Built environment system focused on creating the suitable indoor air quality, while consuming a great deal of energy. sensors played key role for monitoring the current real situation for HVAC&R equipment and system. More and more machine learning algorithms were implemented to maintain the optimal operation for the built environment systems and devices. Among them, Principe Component Analysis, as one of the most useful unsupervised machine learning algorithms, was widely employed to diagnose the abnormal sensor for chiller. However, the complete decomposition contributions could not correctly finding the faulty sensor due to its non-largest corresponding contribution. the relative contribution were employed to diagnose the abnormal one according with the rate between the contribution and its expect. Validated by the dataset of ASHRAE RP-1043, results showed that the relative contribution worked well even with the faulty server level of +/- 0.5 degrees C for the cooling water out temperature sensor.

this research investigates the vulnerability of onboard navigation sensors in autonomous vehicles to cybersecurity attacks. By exploiting the interconnectedness of these systems, adversaries can manipulate sensor data, compromise software, or physically interfere with sensors, potentially leading to serious consequences. this study describes cybersecurity experiments on a hardware-in-the-loop autonomous vehicle testbed, focusing on cyberattacks against LiDAR-based navigation, exploring various attack vectors, including jamming and various methods of spoofing. Experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of these attacks and highlight the need for robust security measures to protect autonomous vehicles from cyber threats. the findings emphasize the importance of ongoing research in developing effective countermeasures to ensure the safety and reliability of autonomous driving systems. © 2024 ieee.

With the increase of the penetration of distributed generator (DG) in microgrid (MG), traditional power flow calculation and optimization methods are no longer applicable. Based on the mathematical model of droop control, the traditional Newton Raphson method is modified. then the droop control is improved to relax the constraints of DG reactive power and voltage by virtual impedance and theimproved particle swarm optimization algorithm is applied to obtain the MG optimization power flow with the minimum network loss. Finally, the method is verified by simulation and experiment. this paper is helpful to guide the planning and control of terminal power grids or MG with high penetration of grid-forming DG. © 2024 ieee.

In the research community, dependable data transmission implementation is still a necessity in wireless sensor networks. Cluster routing is notable for its minimal overhead and reliable data transferring in traditional sensor wireless networks, greedy and perimeter forwarding have not yet been used to fully realize this potential for providing effective route alternatives in the setting of barriers and voids. this study presents a new Grid-Based Reliable Routing method. this is performed by establishing virtual clusters on square grids and using the quality of intra- and inter-cluster communication to select the next hop to take, the simulation's outcome demonstrates that, while maintaining channel quality, the devised technique may advance the BS farther than the customary choices made by pertinent clustering route pick procedures. Additional simulation results demonstrate the improved energy economy, reduced latency, and dependability of the proposed method with randomly distributed barriers and nodes, the requirement for effective data transfer in remote sensor networks is currently being debated in the research sector. the result of the replication shows that, in comparison to the conventional options of significant grouping course pick activities, the developed plan may advance to the BS more quickly while maintaining channel quality. Additional recreation findings have shown the improved stability, reduced idle time, and increased energy efficiency of the given system randomly hubs and snagging dispersal. © 2024 ieee.

distributed power sources can reduce transmission and network losses, improve grid stability and reliability, and lower system operation costs, which are of great significance for improving the economy and environmental protection of the power system. the signals in distributed power systems often contain various noise, harmonic, and inter-harmonic interferences, which seriously affect the accuracy of phasor measurement. To address this issue, a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm is used to optimize the strong tracking factor based on the strong tracking Kalman filter (STKF), and measure the amplitude, frequency, and phase angle of power signals. the results show that compared with the strong tracking Kalman filter, the PSO-STKF algorithm improves the accuracy and convergence speed of phasor measurement. the research enriches the content of signal measurement in power systems. © 2023 ieee.

Foot drop, a condition that impairs foot mobility due to weakened dorsiflexor muscles, increases the risk of falls and unstable gait. this study investigates the use of electromyography (EMG) signals from functional muscles to control assistive devices for individuals with foot drop, focusing on optimal sensor placement for accurate signal acquisition. Using Arduino-based hardware and MATLAB algorithms, EMG signals were recorded from targeted muscles during controlled ankle movements, with Butterworth filtering and smoothing applied to enhance signal clarity. A 3D virtual actuation model demonstrated real-Time control of object movements based on EMG data, achieving a strong correlation (R = 0.968) between EMG amplitude and actuator precision. these results suggest that accurate EMG-based control is feasible for developing effective assistive devices, improving mobility in individuals with foot drop. © 2024 ieee.

To fulfill the task of deploying line-of-sight-based sensors in complex environments, existing deployment optimization simulation systems lack analysis of real-world scenarios and specific sensors, resulting in simulations that are theoretical and lack practical significance. Utilizing geographic information systems, a sensor perception model was constructed for complex geographical environments, and a rapid line-of-sight algorithm based on physical collisions was designed. this achieved real-time deployment and visualization simulation. the results indicate that the developed system can provide better site selection recommendations for sensors utilizing line-of-sight perception in real-world scenarios, with high algorithm efficiency. © 2024 ieee.

In recent years, many educational institutions have adopted information systems such as e-Learning platforms and groupware. However, these existing information systems often have significant installation, operation, and maintenance costs. Moreover, on-premise systems require expensive servers and cloud computing systems can accumulate high maintenance expenses. To address this issue, we have proposed that utilizes idle resources (idle computers) in an organization's information system. One of the characteristics of idle computers is that communication lines can be connected or disconnected at arbitrary times according to the operations of the original users. In general, the distributed system uses an idle computer as an unstable resource. However, our proposed system requires tolerating them as normal behaviors, and it requires a test environment for this problem. In this paper, we propose a load-testing environment to use idle computers having unstable behaviors in a distributed system. We also implemented and applied the proposed environment to a distributed e-Learning system. the result shows efficiency in showing behavior of unstable behaviors of idle computers to developers. © 2023 ieee.

the sensor nodes are dispersed all through the environment to track changes in the physical and environmental conditions. Information from the environment is gathered with the help of sensors and transmitted to the Base Station (BS). the sensor node operates its sensing, computing, and communication processes using battery power. these procedures shorten the lifetime of the network and demand extra energy. the lifespan of the network problem can be effectively solved using the clustering strategy. In this paper, the Sine Cosine Algorithm (SCA) is recommended in the LEACH-C algorithm to discover efficient Cluster Head (CH). the proposed algorithm is developed by using the mathematical sine and cosine functions for finding the best solution. the proposed methodology finds the minimum distance and residual energy. this algorithm is implemented in Ns-2 for measuring the alive nodes and energy depletion. this technique minimizes energy utilization and maximizes network lifespan. © 2023 ieee.
