserving privacy.

In contrast to centralized control systems, distributed control systems possess superior flexibility, reliability, scalability and maintenance convenience, when managing intricate tasks and keeping system stable. To actualize the intricate functionalities of machines and streamline the development and maintenance procedures, a methodology for constructing one kind of distributed control system based on PROFINET communication is devised here. this methodology is specifically designed for the development of field devices with Siemens SINUMERIK ONE systems, which are hardware configured and programmed via the automated programming software TIA Portal. this article focuses on the characteristics and establishment methods of the two communication modes for different real-time requirements in PROFINET IO communication, and introduces the building of device network in detail. By applying this methodology, practical verification was conducted on the bevel gear testing machine. the feasibility of the methodology was substantiated by the successful realization of the anticipated function and the system's stable operation.

this paper presents a novel approach for optimizing sensor placement within a designated area, leveraging a combination of cellular communication systems and feed-forward neural networks to streamline the selection process for operators. Initially, a modified hill-climbing algorithm, a form of local search, is implemented to generate preliminary data for sensor positioning. However, to prevent the algorithm from converging on local optima, a simulated annealing algorithm is subsequently employed to validate and refine the results. During the construction phase of the cellular communication system, flaws were detected in the evaluation metrics when using Modal Assurance Criterion (MAC) and singular value ratios, which led to the adoption of a feed-forward neural network. this neural network is utilized for both further optimization and a more accurate assessment of the sensor distribution. the study highlights the seamless integration of cellular communication systems with local search methods and underscores the significant improvements in optimization achieved through the use of neural networks. Ultimately, the research successfully develops a method for determining the optimal sensor positions, providing a robust solution for the effective deployment of cellular sensors in complex environments. © 2025 ieee.

this study investigates the quantization control problem of a class of time-delay networked control systems with quantization at the sensor controller end, and analyzes the characteristics of fault-tolerant control in networked control systems and its impact on the control system. Various fault-tolerant control methods are comprehensively analyzed and studied, and a new fault-tolerant control method, fault-tolerant game theory, is also analyzed, and its development trend is pointed out. © 2024 ieee.

Brain stroke affects a large number of the population and is one of the primary causes of death and permanent disability, therefore the identification of risk factors is paramount for timely prevention. these interactions are difficult to capture because stroke risk factors are demographics, life style and medical history all of which cannot be modeled using statistical solution. To tackle these and similar issues, the present paper employs PySpark, a distributed computing system, for the formulation of small-scale and big data with various machine learning algorithms including, Logistic Regression, Gradient Boosting, Decision Trees, Naive Bayes, and Random Forests, for predicting brain stroke. the used models were derived from a great amount of healthcare data, though the hyperparameter optimization was applied to improve the results. Among those algorithms, Gradient Boosting showed the best result with the accuracy of 92.2, Random Forest is 90.5, which indicates that these algorithms can give good results at the time of risk assessment of stroke. Measuring techniques like precision, recall and F1 score were employed to measure model accuracy and test ability to control between False Positives and False Negatives. this multiple model approach recognizes the most efficient algorithms for possible implementation in real-life, mass, clinical practice for early detection, patient control, and individual prevention. © 2025 ieee.

With the steady advancement of highway infrastructure, the highway tunnel has been extended to remote areas and mountainous areas. It is difficult to connect to the power grid, the line distance is far, and the construction investment is large. therefore, the use of distributed photovoltaic system to supply power to the power facilities in the tunnel can effectively reduce the power consumption, save natural resources and promote energy conservation and emission reduction. Based on the shortcomings of the traditional power supply mode of highway tunnel, combined with the application of distributed photovoltaic in highway tunnel in China, this paper analyzes the application advantages of distributed photovoltaic power station for power supply of tunnel lighting system. Finally, taking the actual project as an example, it shows that it has good economic and social benefits. © 2024 ieee.

In this paper, we study a connected submodular function maximization problem, which arises from many applications including deploying UAV networks to serve users and placing sensors to cover Points of Interest (PoIs). Specifically, given a budget K, the problem is to find a subset S with K nodes from a graph G so that a given submodular function f(S) on S is maximized while the induced subgraph G[S] by the nodes in S is connected, where the submodular function f can be used to model many practical application problems, such as the number of users within different service areas of the deployed UAVs in S, the sum of data rates of users served by the UAVs, the number of covered PoIs by placed sensors, etc. We then propose a novel 1-1/e/2h+2-approximation algorithm for the problem, improving the best approximation ratio 1-1/e/2h+2 for the problem so far, through estimating a novel upper bound on the problem and designing a smart graph decomposition technique, where e is the base of the natural logarithm, h is a parameter depends on the problem and its typical value is 2. In addition, when h = 2, the algorithm approximation ratio is at least 1-1/e/5 and may be as large as 1 in some special cases when K <= 21, and is no less than 1-1/e/6 when K >= 22, compared with the current best approximation ratio 1-1/e/7 (= 1-1/e/2h+3) for the problem. We finally evaluate the algorithm performance in the application of deploying a UAV network. Experimental results demonstrate the number of users within the service area of the deployed UAV network by the proposed algorithm is up to 7.5% larger than those by existing algorithms, and its empirical approximation ratio is between 0.7 and 0.99, which is close to the theoretical maximum value one.

In response to the issue of adapting to the dynamic characteristics of distributed photovoltaics and their impact on energy metering, this article first simulates and analyzes the harmonic and voltage fluctuations caused by photovoltaic grid connection based on a universal 400 kW distributed photovoltaic grid connection system model, and summarizes the characterization formula of distributed photovoltaic grid connection dynamic characteristics;then, based on the characteristics of harmonics and voltage fluctuations, the error characteristics of electricity metering were quantitatively analyzed through simulation;Finally, in view of the impact of the microgrid access of distributed generation to the power system on electric energy measurement, this paper summarizes the function problem of two-way electric energy measurement and the accuracy of electric energy measurement devices, and discusses the rationality of electric energy measurement. © 2023 ieee.

the MEMS gas flow sensor produced by the combination of the MEMS technology and the sensor technology has gradually become a research hotspot in the field of gas flow detection. the heat distribution type gas flow sensor based on the MEMS technology can be used to detect the natural gas flow by using the principle that the natural gas flow will take away part of the heat when passing through the detection area, resulting in a temperature difference between the upstream and the downstream of the heating resistor. the solid heat conduction between the resistors and the substrate absorbs some of the heat, which will affect the detection accuracy of the sensor. In this paper, the effects of the substrate heat conduction on the temperature field distribution, fluid velocity field distribution, and the temperature difference between the upstream and the downstream of the heating resistor in the detection area are discussed by simulation research. the results show that the substrate heat conduction has a great effect on the temperature field distribution, but has little effect on the velocity field distribution. At the same time, the substrate heat conduction has a great influence on the temperature difference between the upstream and the downstream of the heating resistor. Without heat insulation measures, the temperature difference between the upstream and the downstream decreased significantly, with an average decrease rate as high as 28.8%. © 2024 ieee.

Wireless sensor Networks (WSNs) are pivotal in various applications where data collection from distributed sensors is essential. However, optimizing data collection efficiency while preserving energy resources remains a challenge. A data clustering model proposed in this paper implements the concept of Water Wave Optimization (WWO) methodology. the purpose of using Water Wave Optimization in this paper is to improve the accuracy of data grouping. We have suggested a grouping model using WWO, the recommended method aims to improve the accuracy of data clustering. We have demonstrated the validity of the proposed idea through the Friedman test and statistical analysis. Experiments revealed that the suggested grouping model works, as evidenced by its higher accuracy rate. In the past decade, routing in Wireless sensor Networks has emerged as the focus of most research. Implementing a routing model that can determine the most beneficial path depending on an assortment of performance parameters is an extensive task. then it has been demonstrated that after being compared to the currently employed clustering approach, the accuracy and F-score rates of the proposed WWO techniques improved by an average of 4% and 7%, respectively. © 2024 ieee.
